中国文化博大精深，民间着钻多的传统节日，它们就像天上的星星一样，明亮耀人;又像小河一般，纵横交错。而我却认为最"美"的节日莫过于端午节!传说，端午节是这样由成的。屈原，是春秋时期楚王的大臣。他倡导举贤授能，富国强兵，力主联齐抗秦，遭到贵族子兰等人的强烈反对，屈原遭馋去职，被赶出都城，流放到沅、湘流域。他在流放中，先下了忧国忧民的《离骚》、《天问》、《九歌》等不朽诗篇，独具风貌，影响深远(因此，端午节又名诗人节)。公园前278年，秦军攻破楚国京都。屈原眼看自己的祖国被侵略，心如刀割，但是始终不忍舍弃自己的祖国，于5月5日，在写下了绝笔作《怀沙》之后，抱石投汩罗江身死，以自己的生命谱写了一曲壮丽的爱国主义乐章。后来，楚国百姓为了纪念爱国诗人屈原，把5月5日定做了端午节。赛龙舟，是端午节的主要习俗之一。楚国人因不舍得屈原离去，许多人划船追赶拯救。他们争先恐后，追至洞庭湖时便不见踪迹。之后的每月五月初五划龙舟以纪念屈原。借划龙舟驱散江中之鱼，以免鱼吃掉屈原的身体。竞渡之习，盛于吴、越、楚。端午节吃粽子，也是必不可少的习俗。棕子，又名"角黍"，"筒粽"。其由未己久、花样繁多。早在春秋时代，用菰叶(茭白叶)包黍成牛角状，称"角黍";用竹筒装米密封烤熟，称"筒棕"。东汉末年以草木灰水浸泡黍，因水中含碱，用菰叶包黍米成四角形，煮熟，成而广东碱水粽。

corruption of the Chu government.People sat on dragon boats,and tried to scare

the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums.Hence,toady we sail the dragon

boats to celebrate this festival.Also,people eat zongzi (the food originally

intended to feed the fishes) in memory of Qus dramatic death.

五月五端午节，是我国具有特色的节日。这一天，家家户户都会在门口插艾草，包粽子吃，还有人会涂雄黄酒、挂香囊。

早上，妈妈早早起床准备包粽子，爸爸在门口插上艾草，据说艾草是可以辟邪的。我并不会包粽子，对包粽子充满了好奇，走进厨房看妈妈是怎样包粽子的。只见，妈妈把洗好的糯米装进一个盆子里，再把准备好的肉、蛋黄、花生放进碗里。一切准备就绪，包粽子开始了。妈妈娴熟地抽出两张粽叶，把两张粽叶重叠在一起，折成一个角，先放糯米，再放馅儿，再放一层糯米填满，用绳子绕着粽叶的角缠绕，最后把绳子系紧。一个粽子就这样包好了。

慢慢地桌上就摆满了粽子。妈妈把粽子放进锅里煮熟，再拿出来凉一会儿。妈妈大声高喊：“快出来，吃粽子。”我向厨房冲去，拿起一个还冒着热气的粽子，撕开粽叶，一阵香气扑鼻而来。我大咬一口又黏又糯，好吃极了!弟弟问：“妈妈，端午节为什么要吃粽子?”我抢着说：“吃粽子是为了纪念爱国诗人屈原。”妈妈微笑着点点头，弟弟也似懂非懂的。

下午，爸爸要去八都参加赛龙舟，我和弟弟吵着要去看。爸爸只好答应。在路上，我听妈妈说，八都是文化之乡，每年都有举行赛龙舟。弟弟又问：“为什么要赛龙舟?”知识丰富的我便脱口而出：“因为屈原被奸臣所害，被放流浪，在流浪期间听到楚国灭亡的消息，怀着悲愤的心情投入汨罗江，当地民众争先恐后的划船去救屈原，后来慢慢演变成赛龙舟。”

等我们到时，中央广场四周已经是人山人海了，水面上漂浮着一艘艘威武、漂亮的龙舟，好像就要腾飞的巨龙。台上的舞蹈表演一结束，激烈的赛龙舟马上开始了。随着一阵雷鸣般的鼓声，五艘龙舟就像离弦的箭向前冲去。锣鼓声、呐喊声响彻上空。渐渐地，五艘龙舟拉开了距离，溪口队遥遥领先，几乎没有船能追得上他了。最后溪口队赢得了第一名。
