——my thoughts after reading Joan of Arc

Sunshine shines over the statue in Orleans. The ordinary but famous girl named Joan is riding on her horse, smiling and looking down at the land that she has loved and fought on. She is the heroine of France, the saint from heaven. Her influences shine over every person’s heart, and I am deeply impressed by her story.

When Louis XIII was the king, the British and the Burundians invaded France and wanted to have the northern part of France. Joan helped French people coronate their new king, Louis XIV, getting almost all the invaded land back with the help of three saints. But after that, she was caught by the Burundians and was burnt on a cross by her enemy. This is the famous story about Joan, the saint. From a village girl to a national heroine, she only used a few years. How could Joan of Arc do that? I wonder.

Someone says the saints have chosen her and the God has given her power. But actually the real virgin doesn’t exist, From the birth of Jesus Christ in the first century, people have controlled the Christianity. I think the religion has become a tool between people. This kind of opinion about the success of Joan must be wrong.

Someone said, Joan had this wonderful success because of her confidence and will. I quite agree with this opinion. So I think confidence and will are just like the foundation of success. All the success depends on them.

In the real world, confidence and will is always very important. During the XX Athens Olympic Games, Li Ting and Sun Tiantian have won the gold medal for the women’s double in the tennis game. It was the first time our anthem playing on the tennis court. Some medium says that they have won by chance. It was only a fairy tale. But I don’t think so. One day when Darcy and Bingley’s two sisters disgusted with the vulgarity of Mrs. Bennet and her two youngest daughters, effectively separated Bingley and Jane. Meanwhile, Collins, a cousin of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, married charlotte, a friend of Elizabeth’s, for Elizabeth’s refuse to marry him. But One day Darcy send Elizabeth a letter, in which he justifies the separation of his friend Bingley and Jane and make it clear that Wickham is. obviously, this cartoon can be naturally associated with the significance of children’s accompany for aged parents: if elderly people intend to enjoy happiness,it is advisable for their children to spend more time in parents. in contemporary society, it has become a trend for young people to be busy with their work and study. meanwhile, an increasing number of youngsters find it difficult to have spare time to accompany lonely parents. however, it is adult children’s accompany that enables aged parents to build up adequate hope, love and enthusiasm for life. as a matter of fact, young people in large numbers have not come to realize the loneliness of aged people.

在这个寒假里我看了《老人与海》。书中主要讲了老人在连续84天没捕到鱼的情况下，在第85天的时候发现了一条大马哈鱼，开始了长达3天3夜的追捕，最后大鱼被他杀死，而在归程中老人又遭到鲨鱼的袭击，最后回港时老人只剩鱼头鱼尾和一条脊骨……

这本书给我最大的启示就是不要害怕失败和困难。

在书中，老人是多么坚强，不害怕失败，不害怕困难，因此厄运并没有把老人打倒，老人却把命运踩在了脚下，成为了生活中的强者。

在电影里，我也看到过类似的场景。在《一条狗的使命》中。小狗贝利为了找回自己的主人伊森，历经了一次一次的失败和困难重生了四次，最后终于找到伊森。小狗贝利的这种精神不是与老人一样么？

在现实生活中，碰到困难是难免的，可我们要正视困难，用坚持不懈的精神去打败它，如果失败了，就要从失败中吸取教训……再想想自己，每当碰到一点点困难就想退缩，想放弃。当我每次考试没考好时，我就会不敢正视，于是对下次考试也失去了信心，从而一次又一次的失落。仿佛进入了一个恶性循环。但读了《老人与海》后，我知道了人生没有不失败的，每个人都会历经失败，而我们要做的是在失败过后重新站起来，勇敢的去面对，去寻找失败的原因，总结经验，并战胜它。

我第一次知道老人与海这个故事是我在初中时，历史老师课上给我们看的，但是那次是通过电脑下载电影来看的。电影中我看到了一位不服输不放弃不相信命运的老渔夫。

故事中主要是在围绕着老人，大马哈鱼以及大海中潜在的一系列危险。我看的这部电影是由《老人与海》这本书中的故事情节拍摄的，而这本书的作者，海鸣威，他以其独特的写作手法和写作思维，给读者展现的并不是传统结局(老人胜利而归)，而是老人空手而归，这种结局给读者更加大的思考，这样，读者就会更加会注意到主人公的过程而不是结果。我想海鸣威他这样写的目的也就在于此。

老人与海的真正协作目的不是为了告诉我们读者这样一个故事，而是告诉我们有这样一种精神是值得我们每一人去学习的：锲而不舍，努力拼搏，不畏风险，改变命运。

我是在保送(2)班班主任的提示下，才到网上寻找这本书来读的，这几天读了之后，在文字和人物精神上有了更多的认识，我不说是重新的认识，因为电影已经通过强悍的视觉，听觉两大方面为我们生动形象地展现了故事的大概面貌，这很大程度上满足了读者时间上的允许范围，但是由于电影并不是原汁原味的，而是被导演先咀嚼过，再送到我们嘴边的精神食粮，不是吗?读书比看电影更能真实地完整地接近作者的内心世界。作者的内心世界即使细微，哪怕藏匿得很好，也会在其笔尖在不经意间流露在文字深处，也许这就是文学创作的真正魅力。

我从《老人与海》这本书中看到的是作者更多的对老人的心理活动和语言表情的细微描写。这是我从看点验的过程中难以捕捉到的，因为电影放映的时间短暂，而对于书，如果你拥有它并渴望拥有它，那么它就会成为你忠诚的奴仆，他会等待这你去读它，它可以等你一天，一月，一年，知道你死或直到你不需要它，书它会等待你任何时候读它的任何部分，不是吗?

我再联系起了我不久前在胜利剧院观看的北京大学曹文轩教授的讲座，我想起了他所说到的文章的魂，想到了他所说到的文学的未来发展趋势，我突然想到了一本书的存在意义，书的存在实不过为了表达作者的某些观点，想法，心情，或记录某些相对重要的内容，或其他。但是书终将成为人们要看的载体，如果书对人是无用的不如不要书。
