每年的农历五月初五，就是我国的传统节日——端午节。

记得我上一年级的那个端午节。爸爸一大早就把艾叶葛蒲挂在家门的两边，妈妈从农贸市场买来了新鲜的粽叶。妈妈用粽叶把头一天就泡好了的糯米还有大枣和花生包了起来，然后用细绳子系牢，我刚要想用剪刀帮妈妈把绳子剪断妈妈阻止了我接着包下一个，要包5个才剪断绳子。爸爸说要把包好的粽子放在高压锅里煮两个小时才能吃。

终于到了吃饭时间了，我迫不及待的拿了一个粽子在碗里，解开粽叶后，一个白白胖胖散发着清香的肚里有大枣、花生的胖粽子就呈现在我的眼前，蘸一点儿白糖放到嘴里，感觉是甜甜的、软软的、粘粘的还有一种特殊的清香味好吃极了。接着我们又吃了煮大蒜、发芽豆和咸鸭蛋等传统食品，爸爸边吃边给我讲端午节的来历。

在我国战国时期楚国有一个大臣叫屈原他生于公元前339年，他是诗人，而且还是政治家，很有才华。他主张抗秦，于是遭到了贵族子兰等人的反对，还被赶出都城，流放到沅、湘流域。公元前278年，秦军攻破楚国京城。屈原眼看自己的祖国被侵略，心如刀割，于农历5月5日投泊罗江而死。据考证屈原一生有25篇作品留世，最的有“离骚”、“天问”、“九歌”等。后来，鲁迅先生称赞为“逸响伟辞，卓绝一世”。

据说屈原死后，楚国的百姓十分伤心，纷纷来到泊罗江边凭吊屈原。人们希望鱼虾不要去吃屈原，便向河里投用芦苇叶包成的粽子，鱼虾吃饱了就不会去吃屈原的尸体。为了纪念历这位伟大的爱国诗人，人们就把他跳河的那一天定为端午节，才有了后来赛龙舟、吃五个连着的粽子、喝雄黄酒的风俗。

啊，难忘的端午节，你在我童年的记忆里留下了深深的印象，在我吃着传统节日美食的同时也让我了解了我国历这位伟大的政治家、爱国诗人，我要向屈原一样不向邪恶势力低头，努力学习报孝国家，永远热爱自己的祖国。

如果说，之前的我还是一个乳臭未干的小毛孩儿，那么经历了这件事，我已成长为一名懂事的青少年了。在那一瞬间，我终于明白了：没有谁的付出是理所当然的，羊有跪乳之恩，鸦有反哺之义，我们要学会感恩，学会珍惜!

peoples. They like to stay up and join many night activities, then they wake up

very late. The new expression of brunch fits them so much, which means the

people to have a meal combining with breakfast and lunch. But their health is

under threat. Some young peoples stomach hurts and cant digest food well. In

order to keep healthy, we need to do some exercise and eat food regularly.

Whats more, the balanced diet is very important, as the saying that an apple a

day, keeps the doctor away, so we need to eat properly. The healthy lifestyle

makes us live happily.

That was spectacular. Tonight, the world was able to join in a magnificent tribute to the athletes and the Olympic spirit. It was an unforgettable and moving ceremony that celebrated the imagination, originality and energy of the Beijing Games.

We saw 204 national delegations march into the beautiful new National Stadium in the age-old tradition of the Games. Millions of people around the world were able to experience the thrill of seeing their heroes in a sea of team colours and national flags.

We witnessed athletes from these 204 countries and territories united in peace in one place. And for the next 16 days, they will be a part of one of the most thrilling competitions in history. As an Olympian, I can tell you that they will carry this memory with them forever.

This iconic stadium is one of the worlds new wonders. It was a fitting setting for an amazing Opening Ceremony, I look forward to an equally exciting and unforgettable 16 days.

Opening ceremonies have always been a way for host cities to welcome the world and for the world to gather and share the Olympic spirit. new high school life is both exciting and challenging for me. first, im in a new environment with my new teachers and new classmates. many of them are all from top middle schools in the area. im so excited to meet them all. the new school building is designed creatively and attractively. i loved it . my new teachers are nice and them teach very weel. they are always willing to answer my questions at the end of the class. second, i have to take some new subjects and choose some subjects myself. i liked that because it gives students freedom and i can develop more in my areas of interest. third, im glad to join into some of the clubs and activities in my school. they are very interesting and i could learn more social experience through those activities. im proud to be in this new school and i wish that i can unleash my potential and achieve my best in this school.

The New Life A few months ago, I was a primary pupil. I had many good friends and teachers that I remember all the time. My new life is very exciting. I’m in Dongzhou Middle School. It’s famous in Jiangsu. It’s bigger and more beautiful than the primary school. I love it very much. I’m in Cla10, Grade 7. It’s a good class. The students are clever, nice, friendly and helpful. All my classmates study hard. They want to be on the top. I get up at 5:30. Sometimes I read English, sometimes I learn Chinese. Studying is very / interesting. With the improvement of living level, the goods package have become more

and more complicated and exaggerated. Thus, the phenomenon of the excessive

packaging is common around us. Such as Mid-autumn moon cakes. But what factors

contribute to this phenomenon?

Firstly, as we all know, a large number of markets and stores think that

goods which are well-decorated could attract consumers and inspire consumers to

purchase goods. So they can earn more money. Secondly, consumers hold the idea

that the more elegant the goods look, the better quality of the commodity is.

Whats more, the government didnt make relevant rules to prevent this

phenomenon.

Personally speaking, excessive packaging has a bad influence on our

environment, which also wastes precious resources. So we should increase our

awareness of consuming and save rare resources. At the same time, some useful

measures should be taken by the government. Its high time we took action to

prevent this situation. Only in this way can we put an end to this trend.

Environment Protection

Nowadays, peoples life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.

Why this? Because, firstly, some factories are pouring wastes into rivers, lakes, seas and so forth; secondly, because of human activities, agreat number of plants and animals are losing their lives; thirdly, using modern machines and chemicals is bad for the environment. Besides these, there are a lot of human activities which have done or are doing harm to our surroundings.

For this, I think, first, our government should make drastic measures to regulate human activities; second, we human beings should take pains-taking work to stop ourselves destroying the environment and try our best to protect our living space more.

有句话常挂在嘴边：严于律己，宽以待人。

“严于律己”即对自己严格要求，日省吾身，见贤则思齐，见不贤则内自省。孔夫子曾教导弟子“三人行，则必有我师焉。择其善者而从之，其不善者而改之”，说的就是此意。

对做学问者来说，严于律己的精神必不可少。纵观历史，凡学有所成者莫不深知此理。古时学者悬梁刺骨，囊荧映雪，故有纵横捭阖之才，经纶世务之智；王右军临池练字，在池中洗笔，竟染黑了一池水，故后有书圣美誉。其精益求精，严于律己的决心意志着实令人敬佩。也正因为这种精神，成就了一代又一代经世济国之才。

“宽以待人”即宽容地对待别人，多发掘欣赏别人的优点。只有如此，才能发字内心地热爱民众，即儒家所提倡的“仁”，和墨家所阐释的“兼爱”。

孔子将“恕”归结为儒家要义之一，劝说人们原谅他人的过错，包容他人的缺点。我们身边经常有这样的人，今天抱怨这个人太小气，明天又说那个人目中无人，以致于弄得人际关系紧张。因为他不懂得宽恕别人，看人只看到别人身上的缺点，当然就无人可入其眼。试问天下又有谁是十全十美的吗？经常义正词严地指责别人难道就能说明你身上缺点很少？恐怕事实恰好相反。

进一步来说，如果一个人经常欣赏别人的优点，那麽在他眼里则天下无一人不可爱，又哪会心生怨恨呢？东坡流放岭南之时，曾与化外人比邻而居。但他看不到他们的粗鲁，而只看到他们的豪放和不拘小节；看不到他们的不知礼仪，而只看到他们的自然率真。故虽生活艰苦而能得邻里多方援助，结交到不少好友。所以懂得欣赏别人的人总是乐观愉快，兼怀仁爱之心。

“宽以待人”是最好的为人处世之道，它令人旷达无忧。

“严于律己，宽以待人”一言治学修身，一言善处人际，人生三昧尽在其中。如此金玉良言不止应常挂于嘴边，更应反复思量，定能从中获益良多。

Not long after, Qin Bo’s kite was in the sky, but mine was not. I was so disappointed that I wanted to give up. But I thought how disgraceful I was. So I asked Qin Bo to exchange the kites. Oh! His kite was wonderful. It was so light that it flow higher than the kites of all.
