“年”的袭击，那个小孩吓得是浑身发抖，脸色苍白。“年”张开血盆大口，猛扑向小孩，就在这个危急时刻，那个小孩不小心把手里的竹子丢到火炉里，竹子就发出“砰砰砰”的声音，并闪耀着红色的火光，这下把“年”吓坏了，成了枪头上的雀儿----吓破了胆，马上逃得无影无踪。人们知道后，于是每到年三十就放鞭炮。

新年的早晨，我们小孩翻开枕头，就会发现枕头下面压着压岁钱，为什么要放压岁钱呢?传说古时候，有一种叫“祟”神出鬼没的小妖。大年三十晚上，“祟”就会趁每家孩子睡着时摸孩子的头，孩子的头会越来越热，像火炉一样，孩子立马也就变成了傻子。于是，年三十晚上，家长都守在小孩身边不睡，叫守“祟”。一对老夫妇，生了一个孩子，有一年年三十晚上，他们守着孩子，让孩子玩八个铜板，玩着玩着，孩子睡着了。老夫妻俩把八个铜板放在孩子的枕头下，守在孩子旁。“呼……”门外吹来了一阵阴风，把一根根蜡烛吹灭了。恐怖的“祟”来摸头了，就在它要狠心下手时，孩子的枕头下忽然发出道道金光，把“祟”吓得像风一样逃走了……于是，就有了压岁钱的来历。

每年腊月二十左右，家家户户开始手忙脚乱，我家也不例外。爸爸买菜，妈妈把衣服洗得干干净净，我也不闲着，又是挂灯笼，又是收拾家……
