白露节气过后，真正意义上的金秋悄然来临。“一场秋雨一场寒”。阵阵秋风吹跑了夏日的酷暑，带给大地的是一丝深似一丝的寒意。人们的衣着从短袖也变成长袖，老人们甚至穿上了夹衣。多数花草树木的“衣裳”也由碧绿渐渐换成了褐黄，换下的“衣服”纷纷从树枝上随风飘落下来，使人产生一种秋风萧瑟的惆怅情怀。

就在这“秋风扫落叶”的季节里，却有一种花儿不畏秋寒，怒然绽放，它一团团、一簇簇地摇曳在秋风的枝头，向人们展现出“不似春光，胜似春光”的美景，那就是灯笼花儿。

灯笼花，也有人把它叫做金钱花，它长在一种高大的乔木树梢，在秋天里分外抢眼。我常常贮立在灯笼花的树下，仰望它那婀娜多姿的形态，不由自主地产生好奇与景仰之情。

我发现，灯笼花的颜色竟然会变!初初绽开时，有的是淡淡的黄绿色，有的是嫩嫩的粉红色，有的是浅浅的乳白色。随着秋风吹拂，时间推移，它们不约而同地变成了深红色或浅红色，但仍然依恋在高高的枝头。

一阵秋风吹过，偶尔也会有几朵灯笼花从高高的树梢上象仙女下凡般地飘然而下。我迫不及待地跑过去，弯下腰小心地将它捧起，细细欣赏。哇!它长的`多象水果中的杨桃啊!如果换一个方向看过去，它又象“宝马”汽车的标志，真有趣。它的花瓣远看娇艳粉嫩，近观却有些略显粗糙，甚至还带点小皱褶，上面布满了若隐若现的条纹。爸爸告诉我，那是植物的维管束，是运送养分的通道。小心翼翼地掰开花瓣，里面原来藏着绿豆般大小的种子!我突然明白了，原来灯笼花的花瓣如此夸张，竟然是一个“飞翔器”，便于将种子飘送到更远的地方，再发芽、生根，直到又长成参天大树，如此一代一代的传承，生生不息。

寒意深重的秋天，正因为有了象灯笼花一类景物的点缀，突然变得活泼与年轻。灯笼花它不与百花争奇斗艳的品德及不畏寒风的品格，不正值得我们学习与仿效的吗?

I have a big family. There are four people in my family: my mother, my

father, my younger brother and me. Oh, there is also a dog named Buddy lives

with us. My mother is a Chinese teacher, and my father is a lawyer. My little

brother and I go to the same school. On weekday, my father sends us to school;

while mother help us with our homework. My favorite thing is to play with our

dog, Buddy. If we have enough time, we will take him for a walk. I love my

family.
