Man and His Environment

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings.

每个月的15号，爸爸都会带上我回老家。 On the 15th of each month, my dad will bring me back to my hometown.

爸爸说有两个原因，一是回来看望奶奶，二是给村上的池塘清清垃圾洗洗……

我心里觉得很奇怪，为什么池塘也要洗澡呢?爸爸告诉我：“如果你十天半月不洗澡会怎么样呢?身体臭臭对不对?那池塘也是一样，那么多的垃圾被扔到里面，也会臭臭哦，那么池塘里的小鱼和其他小动物也会被污染的，我们也就吃不到干净的小鱼小虾，不能用干净的水洗米洗菜，也不能下池塘游泳了哦。“

我问爸爸为什么其他那么多人不去干活，为什么要你去捡垃圾呢?爸爸说他是党员，要起带头作用，要让更多的人知道水资源的珍贵，让更多人知道保护水源的意义。于是，我帮着爸爸一起捡起池塘边各种大大小小的垃圾，心里觉得很开心。

就这样捡着捡着，突然间想起不久前妈妈带着我到施光南玩，看着那广场上弯弯曲曲的小河流水，我感到很开心很兴奋，狂奔着跑向小河，挽起裤管刚想下去玩水游泳，结果被妈妈阻止了，但还是嘟着嘴坚持要下去，想着那就是我的天堂，妈妈真不够意思。这时妈妈走过来，摸摸我的头，微笑着说：”宝贝，那小河里被扔进了很多的垃圾，会产生很多的细菌，你要是下去玩水，身上也会粘满细菌，对身体不好哦，要不我们先一起把小河里的垃圾捡起，等下再去买把水枪喷射好了，告诉正在扔垃圾的其他人不可以这样做好吗?“

虽然觉得妈妈的话很有道理，虽然玩水枪一样玩得很开心，但是心里觉得还是有点遗憾，我是多么想下去玩玩水，游游泳啊!

多么希望每个人都能够讲卫生，不往水里扔垃圾，多么希望明年的今天回到这里时可以看到清爽干净的水，可以不再只是玩水枪，而是可以下水玩个够啊!

As time goes by, man is making the earth sick. People cut down too many trees and leave rubbish everywhere. Factories let out their waste without doing anything to it . This has caused some serious problems. Such as the land is sandy, the river is dirty, the air is less clean, even the temperature of the earth is rising. What should we do to save the earth ? My suggestion is that we should plant more trees, put rubbish into dusbins and stop factories (from)pouring waste directly into the air or rivers. In all, we have only one earth, we should do our best to protect it, or we will regret.

真开心啊，马上又能和树爷爷谈心了！这时的小雨洒在我身上，就像一只温暖的手，轻轻地抚摸着我；又像根根柔软的丝带，柔柔地拂过我的脸颊。我从此心底感到惬意！

不知怎么的，毛毛细雨变成了倾盆大雨，大颗大颗的雨滴落在我脸上生疼生疼的。老天爷也在为我的树爷爷伤心了，生气了，它在为树爷爷鸣不平！

这时的雨打在我身上，心上。它每打我一下，我的心便痛一下！那种痛比父母责骂还要痛！

During those days. I enjoyed myself. At first, I went to the zoo to see lovely animals. And then. I went to the sea world to see beautiful fishes. That was very interesting.

Secondly I went for a trip with my parents, we went to Linxia to visit my grandparents and to eat minority’s foods. We rode horse on the grassland and had a fun with local children. It was very exciting. After that, I held a party and invited some of my best friends to visit my house.

My mother bought a lot of tasty foods for us, we also took many photos on the party. We played very happy. I also watched lots of carton films at home, they were wonderful.

我的家乡是在海西一个山城的乡村——黄坑。我家后门是一座果山。山上有梨树、杨梅树、枇杷树，还有萘、桔子树等，五花八门，品种多样。春天，果树开 花了，雪白的梨花，竟相盛开在山头，远远望去，犹如花的海洋。果子熟了，我和表姐妹穿梭在果山上，边摘，边吃，边观赏诱人的果实，陶醉在水果的香甜之中。

听妈妈讲，几年前，这里是一座又硬又贫瘠的猪肝石荒山，山上只有几棵又矮又小的松树。一天，年近花甲的舅公突然对这座荒山有了兴趣，说要让它变成果 园!舅公是个倔强的人，是个不随便说话的人。他既然说了就会努力去做。事实也是这样，他用铁镐，花了好几个月的时间，在山上挖好了一个个一米见方的坑。为 了增加土地的肥力，舅公还养了几头牛，在山上养起了鸡和鸭，它们可帮了舅公的大忙，垫牛栏的稻草、鸡鸭的粪便是最好的有机肥料，舅公给每个坑增加了不少这 样的“补药”，让果树能茁壮成长。

几年后，这些果树都成了林，结出了累累硕果。在舅公的影响下，村里的好些人家也种起了果树，才有文章开头的情景。

舅公的故事很是让我感动，他让我明白了要保护水土，首先要保护好树木。因为树木能保持水土，净化空气。只有树木多了，空气才会更清新，大自然才会更美丽。只要我们大力植树造林，水土就不会流失。

我们海西的小朋友，让我们行动起来吧，从小树立环保意识，节约用水，保护水土流失，像我的舅公一样，爱我海西，护我水土，植树造林，呵护自然，留给人类一个美丽的生存空间!把海西的水土建设更加美丽、更加富强，成为世界一流的好海西。

当看见伐木工人举着锋利的斧头砍向大树时，当看见地球上的枯黄在一天天扩大，绿色在一天天减少时，难道我们不曾心动么？难道我们就袖手旁观、无动于衷吗？

看到了一幅漫画，使我心潮腾涌，久久不能平静。漫画的主要内容是这样的：一个有着榆木脑袋的的伐木工人在无情地砍伐树木，一个森林卫士——啄木鸟出现了，它看见这个人在毁坏它们的家园，它看到这个人脑袋里的贪婪虫、欲望虫、金钱虫、利益虫……它不停地琢着那个人的脑袋，“这段木头里一定有虫……”它一直啄着，直到那个人离开。

看完这幅漫画，在哈哈大笑的同时，我进一步思考到，这不就是在讥讽我们身边那些只顾个人利益，不珍惜资源，不保护环境的那些人吗？

地球上的各种资源都是十分有限的，森林资源更是可贵。据统计，在全世界以木材为燃料的人口中，我国农民竟占了一半左右！由于人们森林资源保护意识薄弱，在疯狂砍伐的斧头下，大片大片的森林化为乌有，将近百分之十三的土地面临沙漠化，没有的树木的保护，沙尘暴、狂风等与生命作对的“怪物”纷至沓来……面对这一切触目惊心的事实，我们身为地球上的人类，难道就为了一己之私，使情况越来越严重，最后将人类吞噬，将地球吞噬。

我们都不希望这种灾难发生。而有些破坏地球资源的人会说：“不就是用点儿资源吗，怕什么，地球上的资源多得很呢。再说，只要我有了大量的金钱，可以乘坐飞船到其他星球上去。”这些人不仅在破坏树木，而且在破坏自己赖以生存的家园，他们不但不加以制止，反而肆意妄为。用一棵棵大树换来那一丁点儿的钱有什么用呢？“虫子”越来越多，希望越来越少……在地球资源枯竭的时候，人们千万不要怨天尤人，不要悲哀，不要落泪，你们应该哈哈大笑，因为这不就是你们滥砍滥伐的目的吗？

Everyone have their own favorite season. Someone loves the spring the most,

while other one loves winter.The one who like summer might for its hot weather

and they can enjoy the ice-cream, while the autumn fans might love the sky

floating leaves.For me, I love the four seasons equally, I cannot tell which one

i love the most, because all of them have the special reason that makes me

adored them.

Spring is a wonderful season to celebrate rebirth and new life. When it

comes to spring, everything looks so full of vigor. The grass out from the land,

the branches grow new leaves, and the colorful flowers show up everywhere, all

of this beautiful scenery makes people feel encouraged and reborn.

Summer is a magnificent season, which bring warm to us, letting us wave for

it and releasing the passion. Summer is an exuberant season that always makes

people have stirrings to do something. Also, thinks to summer that makes

swimming and surfing much funnier and the ice-cream taste more delicious.

Autumn, fruit is fragrance and fruit. Autumn is the season of harvest, fall

chrysanthemums spit release each other, and a thriving scene. Autumn is the only

season that we could see the leaves flying in the sky. And it is especially

important for Chinese; one of a day of autumn which called mid-autumn festival

brings family together and enjoys happy family reunion.

Winter is a season makes people feel sad and cold, but a warm, toasty house

may feel great in the winter, that is the only charm that other season doesnt

we can make a snowman and have snow high in winter.

Every season has its own lovely charm, I love them all.

During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. i wake up 11 oclock am everyday, after a washing, i have a good lunch with my parents. next i play computer games till the time to have supper. after have dinner. i go on playing till 2 oclock am, and then go to sleep with tired. this is one dull day of my winter vacation.

But i havent bored all the time. sometimes i read the books, sometime i listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. and i also meat some of my good friends during the vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether. and i watched the spring festival party of the cctv in the last seconds of the 2004 year! i think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

The protection of the border is not a new problem for us, and our government has long proposed clear targets for governance. As every ordinary person in real life, although it is impossible to work directly in environmental protection, we can start from small things and start from me. Can you raise your hand when you see the tap in the bathroom? When the battery runs out, can you classify it instead of throwing it away? How about when shopping doesnt use ultra-thin plastic bags? ...... Small things are small, but they reflect how much environmental awareness we have.

现在，人们的口中都讨论着“低碳”、“环保”，可是又有多少人在行动呢?

我走在夏日的街上，感到异常炎热，不仅是阳光的灼热，更多的，是那滚滚的空调排放出的热气。听着那嗡嗡的空调运转声，感受着灼人的热气，我不禁摇了摇头。

据科学家分析，太阳黑子每11年会变得活跃，而地球上的气温便会升高。今年，是太阳黑子活跃的一年，天气会异常的炎热。可是，我认为，现在的极端炎热天气与人类过度使用空调密切相关。

在夏日，空调为人们带来凉爽，但同时，也使我们的环境发生变化——空调排风散热器产生的大量浊气——氟里昂会破坏大气臭氧层，更会导致周边环境的恶化。不仅如此，大气层遭破坏，阳光、紫外线更强烈地射到人们身上，会导致皮肤病。所以，欧洲委员会发布了一条新规定，呼吁进一步限制或控制含氟的使用。

其实，不仅仅是空调排放的浊气会破坏环境，汽车尾气等也会。不仅是大气污染，还有水质污染、固体废物污染、噪声污染、过度开发、利用资源这五大类环境问题，都是最主要最恶劣的问题。想到这儿，我疑惑了，难道这些灾难都是人类一手造成的吗?现在看来，不可质疑。

我扭头看看周围的环境，绿色越来越少，取而代之的，是一幢幢高楼大厦。昔日瓦蓝的天空不见了，变成了灰蒙蒙的一片。我还记得有一天，我来到花园散步。一个小男孩惊讶地望着在城市少有的，瓦蓝的天，感到非常不可思议。是啊，如今，环境、空气被污染后，老天爷总是板着脸儿，人们也都萎靡不振。对于这样的天空，人们只能够期待未来。

面对环境的一天天恶化，我感到痛心疾首。我想：作为祖国的栋梁，我们如果不认识到环保的重要性，那么我们的家园将毁在我们自己手上。

所以，我下定决心要环保，要保护我们的地球母亲!

我在课外时间去宣传、讲解环保知识;去教给社区老人垃圾分类;去餐厅提议少用一次性用品;去郊外种树……这些微不足道的事情，是我惟一能为环保所做的。

环保，是一种理念，更是一种责任，需要我们每一个人去承担。尽管这只是一些微乎其微的小事，但只要我们怀着一颗责任心去对待环保，我相信，未来的天一定是瓦蓝瓦蓝的，未来的水一定是清澈的，未来的气候，一定是四季如春。

December 25 is Christmas Day, the day is originates in the western country,

it is in honor of the birth of Jesus Christ. In the Bible, it is record that

Jesus saved people out of trouble, he is the son of god, he died of suffering

for the purpose of saving people. Jesus is so great, everyone in the western

country knows his story. Though Christmas Day belongs to foreign countries, now

it has become a worldwide festival. In China, we can find the day is more and

more popular, people find the Christmas tree sold in the shop and there are

parties to celebrate Christmas Day. On that day, families get together, having

dinner, eating turkey and sharing happiness. This is a good chance for people to

get reunion, this is the most important day for western people, just like

Chinese New Year.

保护环境，人人有责。这句话只要是地球人都知道。但是，有多少人遵守过呢？

如果不保护环境，地球的未来就是一片荒漠，洪水、泥石流、龙卷风等各种各样自然灾害会天天降临在我们身上，让我们不能睡个好觉。

有一天，我看到一本书上画着一幅画：一个人坐在树上，正砍着自己坐的那条树枝。也许，你会觉得好笑。但你知道这幅画表示什么吗？它表示那个人就是未来的你，说你以后就会像这个人一样笨成这样。

所以，我们以后要保护环境，见到垃圾就要拣起来，不要象瞎子一样走到一边去。走在公园里，不要为了快捷走草坪或走花坛，不要随地吐痰……

这些全是小事，但是只要日积月累，就能成功一大步。

保护环境，人人有责。从小事做起，让地球妈妈永远年轻。
