原因很简单，世世代代都是在这天举行过节，在这个节日里人们都喜欢带上中秋月饼串门探亲访友，交流思想感情。我们几乎每天去拜访亲朋好友，亲朋好友也来拜访我们，这样一来一去的，都没时间去超市采购了，而别人送给我们的礼物中唯一的一盒月饼，又被奶奶“无情”地送给了我的干姐姐，所以直到中秋节的傍晚，家里还是没见到一个月饼的影子。

没有月饼的中秋节，我可不想过这样没意义的节日，于是便缠着奶奶要去买，平时最宠我的奶奶可没想到却一口否决了。她说：“吃月饼有害健康，而且会让人长得更胖”。

看来，想吃到月饼的我，今年已经见不到我那美味的月饼了。

“但是，”她把这二个字咬得特重，“我们难道不能用其它的东西来代替月饼吗?”

我恍然大悟：“我知道该做什么了!”!

到了晚上，我拿起一把小刀一个苹果，一刀一刀的，不一会一块呈不规则图形的苹果片就呈现我眼前，接着又一阵雕刻，“月饼”中央立马出现了一个巨大的“月”字，再往边上的一些地方点上少许番茄酱，一个完美的“月饼”就在我的巧手中完工了。

不过，它虽然外观不错，但味道却实在不咋样的。我又找来了几种水果，看上去明显不合适。这时奶奶又把两个圆圆的大白馒头交给我。我愣愣地呆了一会儿，心里逐渐有点儿佩服起奶奶来了。这次我直接在馒头上用番茄酱写一个大大的“月”字，再放进烤箱里一烤，香味顿时飘满了整个厨房。再细品一小口，那味儿真让人流口水。

这下好了，既不用花很多的钱，也能吃上“月饼”，而且还能体会到无限的乐趣，真可谓是“一举三得”呀!而且这“月饼”吃起来，也竟不比五仁月饼差也，成本也便宜，而且比较健康，可谓是“赛月饼”啊!

这个没有真正的月饼的中秋，依然是一个幸福、充实的中秋节!

到了晚上，饥肠辘辘的我们迫不及待想吃月饼，由于爸妈今天休息，所以一家人团聚在一起吃月饼会有种兴奋洋溢的感觉。奶奶切开了一个大月饼，首先她把两份月饼摆在了灶台上，然后拜了拜，终于开始吃了…。。当我们吃得差不多的时候，就要出去放纸灯了。

在中秋节放纸灯，是姐姐想的点子。这个程序，是一件十分烂漫的事情。奶奶拿出了几张五颜六色的大彩纸，她将厚厚的纸放在手中搓来搓去，让纸变得柔软起来，这样可以折起来方便些。我们在一旁马上拿出了蜡烛，点上了火，蜡烛便燃烧起来。心灵手巧的奶奶三下五除二就把纸折成了一只较大的船。我们接过纸船，往它的下面和侧面均匀地滴上了蜡烛油，然后将另外小巧玲珑的小杯子状的蜡烛放在了纸船的中间。一家人就到河边放起了纸船，火光照亮了纸船，在水中渐渐漂去，我们都闭上了眼睛，默默许愿……

之后我们聚在阳台上，望着夜空中的圆月，吃着月饼，说有关于中秋的美丽传说，猜有关嫦娥的歇后语……。就这样，我渐渐地睡着了。

中秋节是我国的传统佳节。根据史籍的记载，“中秋”一词最早出现在《周礼》一书中。到魏晋时，有“谕尚书镇牛淆，中秋夕与左右微服泛江”的记载。直到唐朝初年，中秋节才成为固定的节日。《唐书·太宗记》记载有“八月十五中秋节”。中秋节的盛行始于宋朝，至明清时，已与元旦齐名，成为我国的主要节日之一。这也是我国仅次于春节的第二大传统节日。

根据我国的历法，农历八月在秋季中间，为秋季的第二个月，称为“仲秋”，而八月十五又在“仲秋”之中，所以称“中秋”。中秋节有许多别称：因节期在八月十五，所以称“八月节”、“八月半”;因中秋节的主要活动都是围绕“月”进行的，所以又俗称“月节”“月夕”;中秋节月亮圆满，象征团圆，因而又叫“团圆节”。在唐朝，中秋节还被称为“端正月”。关于“团圆节”的记载最早见于明代。《西湖游览志余》中说：“八月十五谓中秋，民间以月饼相送，取团圆之意”。《帝京景物略》中也说：“八月十五祭月，其饼必圆，分瓜必牙错，瓣刻如莲花。……其有妇归宁者，是日必返夫家，曰团圆节?quot;。中秋晚上，我国大部分地区还有烙“团圆”的习俗，即烙一种象征团圆、类似月饼的小饼子，饼内包糖、芝麻、桂花和蔬菜等，外压月亮、桂树、兔子等图案。祭月之后，由家中长者将饼按人数分切成块，每人一块，如有人不在家即为其留下一份，表示合家团圆。

中秋节时，云稀雾少，月光皎洁明亮，民间除了要举行赏月、祭月、吃月饼祝福团圆等一系列活动，有些地方还有舞草龙，砌宝塔等活动。除月饼外，各种时令鲜果干果也是中秋夜的美食。

中秋节起源的另一个说法是：农历八月十五这一天恰好是稻子成熟的时刻，各家都拜土地神。中秋可能就是秋报的遗俗。

The Middle-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional Chinese festivals,it

is often held in September or October.During the festival,family members get

united and have mooncakes together.THere are various kind of mooncakes,such as

bean paste,egg-yolk or meat.The shape of a mooncake is round as it symbolizes a

近些年来，每当中秋节到来时，我总是借探亲之机带点沈阳产的名牌月饼给父母，可是对年迈的父母来说，想完整地吃完一块月饼乃非易事。

因为家里穷孩子又多，吃月饼显然是一件非常让人奢望的事，不过再穷过中秋节时家里也要买上几块月饼，以保证节日当晚每人能够分得半块或一丫。说起过中秋节，老家还有一个十分有趣的仪式呢！这个仪式叫供月亮。在月亮即将出来的时，家家户户将月饼和瓜果桃梨装摆放在屋外窗台上，意思是让月亮先享用。在东西摆放停当后，母亲常常会冲着月亮口中念念有词，大概的意思是感谢月亮给我们带来了好年景，保佑一家人平安和团圆。

在我儿时的记忆中，中秋节当晚供过月亮后，一家人便围坐在一起，每人分得一份月饼，外加一个苹果或几粒枣（有时候还可以得到一片西瓜）。我对属于自己的一份月饼吃的总是非常仔细——反复咀嚼、品味，绝不会几口吞下。现在想起那时候过中秋节的场景，那气氛真是温馨快乐啊，感觉那时候的月饼是那么的甜、那么的香、那么的令人回味！

那时候，月饼的品种十分单一，无非就是枣泥馅、豆沙馅、红糖、白糖馅。特别是红糖白糖馅的月饼，里面有的有冰糖、青丝（红丝）、花生仁甚至核桃仁。如果发现了花生仁和核桃仁，我常常会把它保存下来，一时半会儿舍不得吃掉。现在经济发达了，日子富裕了，月饼的品种和花样也越来越多，什么玫瑰馅、椰蓉馅、桂花馅，甚至还有各种肉馅的等等，花样真是层出不穷，难以计数。可是不管什么馅，什么风味的月饼，我几乎都不怎么感兴趣了，儿时那月饼的味道是现在的任何月饼都无法取代的。尽管那时候生活清贫，物质匮乏，但人们的精神是那样富足和乐观。如今，我已过而立之年，在憧憬美好明天的同时，我常常会回想起过去的时光。

Oceans becoming more acidicThe worlds oceans are slowly getting more acidic, say scientists.The researchers from California say the change is taking place in response to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.The lowering of the waters pH value is not great at the moment but could pose a serious threat to current marine life if it continues, they warn.Ken Caldeira and Michael Wickett, from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, report their concerns in the journal Nature.Increasing use of fossil fuels means more carbon dioxide is going into the air, and most of it will eventually be absorbed by seawater.

Once in the water, it reacts to form carbonic acid.Scientists believe that the oceans have already become slightly more acidic over the last century.But these researchers have tried to predict what will happen in the future by combining what we know about the history of the oceans with computer models of climate change."This level of acidity will get much more extreme in the future if we continue releasing CO2 into the atmosphere," said Dr Caldeira."And we predicted amounts of future acidity that exceed anything we saw over the last several hundred million years, apart from perhaps after rare catastrophic events such as asteroid impacts."If carbon dioxide release continues unabated, ocean pH could be reduced by as much as 0.77 units, the authors warn.It is not absolutely clear what that means for marine life, however.

Most organisms live near the surface, where the greatest pH change would be expected to occur, but deep-ocean lifeforms may be more sensitive to pH changes.Coral reefs and other organisms whose skeletons or shells contain calcium carbonate may be particularly affected, the team speculate. They could find it much more difficult to build these structures in water with a lower pH.In recent years some people have suggested deliberately storing carbon dioxide from power stations in the deep ocean as a way of curbing global warming.But Dr Caldeira said that such a strategy should now be re-considered."Previously, most experts had looked at ocean absorption of carbon dioxide as a good thing - because in releasing CO2 into the atmosphere we warm the planet; and when CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, it reduces the amount of greenhouse warming.

The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it

simply as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Moon".

This day was also considered as a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables

and grain had been harvested by this time and food was abundant. Food offerings

were placed on an altar set up in the courtyard. Apples, pears, peaches, grapes,

pomegranates(石榴), melons, oranges and pomelos(柚子) might be seen. Special foods

for the festival included moon cakes, cooked taro(芋头)and water caltrope(菱角), a

type of water chestnut resembling black buffalo horns. Some people insisted that

cooked taro be included because at the time of creation, taro was the first food

discovered at night in the moonlight. Of all these foods, it could not be

omitted from the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The generation gap is unavoidable in almost every family, which brings

about a number of conflicts in a family. In my opinion, to limit the bad effects

of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

meantime, once old people realize young people are nurtured in a new modern way,

it is easy for them to be tolerant of young people’s new habits or hobbies.

Secondly, people of each generation should not develop a very high feeling

about themselves. In order to do that, they should not think that they are the

only right people in their family because each person has his or her own

limitations. Teenagers would realize that their parents have to struggle with

pain to support them financially, and they would stop rebelling their

strictness. Parents would realize that their children’s new style does no harm

to their studies and stop imposing their own unsuitable standards on their

children.

Finally, the generation gap and its bad effects can be limited if all

members cooperate to build up a close-knit family relationship and a harmonious

atmosphere in which they are open and tolerant of each other. I strongly believe

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

interference by the generation gap.

Whatever one does, one should do it with confidence. If one has no confidence, there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything, especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This troth seems to be self-evident. However, in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they lack the ability to do ,something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome,For someone, this might be true. But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart.

Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing some thing? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, these people do not have a correct estimate of themselves. Second, they overestimate the difficulties.

It is passible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards ones own abilities. We should never underesrimate our abilities but should believe in the proverb: "Where there is a will, there is a way." Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully.
