Besides, she has a pretty name, Flor Alba Rocha Vorgas. Flor is the short form of flower in her native language, and Alba means sunrise while Rocha Vorgas is a combination of her father’s and mother’s family name. Meanwhile, Flor speaks Spanish as her native language and she is capable of speaking French and English as well. Coming from Bogota, the capital of Colombia, she regards Monserrate, located on the peak of a small mountain, as her favorite part about her home city. According to what she describes, the mountain where Monserrate is situated lies on the east of Bogota, and it takes you approximately an hour to climb from the foot to the top while just around fifteen minutes to get there by cableway. Moreover, there is no denying the fact that you are bond to fulfill your eyesight with the amazing overlook of the whole city as long as you stand there.

When it comes to her own experience, she takes pride in graduating from one of the best law schools in Colombia. I am sure that Flor has been an assiduous and sagacious student in her school, because she is so outstanding that starts to work as a lawyer just three months after graduation, doing some research for the government on the Internet. Currently, she is studying English in New York, renting house from a Colombian family in East Elmhurst with her roommate. With the aim of managing the Master Degree in US after accomplishing learning language, she also has a great number of further plans for the future, such as returning to Colombia and teaching in a law school. Ridiculously, however, becoming a pianist and a ballet dancer was once her childhood ambition, but it never comes true.

Furthermore, Flor possesses a large variety of interests, among which watching movies may be the most attractive event to her. With an affinity for films like dramas, documental ones and European ones, she even sets a record of seeing a movie every other day! As far as she is concerned, her grandmother is the hero in her heart due to her strong mind. What’s more, the fondest memory in her perspective is the happy life with her grandmother. All of a sudden, it occurs to me that when I was a little child, my grandmother always did her utmost to encourage me and exalted my every single merit. Today is my birthday and Im so excited about it. In the morning I put a note on the table for my mum and it said, "Today is my birthday, dont forget it!" At school, I got many gifts and cards from my classmates and had a lot of fun. But I was still expecting the birthday party after school.

When it was time to leave school I couldnt wait to go home. When I open the door, there wasnt anybody in the house. There was only a note that said, "Coming home late tonight,mum and dad. "I try to call them but there was no answer.I was so shocked,do they forget my birthday?How could this be! I was so sad that I couldnt eat anything. I just did my homework and waited for them.

And then,things changed completely. It was about time for dinner, my mother called and told me to go to the restanrant near our house. When I got there I couldnt believed my eyes. Everybody was there:my parents,my relatives, my friends and even my classmates. There was so many gifts and a big cake. What a surprising birthday party! We had a good time and it was the best birthday party ever.

今天是我的生日，我很兴奋。早上我把一张纸条放在桌子上对我的妈妈说，“今天是我的生日，别忘了它！”在学校里，我从我的同学那得到了许多礼物和卡片,我很开心。但我仍然期待放学后的生日晚会。

当放学的时候，我迫不及待的想回家。当我打开门的时候，没有人在房子里。只有一张纸条，说，“今晚会晚回家，妈妈和爸爸。”我试着打电话给他们，但没有人回答。我很震惊，他们忘了我的生日？怎么会是这样！我伤心的我不能吃下任何东西。我只是做了我的家庭作业，等他们。

然后，事情发生了变化。这是吃晚饭的时间了，我的母亲打电话告诉我去我家附近的餐馆。当我到那里的时候，我不能相信我的眼睛。大家都在那儿：我的父母，我的亲人，我的朋友和我的同学。有那么多的礼物和大蛋糕。多么令人惊喜的生日派对！我们都很开心，这是最好的生日晚会。

Finally, we arrived in Guilin. After breakfast, we went to River Li. We

listened to the guide and enjoyed the views on boat. But I found the water in

River Li is dirty, many people washed clothes there. I feel angry and the trip

became boring and exhausting.

今天终于到了桂林，我们吃过早饭后就出发去漓江。坐上了船后，我们听着导游的讲解，观赏着风景。可是我发现漓江的水很脏，有很多人在那里洗衣服。我很气愤。在接下来的旅途中很无聊我也很疲惫。

Lantern Festival is our traditional festival, the Lantern Festival every

year to eat dumplings, fireworks.

Mom cooked dumplings, I cant wait to pick up the one in your mouth, mom

shout; "Be careful, dont burn yourself. Bite on the filling flow out slowly,

I hurriedly took my tiger lamp join make lanterns, after my father and I go to

fireworks.

Fireworks can be interesting. So many kinds of fireworks! Some on the left

of the gun... People are respect, suddenly, a naughty kid threw jilt cannons,

people scared hiding; I followed papa fired cannons sky it spray flame, 1 of

"pa" exploded and emits the colorful flowers.

The Lantern Festival is really interesting!

元宵节是我国的传统节日，每年元宵节要吃汤圆，放烟花。

妈妈煮好汤圆了，我迫不及待的夹起一个放在嘴里，妈妈大叫;“小心点，别烫着。”咬上一口馅慢慢地流了出来，粘粘的。甜甜的味道好极了!

元宵节可少不了观花灯。吃完元宵，我和爸爸来到阳头广场。这里的花灯可真多啊!有“奔跑”的老虎。“吃草”的兔子。还有在“游动”的鱼儿。真是五花八门!都成了灯的海洋。光的世界!爸爸给我买了一个兔子花灯。只要一按按纽。兔儿便会唱起欢乐的歌。我连忙拿起我的老虎灯加入闹花灯的行列，之后我和爸爸去放烟花。

放烟花可有趣了。烟花的种类真多!有的还有的在放甩炮……人们正看得起劲，忽然，一个淘气的小朋友扔甩炮，人们吓得四处躲藏;我跟着爸爸放礼炮它喷着火焰天空冲去，“啪”的一声爆炸了，放出五彩的鲜花。

元宵节真有趣!

My new years resolution is very easy, only three piece of advice. At first, I want to get good grade. Next,I have studied hard as my math is not good,so I have practiced everyday. Further, I want to take my dance lesson .Because I really love dance. I have already studied five dances since 2011. I just have been a bus spotter. I have not yet ever liked bus like now. I will spend some money for bus model. These are my new year’s resolution, I hope it,really need to work hard,I think I can be successful. I will never give up.

我的新年愿望很简单，只有三个建议。首先，我想获得好成绩。接下来，我努力学习因为我的数学不好，所以我每天都做练习。此外，我希望参加舞蹈课。因为我真的很喜欢跳舞。从2011年起我已经学了5年舞蹈了。我刚刚成为了一个公共汽车检举员。我还从来没有像现在一样喜欢公交车。我会花一些钱买一些公交车模型。这些都是我新的一年的新年愿望，我希望，我可以真正去努力，我想我能成功。我永远不会放弃。

I went to see a film in the cinema this evening. It was called Kong Fu

Panda. I love this film. It is funny but I also learned something from the film.

We should not give up things easily. We should have a good plan and make up our

mind to make our dream come true.

今天晚上我去电影院看了电影。影片教《工夫熊猫》。我爱好这部电影。很有趣可我也学到了一些东西。我们不应该轻易废弃。我们应该做个好规划，下定决心，实现梦想。

母亲，是世界上最伟大、最崇高的人了。

我从呱呱坠地开始，便沐浴在母爱的阳光中。为了把我抚养好，一个母亲能做到的她都做到了。给我印象最深，使我倍加感激的是母亲那和蔼、真挚的微笑。我有了提高，她微笑着表扬我;我有了过失，她微笑着批评我;我骄傲自满时，她微笑着给我泼点凉水;我颓废失意时，她微笑着给我添点动力……我是在母亲微笑的甘露浇灌下茁壮成长起来的一株小树，我是在母亲微笑的春风拂煦下绽开的一朵小花。

我一天天地在长大，但不明白为什么，母亲那亲切的笑容已不再多见，取而代之地常常是严厉的面孔。每一天陪伴我的仅有书桌、台灯和数不清的习题。“难道母亲不爱我了吗?”我一次一次地冒出这个念头，又一次次地将之否认。想起小时候，母亲教我写字，背诗，寒冬里给我洗衣服，在酷暑为我整理房间……我九岁那年的一天，半夜一点钟，外面是瓢泼大雨、电闪雷鸣。我突然发起了高烧，爸爸不在家，母亲看着我，又望望窗外，仔细给我披上雨衣，毅然背起我向医院跑去。我伏在母亲背上，清晰地听到了母亲急促的喘息声。我的心快要碎了，我说：“妈妈，我下来自我走吧!”母亲毅然答道：“那怎样行呢?你发着高烧，怎样能在雨里走?把雨衣披严，千万别淋着了。”我的眼睛不禁湿润了。雨大路滑，母亲一歪，险些摔倒，站稳后，她急切地问我：“没事吧?”我说：“没事!”母亲长舒了口气，如释重负地说：“那就好，那就好。”就这样，母亲深一脚、浅一脚地把我背到了医院。

当一次次考试卷发到手中时，一种莫名其妙的感觉总会从心底涌到胸口。我的鼻子酸酸的，但我忍住了，我怕同学们看到。试卷上鲜红的分数告诉了我一切。当母亲看到试卷时，久违的微笑又写在脸上，她微笑着对我说：“跌倒了，自我爬起来。”这句话伴着我走过十几个春秋，它给我力量，促我提高，我由衷地感激母亲。

在阳光下，我仿佛看到母亲背后升起了一个绚丽的光环，那是古代传说中仅有仙人才有的光环，这便是最圣洁、不容亵渎的母性之光!对这光，唯有仰望!
