In order to support Beijing to hold the 2008 Olympic Games and protect our environment,an activity was organized by the Young League and Students Union of our school during the week from June 3rd to June 8th.

All the students in the senior grades took active part in it.Some students cleaned the playground,watered the young trees and flowers,and removed weeds.Some students collected waste paper,old books,empty cans and old toys.They had them sorted and sent them to the recycling center.

I am Mary .My father is a teacher,and my mother is a teacher ,too. They think teacher is a good job. But they hope I can be a great scientist. I want to be a scientist. Dumpling is a traditional Chinese food.On the lunar New Year s Day,most

families make a lot of delicious dumplings.To make them,follow this easy

process.

The first step is to mix the flour with water.When the dough is ready,we

can begin to make dumpling wrappers.We use a rolling pole to roll the dough into

small,thin and round pieces so that they will be easy to cook.When the wrappers

are done,it s time to prepare the filling.Usually,we use meat such as beef or

mutton,and some vegetables such as cabbage or carrots for filling.You may

actually choose whatever you like to put into it.We must chop those things into

small pieces.Then put some salt,oil and other condiments into it and stir it

evenly.When all these preparations are done,we can start making dumplings.First

put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper.Then stick the two

opposite sides together and then the rest.Don t just cover the filling with the

wrappers.The best shape of dumplings is that of a ship,because when they are

boiling in the pan,they look like ships sailing in the sea.The smell can make

your mouth water.

Since I was very small, I watched a lot of sports with my father. My father

is a huge fan of basketball match. When he has time, he will sit in the sofa and

watch NBA. So I enjoy the time to watch the match with him. I also become a

sport fan, but my passion on sports is much stronger. I am interested in

watching all kinds of sports, besides basketball, tennis, volleyball and other

sports are favored by me. Though I am a girl, I play many sports in the school.

it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial production and increased consumption of goods. Everyone can do something for our environment. For me, I should try to save electricity in my daily life. For example, if I am the last person leave the classroom in the evening, I will always remember to turn off the lights. In order to protect our forests, I will use paper wisely. I should try to use both sides of paper whenever it is possible. I will not use things like paper cups and disposable chopsticks because they are made of wood. As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our

life. I don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have a

summer always comes earlier than north. It has been hot for about half a month.

outside. Swimming is the most favorite activity in my city. The pools are always

full filled with people. Parents often take their children to swimming pool at
