3.节约用纸。纸浆需求量的猛增是木材消费增长原因之一。全国年造纸消耗木材1000万立方米，进口木浆130万吨，进口纸张的大量消费不仅造成森林毁坏，而且因生产纸浆排放污水江河湖泊受到严重污染（造纸行业所造成的污染占整个水域的百分之三十以上），用过一面的纸可以翻过来做草稿纸，便条纸，或自制成笔记本使用；过期的挂历可以包书皮。
