我们拿着几个粽子去江边，看见江畔站满了人，我们好不容易挤了进去，原来江面上横着五条“龙”，期待已久的赛龙舟马上就要开始了。随着裁判员一声令下，运动员们便卖力地划起来，鼓声震耳欲聋，但鼓手们还是表现得很淡定，仿佛他们已经完全习惯了这种声音。

我刚想拿起粽子开始吃时，却不小心手滑了，粽子便滚落到江里。我可惜得直跺脚，妈妈却表现出一副满不在意的样子，这让我有点奇怪，妈妈平常可是最节省的了。我问妈妈这次为什么不在意，妈妈说“粽子最初就是用来在端午节投入江中祭奠投江的爱国诗人屈原的，人们之所以把糯米包在粽叶里，是因为不想让鱼虾把给屈原的祭品吃掉;之所以赛龙舟，是为了把鱼虾等赶跑，不让他们来吃屈原的尸体。”

我的心怦然一振，以前我虽然知道屈原是一位爱国诗人，听说他因不忍看到自己的祖国被侵略而投江自尽，也知道《离骚》的大气磅礴。但我却不知道，人们竟然这么喜爱和敬重这位诗人，在他死后，还要赛龙舟、包粽子来纪念这位诗人。我想，正是因为屈原的才华和爱国情怀，才让他这么受大家爱戴，我们纪念的不就是这些吗?

端午节，吃粽子，赛龙舟，我们一定要好好传承这些历史文化传统!
