The giantPanda(Ailuropoda melanoleuca) ("black-and-white cat-foot") is a mammal classified in the bear family, Ursidae, native to central-western and southwestern China. 在这个寒假，我读了许多有趣的故事书，有动物小说、童话书等等，其中我最喜欢的一本书是《西顿动物记》。

这本书是加拿大著名作家欧内斯特。汤普森。西顿写的动物小说，书的内容讲述了十六只不同动物的传奇经历，也是动物界不为人知的一面。比如：聪明的护理妈妈为什么会把有毒的食物喂给自己的孩子?贫民区里的流浪猫小贫儿如何从弱小者变成保护者?黄狗乌利为什么会从一只忠于主人的牧羊犬变成四处捕食的家禽、攻击人类的凶手。，书中所有的英雄与弱者，都用自己的方式阐述着生命的骄傲，它们在告诉我们，动物其实与人类一样聪明机智、坚强勇敢、与人类一样拥有浓烈的请情感，拥有弥足珍贵的亲情、友情与爱情。所以我们应该善待动物，尊重动物，因为动物也是有生命和情感的。

在生活中，我们会养猫或者狗等动物作为宠物陪伴自己，但是却有些人会把它们当作填饱肚子的`食物，他们从别人家把这些宠物捕猎回来，然后杀掉低价卖给酒楼，酒楼再当成食物高价做给食客，这些动物都因为这些人的私欲变成盘中餐，悲惨地结束了一生。而有些人则在养宠物之后又生厌倦将它们遗弃，让它们孤苦地流落街头，之后病死、饿死。我们应该向社会呼吁——要大力保护动物，爱护动物，因为动物是人类最忠实的朋友，也是地球资源的一部分，它们很好地维持地球的生态平衡。

最后，我希望更多朋友去读一下这本书，多了解一些身边的各种动物，去爱护它们、保护它们。我更希望地球上每一只动物都能健健康康、快快乐乐地活着。
