据资料表明，全球沙漠化每年给人类带来260亿美元的巨额损失，现在土地仍以每年600万公顷的速度继续沙化。我国水土流失造成的经济损失是32亿元，大气污染造成的损失是100亿元，而污水污染竟到达了300亿元。如今，世界上已经有164种鸟类灭绝，另外还有290多种兽类，360多种鸟类，80多种鱼类，190多种两栖爬行类动物濒临灭绝，而且临危的时间越来越短，每天24个小时就有150到200种动物从地球上消失。20世纪70年代，世界上因为地球环境污染而死亡的人数已经达到1、5亿人，是60年代的6倍！人类对地球母亲的损害，已经直接危及到了人类自身！

大自然是善良的慈母，同时也是冷酷的屠夫。而她定的法规，是一切法规中最具有强制性的法规，我们不能强制自然，还要保护自然。身为地球的儿女，我们应该为保护地球环境，保护地球而立即行动起来。

三月的春天万物复苏，到处都呈现出一种生机勃勃的景象。今天下午，奶奶带着我来到湘湖参加了小记者活动——“世界地球日集聚湘湖”的活动。此次活动是为了纪念“世界地球日”，所以我们萧山日报的小记者们早早的来到了活动指定地点，根据活动要求化身为环保小卫士，去六个地方完成相应的任务，第一个是过独木桥，第二个是“袋鼠跳”，第三个是要用自己的头去顶气球，第四个捡垃圾，第五个是以“我眼中的文明与不文明现象”为主题，拍摄图片传朋友圈，并集齐20个点赞，第六个是穿着袜子走尖尖的东西。

我们很快就完成了任务，活动结束以后我得到了一个奖品，就是吹泡泡的东西，奶奶还奖励了我吃冰激淋，沿着湘湖边走边吃边玩湘湖的水，我觉得湘湖真是太好玩了。

通过此次活动，我知道了“世界地球日”的意义，让我们从小学会保护地球，从我做起，不乱扔垃圾，做文明的小学生，以后我也会监督好周围的其他人，大家一起来保护地球。
