The inspiration for Anna Sewell’s novel was drawn from her own relationship with horses. Anna Sewell was born on March 20th, 1820 in Norfolk, England and was crippled while still very young. Unfortunately, Sewell died a few months after publication and never learned of the book’s huge success. Black Beauty formed an impassioned plea for animal rights at a time when such a notion had been dismissed as ridiculous.

The novel portrayed the real condition of working horses living in Britain during the Victorian Era. In that time period, the wealthy thought that their horses were treated well because they never stepped into the stable. In order to call people’s attention to horses’ hard life, Sewell tells the story through the first-person narrative voice of a horse. This innovative personification of an animal made the book a real success. Readers heard the stories straight from the horse’s mouth, literally, as an animal spoke of extremes of joy and suffering. People were shocked by the truth exposed by the novel and changed their attitudes towards animals.

Sewell formed the novel with three kinds of characters: Black Beauty, Ginger and other farm animals. Through their different experiences, I saw similarly painful lives led by the animals. This method made the earnest appeal for animal rights become more and more persuasive.

As a domestic animal, Black Beauty was continuously sold from one family to another. Over the years Beauty enjoyed good masters but also endured mean ones. 接着汉钟离把他的芭蕉扇丢到海上，跳下去站在上面。

接着，其他几位仙人也各显神通，张果老倒骑着毛驴，吕洞宾踏着雌雄宝剑，韩湘子坐着萧，何仙姑乘着花篮，蓝采和站在拍板上，曹国舅踩着玉版，都在海面上漂浮了起来。

八仙安稳地顺着汹涌的波浪漂去，这与腾云驾雾感觉大不相同，别有一番新的刺激和情调，大家玩得好不快意。

这时，曹国舅突然用手指向右边，并高声喊道：

“大家看啊！那里有座海市蜃楼！”

大家转头一看，只见一座仙山渐渐地从海里升起，山上有树木，有楼房，一会儿就升到半空中，慢慢地变成天边的浮云，一转眼，那浮云又被风吹散了。

韩湘子说：“我们真是眼福不浅！蜃气是海里蛟龙嘘出来的气体 ，百年难得一见啊！”

突然 ，蓝采和从他们当中消失了。大家远近观望，一边找一边喊，可就是不见蓝采和的踪迹，张果老猜说：

“可能是东海龙王作怪，他不欢迎我们在他的海上大显神通，把蓝采和抓到龙宫去了，走 我们一起到龙宫要人去！”

大家来到龙宫，婉言请求龙王放人。龙王蛮不讲理，不但不肯，还派自己的几个儿子带领虾兵蟹将追杀八仙。八仙只得用随身的法宝当武器，抵抗虾兵蟹将，经过一场激烈的战斗之后，龙王的两个太子被八仙杀死了。

龙王一听，自己的两个儿子被八仙杀了，真是悲愤至极，商请南海、西海、北海龙王来帮忙。龙王的不依不饶，把八仙也给惹火了。铁拐李用酒葫芦把海水吸光，其余几位仙人将泰山搬了过来，往东海一扔，东海立刻变成了一座高 。

双方打得天昏地暗，日月无光，把太上老君、如来佛和观世音也惊动了，他们全都赶来调解。调解的结果是，由蓝采和送东海龙王两片玉版，作为杀两位太子的补偿泰山则由观世音负责搬回原处。

因为这一场纠纷，八仙被玉皇大帝降级一等。从此，八仙再也不敢到外面惹是生非了。

Everybody has a daily schedule. We do the same things almost every day. My

day is probaly like yours.

Heres my daily routine. I get up at 6:30 every morning. I take my time

waking up,but then I wash up quickly. I brush my teeth,comb my hair and put on

school uniform. I pack my bag for school and I leave. I never miss breakfast,so

school,I go to a cram school like all my friends. I study and finish my homework

for the day. Finally,I go home and I take a break. I have dinner with my

我平时很喜欢读课外书。今天我读了俄国文学家普希金的《渔夫和金鱼的故事》，深受教育。

从前在海边有一座茅草屋，里面住着一对夫妇，以打鱼为生。一天渔夫捕获了一只美丽的金鱼，愿意答应渔夫的一切条件，善良的渔夫什么也不要，就把金鱼放走了。但渔夫的妻子得知后，向金鱼提出了一个又一个的条件，并且越来越过分，最后金鱼在一怒之下，收回了之前送给他们的一切，他们家又恢复了以前的贫穷。

我认为如果老太婆知道见好就收，也不至于让之前的荣华富贵都消失殆尽，到头来一无所有。这个故事与我之前看的那篇《米斯达国王金手指》故事差不多，米斯达国王因为非常爱金子，他不甘心眼前仅有的财富，他向神仙许愿，要金手指，他的手点到什么，什么就变成金子。神仙实现了他的愿望，他拥抱女儿的时候，女儿变成了金像；拿面包，面包变成了金子；洗脸、喝水的时候，水也变成了金子……他无法生活，最后他又恳求神仙收回魔法。

人不能贪心，要知道金钱不是万能的，往往天使变成魔鬼，只有一念之差，当你用亲情，友情，爱情去换取金钱的时候，就完完全全地成了魔鬼。其实，善良、知足、勤奋、诚实等可贵的品质，才是一笔真正的财富！
