Now I am a middle school student, I will enter high school soon. Everybody thinks that the age of mine is the best age, because we are young and full of vitality. But I want to grow up quickly. I am not afraid of growing old and I want to grow older. In my eyes, age is a gift. As the time goes by, I will become mature. Because the thing I have been through will teach me the lesson and I will learn a lot, becoming a better person. The young and innocent me eager to grow up, I know it takes time to be independent. 一开始读到那里，我觉得很好笑。故事漠然一笑之后，令我感慨万千。人世间最珍贵的。并不是钱，而是人世间的真情。这篇文章也揭露了在社会的底层，虽然不是达官贵族，没有权利，没有金钱，没有地位。可是他们却收获了人世间的真情。是你拥有千百万也收获不到的。

有了金钱，往往会忽视最珍贵的感情。如果有两种选择放在你面前。你是会选择千百万的金钱呢?还是会选择一份真挚的感情呢?有些人可能会犹豫，有些人可能会选择千百万的金钱。而我会毫不犹豫的选择那份真挚的感情。因为他是无价的，是用多少钱也买不回来的。

让我们不要抱怨生活的冷漠与无情，其实即使你生活在在社会的底层，也有一些不被人重视的真情。

这篇《麦琪的礼物》写一对年轻的夫妻，丈夫有一只金表却没有相称的表链;妻子有一头美丽的长发，却没有相配的发梳，丈夫卖掉手表为妻子买了许多梳子,而妻子卖掉长发给丈夫买了金表链。两人同时为对方考虑各自干出了动力心魄的“壮举”，使得双方的愿望都落了空。也许他们很傻,但是这种夫妻之间的深情却让人万分感动。读完了这本书，发现欧 ·亨利的作品大多比较短，故事总是很戏剧性、行文幽默让我很喜欢。

这本书里。最让我喜欢的是《弃恶从善》这个故事。里面讲了一个刑满释放刚出监狱的犯人，因缺钱所以又参加了两次偷窃活动后隐姓埋名跑到了另一个小镇，却又因爱神的捉弄喜欢上了银行老板的女儿，所以留在了这个他不熟悉的小镇。有一天，因为一个特殊的原因是他暴露了自己的身份，于是，他在找到跟踪他的警察之后自首，可警察竟然没有抓他。喜欢这个故事的原因是故事里的每个人都有一副好心肠：警察因知道事情原委所以没逮捕主人公基米，基米则因为弃恶从善、改邪归正所以成为了小镇上小有名气的富翁，而老板的女儿莉则因为听了基米的解释后相信他，并幸福的生活在了一起。

我看完这个故事后常常在想，假如我们的社会中也多一些这样的人该多好呀!像我的同桌倪心源，虽然成绩不好，但每次我问他借东西，他总是能答应我。还有葛卜瑞，也有一副好心肠，每次遇到班上同学有困难，需要帮助的时候，他总是第一个举手的。还有姚佳辰、张忻恒等等，在我们班上都是有着一副好心肠。

读了欧?亨利的名作《麦琪的礼物》，我才深深地感受到了欧?亨利小说的吸引力。

小说的结尾总是出乎人的意料，往往对整部作品有着画龙点睛的作用这种结尾往往会造成心灵的震憾，给人更直接地心灵暗示，爱是相通的，但又是不可理喻的，只要互相谅解，互相支持，互相帮助，人世间将开满绚烂的爱之花!

去年暑假我翻开了我柜子里的《欧亨利100个短篇小说精选》，其中的第一篇就是《麦琪的礼物》，这本书我已经看过很多遍了，因为它的作者是美国著名作家欧亨利，他被称为“短篇小说之王”。

“一元八角七。全都在这儿了，其中六角是一分一分的铜板。这些分分钱是杂货店老板、菜贩子和肉店老板那儿软硬兼施地一分两分地扣下来，直弄得自己羞愧难当，深感这种掂斤播两的交易实在丢人现眼。德拉反复数了三次，还是一元八角七，而第二天就是圣诞节了。”

圣诞节之前，女主德拉想给男朋友吉姆买一份礼物，可是她已经没有多余的钱了，没有办法的情况下，她决定卖掉自己的金发。而他的男朋友吉姆同样想买一份礼物给亲爱的德拉，终于在这个时候德拉为了买表链，卖掉了自己的金发。而吉姆为了买发卡卖掉了自己的金表。

读完这部短篇小说，我体会到了作者对纯真美好的爱情的赞扬，虽然他们没有钱，但是都愿意将自己认为最好的礼物给对方，虽然结果很诧异，但体现了两个人爱情的美好。

《麦琪的礼物》是一部非常优秀的作品，我以前读书的时候就知道，欧亨利的小说风格是既在意料之外，又在情理之中。作者无愧于”短篇小说之王“。今天我们要更加努力，通过自己的双手赚钱。
