端午节的高一英语【20篇】

Duanwu Festival (端午节, Duānwū Jié) is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation(引用;引证) needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well. In the West, its commonly known as Dragon Boat Festival.

The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC-278 BC) of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fish so they would not eat Qus body. They also sat on long, narrow paddle boats called dragon boats, and tried to scare the fish away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking carved dragon head on the boats prow(船头).

In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as "Poets Day," due to Qu Yuans status as Chinas first poet of personal renown(名声名望).

Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice dumplings called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon boats in memory of Qus dramatic death.

With the improvement of living level, the goods package have become more

and more complicated and exaggerated. Thus, the phenomenon of the excessive

packaging is common around us. Such as Mid-autumn moon cakes. But what factors

contribute to this phenomenon?

Firstly, as we all know, a large number of markets and stores think that

goods which are well-decorated could attract consumers and inspire consumers to

purchase goods. So they can earn more money. Secondly, consumers hold the idea

that the more elegant the goods look, the better quality of the commodity is.

Whats more, the government didnt make relevant rules to prevent this

phenomenon.

Personally speaking, excessive packaging has a bad influence on our

environment, which also wastes precious resources. So we should increase our

awareness of consuming and save rare resources. At the same time, some useful

measures should be taken by the government. Its high time we took action to

prevent this situation. Only in this way can we put an end to this trend.

My new years resolution is very easy, only three piece of advice. At first, I want to get good grade. Next,I have studied hard as my math is not good,so I have practiced everyday. Further, I want to take my dance lesson .Because I really love dance. I have already studied five dances since 2011. I just have been a bus spotter. I have not yet ever liked bus like now. During this National Day public holiday, I am planning to stay home and revise for all my subjects. Since it is almost end of the year and exams are coming up soon, I must use all my time wisely and thoughtfully in order to achieve a good school mark. Therefore, even though it is a holiday, I will still use it to study. However, I will still spend some time with my family and catch up with my friends because I believe studying is most effective when it is flexible and working as balance diet.

端午，在我的家乡是没有什么很特别的风俗的，也是那几样，吃粽子，插艾草，和家里人坐在一起吃吃饭罢了。唯一一个让我觉得有些特别的是，在端午那天每个孩子手上都要带上五色的绳子——五色缕。

五色缕，说的通俗些，就是用五种色彩明艳的丝线编成的绳子。在端午那天系在手腕上，有着避免灾祸的意思。这都是老一辈然传下来的，深究也不知到底是从那一辈传下来的了，仿佛是自盘古开天辟地时就有了的。

而且这五色缕还有一个讲究，就是摘下的时候一定要在雨天，还一定要在有活水的地方。那时的我不明白其中的含义也就不甚在意。

直到有一次，那绳子的质量实在是太差，花花绿绿的颜色都印在了手腕上，就像一个会活动的调色盘。洗来洗去的让我就的分外的烦，干脆就找了个没人的时候，解了下来，扔在了垃圾箱里。

就在我以为平安无事，可以解除警报的时候，它败露了——我的外婆发现了。她将我拉到客厅里狠狠教训了一顿，那神态仿佛是我犯下了什么十恶不赦、不可饶恕的罪过。瞬间，一种“都是我的错”的感觉油然而生。最后，外婆又编了一条五色缕小心翼翼的给我戴在了手腕上。并一再嘱咐，一定要等到下雨天再解下来，平时是万万不能解下的!

后来我才知道，在下雨天将五色缕在下雨天解下扔到活水河里，有带一身的病痛和灾难带走的含义。绳子顺流而下，灾难也会随波而逝，在今后的一年里就会过的幸福安康。

现在，我和外婆不住在一起了，每逢端午时，妈妈也会挑五条颜色鲜亮的绳子编成五色缕，只是她早已不记得当年的编法，只是随便撮一撮，应应景，在过节时讨个好兆头罢了。
