To tell the truth, I can not help but shed tears several times when I watch the moving scene where Gump rushed into dangerous forest again and again to save his battle companions. What great selfless devotion Gump showed us! Unfortunately, Bubble, one of the best friends of Gump died in the battle field, which left a great grief to Gum. While, after retiring from military service, Gum kept his promise and purchased a big shrimp ship in order to finish Bubble’ dream. Meanwhile, he also provided financial support to Bubble’ family. First Lieutenant Dan, a staunch soldier, who lost his two legs in Viet Nam , abandoned himself in the abyss of despair. Nevertheless, Gump still supported him and finally help him make peace with God. Gump told us that genuine friendship needs nothing but love and sincerity.

Life is like a feather which drifts randomly in the swing of wind and there are quite some things we can not determine. But what we can do is traveling as far as we can with a genuine belief for courage, love and sincerity .If so, when time flied and all things fade away someday, the fragrance of our mellow life will last forever, just like what Gump did.

为了提高自身的英语教学质量和效率,我从学校图书馆借来《英语教学方法与策略》一书,利用业余时间认真地进行了研读,获得了不少教益。

这本书由鲁子问和康淑敏两位专家编写,由华东师范大学出版社出版,可以作为英语教学设计方向研究生教材,也可以作为中小学英语教师设计培训教材使用。我认为在英语学科骨干教师研修班接受培训期间读读这样一本书是再合适不过的。这本书介绍了教学方法与教学策略的相同与差异,提出了教学方法与策略的选择与整合的方法,介绍了英语教学方法的实践操作方法,包括情景教学法、交际教学法、任务教学法和自主学习教学,然后分析了英语教学过程的策略及实践操作方法,并从英语知识教学的策略及实践操作方法、英语技能教学的策略及时间操作方法两方面对英语教学方法与策略的行动研究提供了系统的指导。

编者用六章分别讲了教学方法与教学策略、英语教学方法的实践操作、英语教学过程的策略及实践操作、英语知识教学的策略及实践操作、英语技能教学的策略及实践操作和英语教学方法与策略的行动研究。

这本书让我羞愧于自己在教学理论和策略方面知识的匮乏,更让我明白英语教学的成功应体现在“培养学习者在真实的情景中有效使用英语的能力”我是一个率性而为的人,很多时候只是随心而教学,不会严格遵循某一教学模式。所以一直以来,教学成绩都没有取得重大突破,而我本人也一直为此烦恼,这本书教会我许多有理论支持的教学方法。如:语法翻译法、直接教学法、认知法、自然法、社团教学法、沉默教学法、全身反应法、暗示教学法。从书中我悟到了想成为一名优秀的教师必须充分认识到“教必有法”的原则性和“教务定法”的灵活性特点之间的统一关系。教师不应拘于一法一策,囿于一方一圆,而是要因地制宜,因材施教,将各类方法加以组合和调配,在吸收、借鉴已有教学方法的基础上,创造性地发挥,逐步形成富有教师个人特色的教学风格。在教学实践中,我根据教学环境、教学目标、教学内容、学生的需求和自身的教学风格适丰富了一下教学方法和策略,收到了一定的效果。

Have you heard One Thousand and One Nights? There are many interesting sorties in this book and I like Alibaba and the Forty Thieves best.

Let’s share the story together. Alibaba found the gold that the thieves hid and knew the secret .With the help of the servant, he risked his life and used the great wisdom to kill forty atrocious thieves. He avenged his brother .Though he was poor, he did not take the gold himself and gave the gold to the poor. The poor loved him very much.

From the story, I feel the power of wisdom and value of love. In our actual life, we may meet many kinds of difficulties and lure. We should face them bravely and try our best to overcome them. In my daily life, I often felt panic and cried when I met any difficulties about my study. Sometimes, I ask money from my parents but do meaningless things. I am really ashamed.

In the future , I decide to study hard .I do everything that I can do to reduce the pressure of parents .I will try my best to be brave and intelligent. I believe I can do better.

Published in 1847, Wuthering Heights was not well received by the reading public, many of whom condemned it as sordid, vulgar, and unnatural--and author Emily Bronte went to her grave in 1848 believing that her only novel was a failure. It was not until 1850, when Wuthering Heights received a second printing with an introduction by Emilys sister Charlotte, that it attracted a wide readership. And from that point the reputation of the book has never looked back. Today it is widely recognized as one of the GREat novels of English literature.

Even so, Wuthering Heights continues to divide readers. It is not a pretty love story; rather, it is swirling tale of largely unlikeable people caught up in obsessive love that turns to dark madness. It is cruel, violent, dark and brooding, and many people find it extremely unpleasant. And yet--it possesses a grandeur of language and design, a sense of tremendous pity and GREat loss that sets it apart from virtually every other novel written.

The novel is told in the form of an extended FLASHback. After a visit to his strange landlord, a newcomer to the area desires to know the history of the family--which he receives from Nelly Deans, a servant who introduces us to the Earnshaw family who once resided in the house known as Wuthering Heights. It was once a cheerful place, but Old Earnshaw adopted a "Gipsy" child who he named Heathcliff. And Catherine, daughter of the house, found in him the perfect companion: wild, rude, and as proud and cruel as she. But although Catherine loves him, even recognizes him as her soulmate, she cannot lower herself to marry so far below her social station. She instead marries another, and in so doing sets in motion an obsession that will destroy them all.

Wuthering Heights is a bit difficult to "get into;" the opening chapters are so dark in their portrait of the end result of this obsessive love that they are somewhat off-putting. But they feed into the flow of the work in a remarkable way, setting the stage for one of the most remarkable structures in all of literature, a story that circles upon itself in a series of repetitions as it plays out across two generations. Catherine and Heathcliff are equally remarkable, both vicious and cruel, and yet never able to shed their impossible love no matter how brutally one may wound the other.

As the novel coils further into alcoholism, seduction, and one of the most elaborately imagined plans of revenge it gathers into a ghostly tone: Heathcliff, driven to madness by a woman who is not there but who seems reflected in every part of his world--dragging her corpse from the grave, hearing her calling to him from the moors, escalating his brutality not for the sake of brutality but so that her memory will never fade, so that she may never leave his mind until death itself. Yes, this is madness, insanity, and there is no peace this side of the grave or even beyond.

It is a stunning novel, frightening, inexorable, unsettling, filled with unbridled passion that makes one cringe. Even if you do not like it, you should read it at least once--and those who do like it will return to it again and again.

Today, I read a famous American writer Ernest Hemingways novel "the old man and the sea", the book left a deep impression on me, I very admire book old fishermans will, he let me know how a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed.

On the description of the old man and the sea is a nearly sixty years old fisherman, in a single sea, caught a big fish, but do not go up. 《老人与海 》描写的是一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次单身出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，却拉不上来。老渔夫同大鱼周旋了几天后，才发现这是一条超过自己渔船数倍的大马林鱼，虽然明知难以取胜，但仍不放弃。后来又因大马林鱼伤口上的鱼腥味引来了几群鲨鱼抢食，但老人不愿这样放弃，最终突出重围，将大鱼的骨头带回了渔港，让其他渔夫佩服不已。

当我读到爷爷与鲨鱼进行激烈的搏斗时，我真为爷爷担心，可是爷爷，总是保持着乐观的精神去面对一些极大的困难，看到这里，我不由得想起自己。每当我遇到了一些困难时，总是觉得很不顺心，觉得很烦，很想逃避现实。再看看桑提阿果爷爷，不管遇到任何困难也毫不退缩，而是勇敢地去面对!

the Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a GREat part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre.

My first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. I thought its normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.

巴黎圣母院里住着道貌岸然且性情乖戾的副主教克洛德神父和驼背的丑八怪卡西莫多。卡西莫多对克洛德神父忠心耿耿，百依百顺。有一天，貌若仙女的吉卜赛姑娘爱斯美拉达出此刻他们两人的面前，起舞翩跹。她是那样的美丽而神秘，始终带着一仅有金色犄角的山羊。

看完了这本书，我感到了当时18世记的社会统治阶级当道善良的人是他们的玩物，善良的爱斯美拉达成了他们的牺牲品。但，邪恶终究斗可是正义，真正的凶手克洛德神父得到了应有的下场。历史到了21世纪的今日，在政府带领下，邪恶受到了抑制，真善美得到了颂扬，人民安居乐业!

这是我读过的第一部外国悲剧，剧中有一个美丽善良的吉普赛姑娘爱斯梅拉达，她在广场上翩翩起舞，身后跟着漂亮聪明的小山羊丽丽，她们在我心中就是美丽与智慧的化身，就和我以往读过的白雪公主，灰姑娘一样。而那丑陋畸形的敲钟人卡西莫多一出场就让我厌恶，那个胡乱拼凑起来的身躯在钟楼上来回跳荡，发出怪兽一般的咆哮。“他真像地狱里的恶魔!”这就是美与丑，善良与邪恶的答案吗?

当然读完了这个故事，事实并非如此。

河滩广场上，有沸腾的人群，有威望的红衣主教，有跋扈的士兵，当然还有强悍的刽子手和让人畏惧的绞刑架。爱斯梅拉达死了。她没有像白雪公主和灰姑娘一样嫁给她们心爱的王子，而是死在她曾经跳过舞的广场上，死在她曾经捧给卡西莫多水喝的广场上。她是善良的，却没有一个美丽的童话结局，她白色的裙摆飘散在风中，那时太阳正好升起。

塔顶的眼睛悄悄流出了眼泪。“他的独眼虽然流过泪，但只有一滴，如今却泪水滂沱。”最终搂着自己爱的人死去，化作永不会分开的灰尘。此时此刻丑就在美的旁边，畸形靠近着优美，丑怪藏在崇高的背后，美与恶并存，光明与黑暗相共，雨果说。

究竟什么是美，什么是丑?丑陋的外表下，可能藏着一颗火热纯真的心灵;英俊的面容里，也可能深埋了龌龊可耻、卑鄙和扭曲。所以，我们不能以貌取人，真正的美是外在美与内在美的和谐统一。拥有一颗善待他人、无私奉献、珍惜生命、充满责任的心灵才是每一个人应该具备的。同时，我们要学会珍惜日常生活中的亲情、友情……尊重身边每个人，不要等这些让生命精彩的亮点逝去后才后悔不已。

I was experiencing the feeling of paradox after reading the book. I felt my eyes wet when I read his stories, about how Mr. Jobs was able to overcome the challenges in life. These are challenges that I, you, and a lot of us will never encountered, but I understand how it must feel to be in the middle of the situations, and how it must feel being hopeless. This understanding has led me to the being moved by Steve Jobs’s bra一veness and persistence. The power of his dream had proved beyond anything, illness, unfairness and death. He continued to love his career even after being diagnosed cancer, and used his power and strengths to change the world by changing how all of us see it.

He was a nerd, a crazy man, a paranoid, but there was no evidence that would show him not being one of the greatest man in human history. Even though people found themselves tired working with Mr. Jobs （he was such a paranoid）， they loved him, as he could bring the novelty to this world and make a difference. To the great man who changed the world with mac and ipod, to the hero of the electronic industry, to Steve Jobs, you will always be my hero.

Anne is a distinctive girl. She had her own mind. Maybe in the views of others she is a naughty girl. Especially she has a quiet sister. Comparing with Margot she was not favorable. At the beginning her general appearance her character her manners were discussed from A to Z. But with the time going by she were becoming sensible. One must apply one’s reason to everything earning to obey to hold our tongue to help to be good to give in. Life has the great power to change us to adapt it. In addition Anne started afresh and tried to get to the bottom of it all. As she said we should examine the whole matter carefully ourselves and find out what is true and what is exaggerated. In our daily life we often meet arguments with parents. We can stick to the Anne’s principle. If parents are wrong we shall try first of all to make them alter their ideas and if we don’t succeed we shall stick to our own opinions and judgement. Although she lived in a small room she still had a brightful heart. She believed that it was spiring within her she felt that spring was awaking she felt it in her whole body and soul. And in the book she wrote and thought much of the time about things which very sensitive. For example she described a lot about the affair with Peter. It’s normal for a teenager. I think parents should read this book so they can regard this question correctly.

Anne said “One certainly could not call us rich now but all my hopes are pinned on after the war.” Now we are in the peaceful world hope is full of our life. So there is no reason putting off achieving dreams we should treasure everyone everything every moment that we have.

Thoughts or reflections on reading Wuthering Heights

The book was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. The book is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.

Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. (七)那些石头至今一定还记得，当时他深沉而悲悯的叹息，炽热的手指仿佛一团燃烧的火焰，感知到他痛苦地摸索人性的心脏的历程。

(十)巴黎圣母院的顶部是两坐钟楼，南钟楼的巨钟重十三吨。卡西莫多曾经是这儿的钟乐奏鸣家。那些钟是唯一能深入到这个聋子和独眼人灵魂深处的一丝光亮。他爱它们，他跟它们说话，了解它们，享受他独一无二的快乐。他让这神秘的教堂流动一种特殊的生气。

(十一)原来是在人群与焰火之间一个宽阔的空地上，有个少女在跳舞。

(十二) 最伟大的建筑大半是社会的产物而不是个人的产物。与其说它们是天才的创作，不如说它们是劳苦大众的艺术结晶。它们是民族的宝藏，世纪的积累，是人类社会才华不断升华所留下的残渣。总之，它们是一种岩层。每个时代的浪潮都给它们增添冲积土，每一代人都在这座纪念性建筑上铺上他们自己的一层土，人类也是这样做的。

(十三) 爱情是什么?是一道神奇的加法：一个思念加上一个思念，就能变成十五的月亮。是一轮非凡的听力：即使隔着千山万水，也能听到彼此的激动的心跳。是一串美妙的语言：可以是柔情似水，如同烟波，也可以风风火火，惊天动地。是一把牢固的锁：它把亲密恋人如情如语的话，锁进记忆的梦里。是一种特等的信函：装在里面的是一个甜甜的吻，寄出去的是一个亲亲的问候。

(十四) 很难形容他在那些钟乐齐奏的日子里享有的那种欢乐。每当副主教放开他，向他说“去吧”的时候，他爬上钟楼的螺旋梯比别人下来还快。他气喘吁吁地跑进放那口大钟的房间，沉思地、爱抚地向那口大钟凝视了一会，接着就温柔地向它说话，用手拍拍它，好像对待一匹就要开始一次长途驰骋的好马，他对那口钟即将开始的辛劳表示怜惜。这样抚慰了一番之后，他便吼叫一声，召唤下一层楼里其余的钟开始行动，它们都在粗绳上挂着。

(十五) 这时那座钟塔震动起来了，他呢，吼叫着，磨着牙齿，他的头发根根直竖，胸膛里发出拉风箱一般的响声，眼睛里射出光芒，那口古怪的大钟就在他下面喘息地嘶鸣,于是，那既不是圣母院的钟也不是伽西莫多了，却成了一个梦境，一股旋风，一阵暴雨，一种在喧嚣之上的昏晕，成了一个紧抓住飞行物体的幽灵，一个半身是人半身是钟的怪物，一个附在大铜怪身上的阿斯朵甫。

(十六) 他想像她或许又回来了，一位仁慈的天使一定把她带回来了，这小屋子这么沉静，这么稳固，这么可爱，不会没有她在里面的，他不敢向前再走一步，唯恐他的幻想破灭。他自言自语地说道：“是的，她也许还在睡觉，或者在祈告。不要去惊动她。”

(十七) 雨果曾在《巴黎圣母院》的序言里说，数年前，他在参观她时，在一座尖顶钟楼的阴暗角落里，发现墙上手刻的字：ANARKH。这几个大写的希腊字母，历经岁月侵蚀，黑黝黝的，深深嵌进石头，这些难以描状的符号，尤其所蕴藏的宿命和悲惨的意义，深深震撼了他的心灵。

(十八) 那时候圣母院前有露天的咖啡馆，他在那儿喝工夫咖啡，口味浓重，一直坐到夕阳落尽，看晚霞的色彩在圣母院白色的石墙上均匀涂抹。我想象着当年的雨果，究竟是怀着一种怎样的看不见的心境，日夜徘徊在圣母院前墙巨大的阴影下面，听着钟楼传来的悠悠钟声，轻轻抚摩那一块快被岁月雕刻上命运的石头，钟楼上神秘的文字情不自禁地跳入脑海，他心里缓缓升起一股崇高而痛楚的情愫，开始构思一个波澜壮阔的故事。

(十九) 他左思右想，这苦难的灵魂是谁，非把这罪恶的烙印，或者说这灾难的烙印留在这古老教堂的额头上不可，否则就不肯离开尘世。参观完以后，那面墙壁经过了粉刷和刮磨，刻在圣母院阴暗钟楼上的神秘字迹也就随之泯灭了，如今已荡然无存，其催人泪下所概括的那段不为人知的命运，也烟消云散了。在墙上写下字的人，连同字，都从人间消失了。

(二十五) 伽西莫多在劫掠爱斯梅拉达时被捕，第二天被带到邢台上示众：伽西莫多由于长得奇丑无比，从小备受人们的鄙弃，嫌恶和欺侮。而这一次，因为劫掠埃及姑娘而被捕，更是受尽了折磨和凌辱，人们都嘲笑他，咒骂他，虐待他，这时，奇异的事情却发生了，那个被劫掠的波西米亚姑娘从人群中走了上来。

(二十六) 伽西莫多此时的心理反应是：她是来报复的，是想别人一样来打他的。当我看到这儿的时候我也相信伽西莫多的判断，以怨报怨，这是世间最公平的法则。伽西莫多愤怒了，我们看到他的独眼里射出了雷电一样的怒火，几乎可以致人于死地----如果眼光可以杀人的话。

(二十七) 然而出乎一切人的意料之外，埃及姑娘不是来报复他的，她是可怜他，为他送上一口水的。姑娘这样的举动给了我一种心灵震撼的感觉，那姑娘真是有一颗金子般的心啊。接着，伽西莫多那一直干燥如焚的眼睛里，流出了一颗大泪珠，沿着那长时间被失望弄皱了的难看的脸流下来。这也许是那不幸的人生平第一次流出眼泪。我们可以想见他此刻的心情，他的眼睛之所以干燥如焚不就是因为缺少爱吗?是姑娘的一口水滋润了他的心田，化成感动的泪水，流动下来。埃及姑娘的举动太出乎他的意料之外了，由于惊讶于她的善良，他居然忘了去喝水!
