潮汕地区的中秋节，不仅有吃月饼之俗，还有相互馈赠月饼之举，这就促进了潮汕朥饼制作工艺的发展，由最初的家庭制作发展到专门作坊制作，潮汕朥饼更被称为潮式月饼而著称于世；而意溪朥饼、苏南朥饼和贵屿朥饼等早已闻名遐迩，与京式月饼、广式月饼、苏式月饼和津式月饼并列，成为五种全国闻名的月饼之一。

中秋节自古就有拜月的习俗。《礼记》中载的“秋暮夕月”，即是拜月神，潮汕人称为“拜月娘 ”。相传古代齐国丑女无盐，幼年时曾虔诚拜月，长大后以超群品德入宫。虽未得宠，但在某年的八月十五赏月时，天子在月光下见到她，觉得她美丽出众，便立她为皇后，中秋拜月由此而来。潮汕地区的拜月则源于“嫦娥奔月”和月中有“破柴翁”的传说。月中嫦娥以美貌著称，故少女拜月，愿“貌似嫦娥，面如皓月”；待字闺中的女子拜月则企盼能嫁得个好夫婿；特别是过去的潮汕华侨众多，有不少妇人与丈夫远隔重洋，多年难见一面，思念之情更切，于是借拜月寄意。

在中秋节将到来的时候，各家各户的主妇便忙着用糯米碾成粉末儿， 然后掺上白糖浆搅匀，再用一个个木馍子，把它们压在镂凹进去的部分里面。压结实了，磕出来，便成了一块块形状各异、大小不同的“月糕”。 “月糕”花纹漂亮洁白如雪，一些动物形壮的月糕更令孩子们爱不释手。还有用洁白的糯米粿或是加了“艳米”的红艳艳的粿加花生再做成镰刀，饭勺，收稻桶，稻穗，等模样的粿品，都是寓意着丰收的美味。此外，还有一种用花生炒熟了加麦芽糖捏成桃形的“地豆桃”，尤其香脆无比。

当三五之夜到来、玉兔东升时，人们就将大方桌摆在庭院、埕口或阳台,然后, 拿两根甘蔗在方桌上扎一个拱门，称为月宫门。祭月时，常让小孩供上新 买的文具——笔、课本和书包等，祈求“月娘”保佑孩子读书聪明，成绩优秀， 将来出人头地。并撮一点香灰，慎重地包在红纸上，然后用“井心水”（刚从井里打上来的水,打水时水桶不能碰到井沿）送服,说这是“月娘”恩赐的“仙丹” ，喝了能使人变得聪明、健康。年轻小姑娘们也会把自己做的手工艺品摆来拜月，以祈求自己心灵手巧。妇女们还会把新买的化妆品摆上来拜月娘，祈望自己能像“月娘”一样美貌出众。就在女人们张罗祭拜时，男人们则约三五好友，登高望月，在阳台上 摆上潮汕工夫茶具，生上炉火，品茗茗赏月，乐哉悠哉。

《澄海县志》载：中秋这一天，一切人家都相赠月饼。赏月的宴会必吃熟芋，剥去芋皮，叫做“ 剥鬼皮”。人们还以这晚天气晴朗或阴暗来预卜上元节的阴晴。谚语说：“云掩中秋月，雨洒元宵灯。”

二、芋头祭祖，吃芋头

潮汕有俗谚：“河溪对嘴，芋仔食到”。八月间，正是芋的收成时节，农民都习惯以芋头来祭拜祖先。这固然与农事有关，但民间还有一则流传广泛的传说：1279年，蒙古贵族灭了南宋，建立元朝，对汉人进行了残酷的统治。马发据守潮州抗元，城破后，百姓惨遭屠杀。为了不忘胡人统治之苦，后人就取芋头与“胡头”谐音，且形似人头，以此来祭奠祖先，历代相传，至今犹存。

三、烧瓦塔

中秋夜烧瓦窑（即“烧瓦塔”）是潮汕的另一习俗。瓦窑高１至３米不等，多用碎瓦片砌成，大的瓦窑要用砖块砌到一定的高度后，再用瓦片叠砌而成，瓦窑的下方要留一个窑门口，以供投放燃料。近年来，一些地方砌的瓦窑，则全部用砖条砌成，瓦窑的高也超出了３米，有两三层楼之高，更是吸引了四方的人前来观看。砌瓦窑和烧瓦窑，主要是男人和小孩的事，女人一般是不会参加的。烧瓦窑一般都在中秋节的晚上，燃料有柴、竹、稻草、谷壳等；当瓦窑燃烧到火旺时，便可泼入松香粉、盐等引焰助威。

中秋前几天，青少年们就忙碌起来，四处捡拾残破瓦片，积聚枯树枝、废木片木块，于中秋下午就开始砌瓦塔。塔的大小高低，依据积聚瓦片的多寡及参与者的年龄层次而定，10岁左右的孩子砌的是小瓦塔，一般只有两三尺高。青年

砌的规模较大，因为他们年龄大些，会从四方八面搬来瓦片，故砌的瓦塔往往有五六尺到一丈多高。瓦塔累砌也有讲究，大瓦塔的塔基要铺上红砖条或灰砖块，然后按“品”字形的格局构建。为了使塔身通风透气和造型美观，大的瓦塔常是两片瓦片合在一起按“品”字形架放。塔下留出才目对的两个门，一个用于投放燃料，另一个掏出木灰。塔的上端留出空口，供吐火舌、火炯之用。砌建瓦塔地方，大都在旷埕与广场，在同一场地中，有时砌上几个瓦塔。月亮升至半空以后瓦塔开始燃烧起来，至燃烧猛烈时，瓦片被烧得通红透亮，塔口的火焰直冲云天，就在这个时候，人们把粗粒的海盐，一大把一大把地撒向塔里，瓦塔发出像鞭炮一样的噼啪响声，再撒上硫磺，燃放出蓝色光焰，十分壮观，招引广大群众围观欣赏。有的地方，还把烧塔作为竞赛项目，塔建得高、烧得美和旺的，经群众评议后给予奖。

传说烧瓦窑始于元朝末年，当时中原人民不堪忍受元朝统治阶级的残酷统治，于是相约中秋夜燃烟堆作为起义信号。此后，中秋节烧瓦窑的习俗便在民间流传开来，有些地方还保留着烧烟堆的习俗。又因“瓦”与“蚁”在潮语里同音，又有“烧瓦窑”可以把各家各户的蚂蚁烧死，来年不再有蚂蚁为患之苦的说法。

此外，潮汕地区的中秋节，还有“游月娘”、“落阿姑”等习俗。现在，有些习俗已被淘汰，有些习俗也没旧时那么盛行，但设案赏月，把酒问月，遥祝远方亲人，共庆美好生活等习俗仍然流行。潮汕中秋习俗潮汕地区人民向往美好生活。举办各种具有特色习俗活动、饱蘸地区风情、赋予浓郁民俗特色活动，对于激发人们爱家乡具有重要的意义。

种类繁多的民间习俗，千百年来一直充实在我们的日常生活里。不知不觉，中秋节又来到了我们身边。在这个节日里，我感受到浓浓的节日气氛和亲人的血脉之情。也感受到传统的节日习俗，对我们生活的意义。

吃月饼

中秋节，是个团圆的日子，在外地的亲人都尽可能地赶回家，和亲人团聚在一起。中秋节有吃月饼的习俗，爸爸妈妈买来了月饼。到了夜晚，月光泼洒下来，把院子照的亮如白昼。我们在院子里放了一张小桌子，桌子上摆满了各式鲜香的水果、糕点，当然了，今晚的主角――月饼，绝对不可缺少的，高高地摞在桌子中央。

赏明月

中秋节的月亮像水洗了一样，不但特别明亮，还水汪汪的。一家人坐在院子里，一边观赏着月亮，一边品尝月饼，一边聊着天，感受节日给我们带来的这份恬静。我仔细揣摩着月亮，它时而像个害羞的小姑娘，低头不语。时而像个顽皮的孩子，躲进云彩后面。时而不声不响地看着我，让我有些不敢直视它。品种繁多的月饼固然好吃，而我不知道为什么非要中秋节吃呢？这也许是一种民间习俗吧。

民俗也好，习惯也好，都来自着于家族的血脉之缘，包含着家人们浓郁的团聚之情；传统节日习俗之中有着丰富的文化内涵，都是值得我们继承的。它不但能凝聚民族精神，提高民族凝聚力。还能化解人们之间的矛盾，促进社会和谐的意义。

Mid-autumn day Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. Itfalls on the 15th day of august lunar month every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I have two reasons.

First of all, mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunite. In china, people regard mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional festival. There are laws to make sure people have holidays in that special day. In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love mid-autumn festival so much. It is funny and happy time.

中秋节在中国是一个特殊的节日，是中国的传统节日。中秋节是每年农历的八月十五号。我们中国人会庆祝那一天。我觉得没有多少人可以拒绝它的诱惑。我很喜欢这个节日。我有两个理由。

首先，中秋节的深层含义是团聚。在中国，人们把中秋节看得很重，所以无论他们在哪里，如果有机会的话他们都会回到他们家人身边。他们不喜欢在外面庆祝这一节日，这会让他们感到孤独。因此，他们会竭尽全力回家。幸运的是，政府也非常重视这一传统节日。所以法律规定在这特别的日子里会放假。换句话来说，中秋节为家人团聚提供了机会。

其次，每个家庭都会在这一天准备一顿大餐。所有的食物都很好吃。有大餐吃真的很棒。我觉得没人会对美味的食物不感兴趣。月饼是中秋节的一个必需的装饰。它也很美味。这是很久以前的传统。一边赏月一边吃着月饼是多么惬意啊!

这就是为什么我那么喜欢中秋节的原因。那是快乐有趣的时光。

这个节日的由来逝代中国有一位博学多闻的官吏屈原，他是一位爱民而且又受到尊崇的官吏，但是由於一位充满嫉妒的官吏陷害，从此在朝廷中被皇帝所冷落。由於无法获得皇帝的重视，屈原在忧郁的情况下投汨罗江自尽。

由於对屈原的爱戴，汨罗江畔的居民匆忙的划船在江内寻找屈原，并且将米丢入汨罗江中，以平息汨罗江中的蛟龙。即使他们当时并没有找到屈原，但是他们的行为，直到今天在端午节的时候，仍然被人们传颂纪念著。

The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man，but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperors court.

Unable to regain the respect of the emperor，in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan， the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons.

Although they were unable to find Chu Yuan，their efforts are still commemorated today during the Dragon Boat Festival.

A Lovely Cat

Several days ago, Mother brought home a little cat. I gave her a nice name "Mimi".

She is black all over except her: four feet and a small nose. There is also a white bib on her chest. Can you imagine what she looks like? Every morning she gets up the earliest. Then she always climbs up my bed and wakes me up. When we sit at table having our meal, she often runs under the table and even climbs onto our knees, it seems as if she was saying, "Let me join you. I want something to eat."

"Mimi" likes to lie onthe floor in the sunshine. She feels;comfortable that way. She looks more lovely when doing that.
