我有一本《少年百科全书》，它是爸爸送给我的生日礼物，我非常喜欢。

这本书封面很漂亮，白色的塑皮面上画着很多自然世界中的物体，有大象、袋鼠、昆虫、树叶、菊花、卫星、火箭；反面画着蛇、老鹰、汽车、飞机等等。

这本书的内容分为宇宙科学、地球科学、生物科学等，内容涉及到天文、地理、物理、化学各个领域。这本书具有儿童情趣，每一页都印着彩色的插图，画着漂亮的图画，让人很好理解，叫人想看，爱看。在看书的同时，读者不知不觉就能把知识给牢牢地记住了。这本书还帮了我不少忙呢！

有一回，我对邻居家的小朋友们说：“其实地球中的软体动物有五万多种呢。”他们谁也不相信，说我是“吹牛大王”。回家后，我在书柜里找这方面的资料，终于在《少年百科全书》这本书上找到了关于生物界的一篇。我拿去给小朋友们看，证实了我的说法，他们都夸我知识丰富。

还有一回，我在一本书上看到了“银晕”这个词，不知道是怎么回事，就打开《少年百科全书》寻找答案，在第13页就找到了这个答案。原来，银晕是银河系隆起的球状部分，有一层非常薄而高温的气体，大多数球状星团都分布其中。

《少年百科全书》丰富了我的知识，开阔了我的视野，帮助我更好地学习和生活，是我的“良师益友”。
