Melanie was in poor health, but she still went to help Scarlett to do farm work. She believed Scalett and gave her unselfish love. During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. My name is Yin Zhaoyi. Im nine years old. Im from Hengyang, Hunan. I love writing and reading.

I was a lively and cheerful girl, face, round eyes, long eyebrows, high nose, black hair, big mouth, short stature, long limbs.

Today is Sunday. I asked my mother if I could go to the library to read books. My mother said yes, I went straight to the library happily, and there were very few people in the library. A wonderful day

Today is a wonderful day! In the morning, it is very fine! Then I climb the

我是喜欢书中的毛小弟毛老师，一个幽默风趣的“小老师”。他经常和同学们打成一片，显得很“幼稚”，但在我看来，毛老师是个非常有智慧，能和孩子们打成一片是因为他想更加深入地了解这群天真烂漫的孩子的内心世界，从而能在他们遇到困难的时候更好地帮助他们。

A busy day

Today is saturday,and it is also a busy day.In the morning,I got up at

eight oclock,then I ate breakfast.After breakfast,I cleaned my room,it was

dirty but it is clean now.In the afternoon,I played badminton with my

neighbours.In the evening,I helped my mother cooked dinner.After I ate dinner,I

washed dishes.After finishing my homework,I watched TV.

I have read the book called Readaholic recently. I can know a lot through reading. I can learn some foreign culture and habitude . It is really interesting. Most of my classlates are interested in it.

The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on

the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This

festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and

statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a

river.

The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It

symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period， these

races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork.

Besides， the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous

rice). Zongzi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and

wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong

zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.

With the changes of the times， the memorial turns to be a time for

protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy

herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the

significance of the festival might be different with the past， it still gives

the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural

heritage.

my daily life

Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to

it. Why? Because I intend to be a good student. I wish to render service to my

country. I get up at six o’clock every day. after I wash my face and brush my

teeth, I begin to review my lessons. I go to school at seven o’clock. after

school is over, I return home. we usually have supper at seven o’clock.then I

begin to do my homework. I want to finish it before i go to bed.
