我永远忘不了那一个美丽的秋天，当叶子像蝴蝶落下的时候，母亲走进了校园。

她是第一次到学校来看我，提着一个小布包。

环境影响人的成才，这是不争的事实。顺境为人才提供了良好的条件，假如陶醉其中，不求进取就会使顺境虚度、一无所成;逆境给人以艰难困苦，但如果变压力为动力，勇敢地同困难斗争，就能做出常人做不出来的奇迹。因此，顺境中要头脑清醒、善假于物，抓住有利时机，尽快成才;逆境里也不要悲观消沉，要敢于接受困难的挑战，化不利为有利，坚定地向理想的国度进军，艰难困苦、玉己于成。

总之，环境影响人的成长，这就是成才的规律。

How to Spend Sundays

Though Sunday is set aside as a day for rest, we ought to devise some .good ways of spending it.

Firstly, we should review what we have learned during the past week. One will get something new in looking over ones old studies Is a very wise saying. If we do not fully understand what we have been taught in the week, how can we expect to understand next weeks lessons?

Secondly, to increase our knowledge, we should read on Sundays, those books,newspaper and magazines that are not in our regular curriculum. That will do us good.

这几年随着新农村的建设，原来那条泥泞的土路变成了平坦的水泥路。走上去舒服极了，远远看去水泥路就像一条飘动的丝带，蜿蜒着伸向远方。路两旁是成片的稻田，微风吹过，稻子像在向远方的客人点头致意。路上的行人也多了起来，到了傍晚小朋友们和他们的爸爸妈妈陆陆续续来到路上，他们一边散步，一边聊天，开心极了。

荀子的《劝学》就说过:“骐骥一跃，不能十步;驽马十驾，功在不舍。锲而舍之，朽木不折;锲而不舍，金石可镂。”成功在于坚持不懈。再好的马跳一次，总归还是不及驽马的十步之遥;即使是一段朽木，“锲而舍之”，终难折断，更何况要使之成器:金石之可镂，权在于不舍的精神，不懈的毅力。短短的几句话，就道出了坚持才能胜利成功的奥妙。

曾经年少时，读书识字三心二意，凡事“浅尝辄止”:想要学剑，又不肯花时间去练剑:欲熟兵法，亦是故态复萌，有始无终。所有事情，没有一件是能够坚持到底的。这种习性一直跟随他直到败送自己的霸王社稷。楚汉战争败北，项羽更是心情浮躁，既无恒心又无毅力，更遑论“收拾旧山河”的决心和霸气。倘若他有这坚持不懈的品格在，年少时的他还会对所有事情“知其皮毛即可”吗?年长后的他还会丢失江山社稷吗?反观齐白石老先生，一个生命不息笔不辍的画家。在其七十余年的画画生涯中，几乎天天都作画。27岁之后，只有四次搁过笔:两次是害病，两次是父母去世。这种勤奋是坚持不懈的。1957年，他逝世这一年的春夏之际，精神和体力已经不允许他再继续作画了。在这样的情况下，他仍然顽强地绘出了一幅花中之王——牡丹，完成了自己的绝笔之作。齐老先生对艺术孜孜不倦的追求，才成就了他在当今画坛的盛名。

"文化大革命"时期，红卫兵整天抓"反动"分子，他们正是年少气盛，为自己的梦想和大家的理想主义社会而奋斗。这并非坏事，但往往做事情感情用事，做出错误的事情来。许多战争时代做出贡献的人物和诸多文化界知名人士大多被时代逆流所吞噬。这也并不能全怪红卫兵，因为他们毕竟年轻，认识不深，对许多被他们打倒的人缺少认识，可是他们应该对自己的父母亲人认识很深吧。有谁想到，将父母名字写在要打倒、清理分子的名单中的人，恰恰是他们的子女。父母是那么悲哀啊，怎么也不会想到，甚至做梦也不会想到竟然是自己的骨肉断送了自己。亲情在这时是那么贬值啊！

为什么人们常会甩感情来判断事情的对与错呢？

也许，是受到中国自古就有的一些传统的影响吧;也许，有许多人还末认识到感情忠诚与准确背后也会有背叛吧;也许，有人在成长过程中受到了外界的刺激或熏陶而养成的。

感情是一个人与生俱来的，有的人在生长的外界环境影响下，会形成一种天生的判断能力，这种能力常是正确的。但这毕竟是少数人。绝大多数人他们也常感情用事，但是其结果常是错误的，甚至错的一塌糊涂，一败涂地。正如前文中父亲、母亲对子女的信任，却换来子女对父母仇视与背叛。

我们可以清楚地认识到，用感情去判断事物和用理智去判断事物是完全不同的。就算是亲情间，遇到一些事情时，首先要理智点，先考虑一下，以免出错。

我相信，我们的世界是美好的，但也会有污泥，只要我们能正确运用智慧去考虑，去判断，要相信"路遥知马力，日久见人心"，什么事情、人、物只要时间一长，就会原形毕露的。

Seeing my whole education history, I have many teachers. But my favorite teacher is only one. He is Mr Lu. He is my middle Chinese teacher and head teacher. He is about fifty years old. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals

celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known

as Duanwu Festival. It’s said that it is to commemorate the death of a Chinese

patriotic poet, Qu Yuan, who was snared by corrupt officials in ancient China

and finally committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River to protest

against them.

The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to

place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great

tradition is holding Dragon Boat races, which are held by fishermen’s attempt to

protect Qu Yuan’s body against attacking by fishes and other animals in the

river by beating drums and row the dragon shaped boat. Nowadays dragon boat

races have been an annual popular sport activity among people. In addition,

making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo

or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many

kinds of stuffing. What’s more, hanging herbs on the front door, drinking

realgar wine and pasting up picture of Zhongkui—a mythic guardian figure in

ancient china—are also popular during the festival, which are mean to protect

people from evil and disease.

These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years,

but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese

culture.
