November 11 is Bachelor’s Day, it is a joke that shopping can make up the

loneliness on that day, the manufacturers sense the great business, so they give

great discount on that day, people are attracting by the discount, they buy a

lot of things on that special day. But we known that people lose their wisdom

when they buy things, most things are useless.

Today, shopping online brings great discount, the price of the product will

be cheaper online, so people like to shopping online. When the holiday comes,

the products even get cheaper, customers always wait for the chance to pay the

lower price. It is said that as so many buy things on Bachelor’s Day, the

express delivery congested, customers got their stuff very late. It is more

ridiculous that a couple divorced because the wife bought too many things

online.

Now December 12 is coming soon, the discount is being presented, it is a

great lure that customers can’t control themselves. Shopping online should be

rational, we just buy what we need, the rest even is cheaper, but without value,

we must realize is a waste.

Now, we can get cheaper stuff not only online, we should control ourselves,

11月20日 星期四 晴

很多天以前我们就得到消息，省外一家外文出版社今天要到本系招2名英文编辑。一打听，要求还挺高，不但学习成绩进入全系前二十名，还要在英文刊物上发表过文章。仔细掂量了一下自己的实力，我的成绩是全系第十五，这个条件我符合;至于在英文刊物上发表文章，这个条件就有点难了，整个专业也许没几个吧。去还是不去呢?思虑再三，还是去试试。

招聘会在语音室进行。前来应聘的人数不是很多，也就十多人吧。大概是学习成绩这个条件让很多人望而生畏。面试开始了，应聘者依次拿着自己的简历和面试老师面对面坐着交谈。时间大概是3分钟。在我前面的几名同学，和面试老师的交谈了不到一分钟，就灰溜溜地走了，连简历也没有留下。很显然，他们都被淘汰了。

该我上场了。果然，面试老师一得知我没有发表文章的经历，连我的简历也没有看，客气地对我说了声“抱歉”。然后就招呼下一位了。

睡前总结：也许是第一次参加应聘吧，感觉很失败。毕业求职时发现自己学到的东西并不太多。对没有工作经验的我来说，平时的经验就是很好的积累。我很后悔大学前三年没有好好练笔写些稿子。

11月22日 星期六 阴

前天那场招聘会，被隔壁班的两位英语高人给抢走了，听说待遇还不错。签就签了吧，至少少了两个竞争对手，好单位还多着呢。

在武汉科技会展中心，今天有场“武汉8校联合招聘会”，我早早地买了门票，攥着几天前就准备好的6份简历进了场。其中4份是准备应聘翻译的，另外两份应聘英文报刊编辑。其实我的“硬件”还算过得去——专业八级，计算机三级，还有两次“院三好学生”和两次二等奖学金。找个翻译的工作，胜算应该比较大吧。

会场人很多，我绕场转了两圈，仅发现两家英文报刊在招广告策划，想想和自己的专业沾了点边，我毫不犹豫地把简历递了过去。

对方仔细看我的简历，问了一句：“你是学广告策划的吗?”

他刚才不是看了吗?怎么还问我?我说：“不是，我是英语专业的。我对你们的工作岗位……”“对不起，我们不要其他专业的!”还没说完，对方就很不耐烦地打断了我的话。

睡前总结：今天的收获几乎为零。宿舍小文总结我的失败之处在于跨专业求职。想来也对，跨专业求职对普通学生难度太大，除非事前有很好的准备。今天的失败应该在于没考虑自己的专业因素吧。

11月27日 星期四 阴

谢天谢地，终于迎来第一场针对本专业的招聘会。宿舍的几位姐妹都起床忙于梳妆打扮。我早早地起来，又把自己的简历看了一遍，按求职意向分门别类整理了一下自己的思路。挤进会场后，我先绕场一周了解大致情况，然后有针对性地把我的简历投了出去。

我们专业不过500来人，而整个会场人数足足有一两千。我甚至还瞥见有位同学来自广东省的中山大学。

到底是针对英语专业，让我感觉自己能胜任在场的所有职位。上午我去一家外贸公司应聘高级翻译。面试老师用英语问起了一些有关我家庭成员和籍贯的问题，虽然谈不上对答如流，却也算是表达清晰。后来又和我聊起了今年年初流行的SARS病的相关问题知识，我的语句就开始不通畅了。最后我感觉对方有点落井下石，竟问起了今年诺贝尔化学奖的得主来自哪个国家。我支吾了半天，只好“SORRY”。

还是再试试另一家报社的英文编辑吧。

展位前的椅子上已经坐了好多前来应聘的人。我刚要找个地方坐下，中间一位老师就站起来宣布面试开始。接着发给大家每人一张试卷。要求在半个小时内完成。

我瞅了瞅周围的人，他们看上去相当认真。题目是十个选择填空题和一篇作文改错。几个选择题似乎很简单，几分钟我就完成了。那篇作文是有关神州5号飞船升空的，反复看了好几遍，才找到一处语法错误。眼看时间快到了，我胡乱地改了几处单词。然后把试卷交了上去。

那位戴眼镜的老编辑花了几分钟看完了我们的试卷，当场宣布5人进入下一轮面试，其余的人全部淘汰。原因是只有这5人记得神州5号升空的日子。

为什么平时不多看看报纸呢。这么重要的错误也没发现?下次还是小心点吧。

睡前总结：两个这么好的工作就被我这样给糟蹋了。我发现虽然自己专业已经是八级，但口语什么的好象还不太够用，而要命的是我平时除了集中学习专业知识，对外界的关心太少了。 翻译和编辑两种工作都需要大量的社会知识积累。我败在了平时。

12月1日 星期一 阴

连续两天，华中科技大学和武汉科技会展中心召开了两场招聘会。天很冷，但依然高兴，因为两天的奔波换来了三个面试机会。

一是本市一家进出口贸易公司，我应聘副总经理秘书，二是一家企业缺个策划，再就是市中心一所重点高中的英语教师。我根据自己的优势和硬件，集中对英语教师进行了精心准备。想到面试时多半会要求我上台试讲，我还特地请教了我们的英语老师，让他为我作了特别辅导。

果然不出我所料，那位老校长要我上讲台授课，4位老师临时充当我的学生。好在我提前做了准备，一上讲台，我就着那本高中英语课本绘声绘色地讲了起来。加上我们高中学过那篇课文，我发挥比较出色。20分钟后，老校长叫停，而后就和几位老师开始了讨论。

说实话，虽然紧张，但我对自己的发挥还是比较满意。果然，老校长对我说：“刘小姐，你已经通过了我们的面试，如果你是真诚喜欢这个职位的话，请随时拨打我的电话，我等你的好消息。”说完，递过来一张名片。

睡前总结：那一刻，我几乎要高兴得喊出来。为了工作，我已经整整奔波了10 天了。今天终于尝到了被录用的甜头。嘿嘿。

Dreams and Reality

When we talk about dreams, we are so excited, we have many dreams, such as

being a famous person, traveling around the world and so on.

Dreams are what we pursue for a lifetime, with many dreams, we have

motivation to fight for our life. The opposite side of dream is reality, we have

to face reality everyday, reality is what we perceive in our life.

Reality always frustrates us to be successful. We need to balance them.

First, we need to face reality, though it is not ideal, we live in a world, we

have to know exactly who we are. Second, to make our dreams come true, we need

to adjust our dreams according to the reality。

农历二十八因为快过年了，我和爸爸妈妈回到了奶奶家。

奶奶准备了很多好吃的等着我们，有油炸蔬菜丸、鱼丸、还要好多海鲜，大伯一家也回来了，一家人聚在一起，看电视、放鞭炮，别提多热闹了。

大年三十的下午，妈妈说今天要包饺子，一听包饺子我第一个赞成，因为我最喜欢吃饺子了，看着大人们切菜，剁肉，和面，我也来了兴致，决定跟妈妈学抱饺子。

我的第一个饺子，真是惨不忍睹，因为捏得不到位，竟然“趴”下去了。第二个呢，因为放多了馅，包好后，竟然把馅露出了一大截……哎，再看看妈妈和奶奶包的，个个圆乎乎的像个小元宝。我不禁更气馁了，奶奶一看我这模样，连忙安慰我说：“莫急，莫急，慢慢来嘛，来奶奶教你”在在奶奶的鼓励下，我重新振奋了起来，再加上奶奶的指导和我非常仔细地观察了妈妈的手法，竟然也掌握了包饺子的技巧，先少放一点馅试着包了几个还真有饺子的样子了，这下我高兴了，开始将馅放到适量了，终于可以包出象样的饺子了，虽然样子还没有奶奶和妈妈包的好看，但我已经很知足了，妈妈也夸奖我，说以后会越包越像的。

饺子包好了，就要开始烧水煮了，我焦急的等待着，好不容易，饺子煮好了，夹起一个自己包的饺子，心里就象吃了蜜一样甜。奶奶说：“饺子，不仅味道令人着迷，还象征着幸福和团圆。”原来饺子还有这样的意思啊，我又学到知识了。

看着一家人围着桌子吃着热气腾腾的饺子别提多开心了，在这个充满爱的家中，我无比幸福。

日记是用来叙述一天中发生的有意义事件的文体。

第一，注意日记的格式：一般是左上角写当天的日期，右上角写当天的天气情况(cloudy/clear/windy/rainy/fine/snowy…)。日期通常采用两种写法：一种是按“月、日、年”顺序；另一种是按“日、月、年”的顺序。注意要在年份之前有一个逗号，而且月份通常可用缩写词（如：Jan.,Feb.,Mar.等）。如果需要写星期，可将其写在日期的前面或后面。如：Monday,May15th,2008或May15th,2008,Monday

第二，抓准日记的时态：日记记叙的时间通常是在当天的下午或晚上，因此所用的时态多为过去时态。但应灵活掌握，如果日记叙述天气、描写景色或为了描写生动，也可用现在时。

第三，日记一般按事情发生的先后顺序记述，所以常需借助一些表示先后顺序的词语，如atfirst,then,lateron,afterwards,finally,atlast等。一定要注意句与句、段与段之间的连接和过渡，适当使用一些过渡词语使其连接紧凑、过渡自然。

第四，确立日记的中心要点，尽量突出主题，可以通过对某个细节、某个侧面的描写来突出主题，千万不要写成一个流水帐。

A happy Day

It was sunny and very hot today. I got up early and helped my parents cook breakfast. Then I washed the dishes and cleaned the room. After a short rest I did my homework in the morning. China’s One Child Policy is a good way to solve this problem and stop the population from growing so fast. It also can help our country develop quickly then people’s standard of living will become higher and higher.

At the same time a lot of other problems will be done with, such as employment problems, food problems, water problems and so on…So I think it is necessary for China to carry out this policy.

MondaySeptember1,20__ weather：__

I went to visit the Great Wall with my friends during the summer vacation.

We went there by bus. It took us about two hours to get there. It was hot and

windy that day. There were thousands of people. When we saw a group of

foreigners,we went up and talked with them. We told them lots of history of the

Great Wall. They were very surprised when they saw that our English were

exellent and we knew a lot about the Great Walls history. They thanked us a lot

and we really had a good time. We felt proud of ourselves and being Chinese.

今天上去，我们去学英语口语。我们的英语老师叫Tom，他跟我以前的外交老师Mike有点像。

我们先相互问候一下，Tom老师先问我们：“what’s your name?”然后，他把我们的名字一一写下。他一个一个的问，我们一个一个的回答。

然后，他问：“who can picture(draw)?”

我们都不举手，因为我们都不知道该画什么?

后来，英语老师Tom请了一个人，他的名字叫tony。我们看一看，原来呀，是叫我们画人物，按照书上的画。

他第二个叫的是dear,他第三个叫的就是我了，我画的非常好。等我们都画完，他把我们今天学的单词都画了下来，我们一节课学了6个单词，然后，他跟我们玩了一个游戏，就是喊到谁有的东西，我们就指向谁。比如说，老师：“who is wearing glasses?”,我们就指向他，一齐说：“tearcher is wearing glasses!”

这个游戏一直玩到下课。然后，Tom老师说：“class is over!let’s rest for five minters。”

等第二节课开始上课后，我们就先复习了一下上节课学的单词.然后，Tom老师又带我们做了游戏。正好来了一个老师，给我们发东西了。他给tony发了一个帽子，给jimy、dear各发了一副眼镜。这个游戏的规则还是跟上节课一样。

他问我们：“who is wearing a hat?”

我们就一起说：“tony!”

最好玩的是，有一次，让我戴眼镜，我不仅戴了眼镜，还戴了帽子。
