After I read the book that is called “The old man and the sea” I was deeply moved by the old man and his spirit.

Everyone has his advantages and disadvantages in his life but we should face to our disadvantages and we must be confident which would also make us be confident of our life. We should have faith in what we do in our life we will have a more beautiful life in the future and our dream will come true. 这个故事叙述了：吉卜赛女郎爱斯美拉达自幼失去双亲。成人之后来到法国巴黎，靠卖艺为生。在这遇上长得非常丑的卡莫西多。卡莫西多自幼也是失去了双亲，被副教主克洛德收养，一直生活在圣母院里。克洛德贪恋爱斯美达的美貌，起了歹心，想用死刑逼迫爱斯美拉达屈服于他，做他的妻子。但爱斯美达却不肯就范。在临要行刑的最后一刻，爱斯美拉达找到了她的生母——城里的麻袋疯女，但她却逃不过悲惨命运，被吊死了，她的母亲因悲伤过度也死了，而卡莫西多把收养他的副教主克洛德从教堂的最顶处推下去后，自己也跳楼自杀了。

这个故事是十分悲伤的，故事里的主要人物全部都死去了。体现了15世纪末，当时的法国人民对宗教信仰的不敬与误解，以至大学生，教士和乞丐们都非常混乱。打着“天主教”的名义，到处欺压百姓，杀害无辜，不学无术，使当时的百姓们痛苦不堪。迷信风气的日益加重，可恶的吉卜赛人无情地抢走孩子……整个社会陷入混乱不堪的状态。

但是书中的主人翁爱斯美拉达和卡莫西多，却让我感到一丝温暖，一丝希望。虽然表面上他们看起来好像都不善良，甚至看起来有一些邪恶，但实际上他们都非常的善良，纯洁，只是当时的社会环境是邪恶，混乱的，所以对于他们两个人来说，力量是极其卑微的。正是因为他们俩的存大，带给我无比的震憾。

读完了这本书，我仍然意犹未尽，它让我如身临其境一般，感受到了当时法国社会的黑暗与混乱，但同时也让我明白了，只要心存善良，即使在黑暗的时代也会散发光芒，而最终因这个光芒而战胜邪恶，驱赶黑暗。

艾丝美拉达为了救格兰古瓦一命而假装与其结婚，其实并不爱他。克洛德派卡西莫多绑架艾丝美拉达却被弗比斯无意中救下，从此艾丝美拉达爱上了弗比斯。弗比斯在和艾丝美拉达约会时被暗中跟踪的克洛德刺杀，艾丝美拉达被诬为杀人犯。卡西莫多从刑场救下艾丝美拉达到巴黎圣母院寻求宗教避难。无赖汉冲击巴黎圣母院想救下艾丝美拉达却遭到不明真相的卡西莫多的顽强抵抗。克洛德诱骗格兰古瓦趁乱劫出艾丝美拉达欲行非礼遭拒愤然告发。艾丝美拉达被弗比斯等人抓住施以绞刑（弗比斯并非抓人者但艾丝美拉达却因他而暴露，他虽非刽子手却没伸手援救）。卡西莫多把克洛德推下巴黎圣母院的高塔。弗比斯成婚了。卡西莫多也成婚了。格兰古瓦领走了艾丝美拉达的山羊嘉利。
