Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.

At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

热爱生活，就要爱惜粮食。俗话说，每一食，便念稼穑之艰难；每一衣，则思纺织之辛苦。爱惜粮食，是我们每一个公民理所应当的义务，并不是说你生活富裕，就可以肆无忌惮的挥霍粮食。浪费是一种可耻的行为。我国还有那么多人没有解决温饱和贫穷问题，有粮食应感觉自己幸福无比，怎能浪费粮食？减少浪费其实并不难，在日常生活中可谓是举手之劳：吃饭时不掉米粒，尽量不扔剩饭菜，不挑食等。如能做到，粮食的浪费必可大大减少。

记得以前，我根本不爱惜粮食，吃一顿饭，桌上、碗里那是“遍地珍珠”。尽管爸爸不时提醒，妈妈皱着眉头，我还是“头昏眼花——老样子”。妈妈看我吃饭时唉声叹气，爸爸则吹胡子瞪眼，什么办法都没有。

过不了几天，我浪费的米粒足足有一碗那么多，妈妈看见我如此挥霍粮食，便带我到田野里走一走，看一看，我高兴的脸上充满了喜悦。来到田野，只见田野广袤无垠，麦子在微风下枝头摆动，似乎在欢迎我的到来。十几个人在那里忙碌地收割。有一个年近古稀的老爷爷正在那里挥着镰刀，汗水也随之而下，流入麦田里。妈妈笑着问我：“你想不想帮他们收割小麦？”我看着一望无际的麦田，吓得哆哆嗦嗦，但还是装着不屑的样子说：“谁不敢，不就是收割吗，有什么难的？”“一言为定？”“恩，一言为定”我信誓旦旦的说道。

于是我拿着镰刀就下了田。可谁知根本不像我说得简单。我想放弃，但想起刚才我对妈妈的承诺，只好顶着头皮干，太阳炙热烤人，我挥汗如雨，干了一个时辰，我去河边洗脸凉快凉快，猛然见到河水里我狼狈的情景：头发一绺一绺的被汗水浸透，黏在脸上。汗水滴在脸上变成了黑水。好像刚打过仗的士兵，又像热爱雨林里的毛利人，哭笑不得之余，我深深的愧疚，愧疚我不珍惜粮食，愧疚我不珍惜农民辛辛苦苦的粮食。

热爱生活，爱惜粮食。勤俭节约的美德如甘霖，能让贫穷的土地开出富裕的花；勤俭节约的美德似雨露，能让富有的土地结下智慧的果实。爱惜粮食就是爱惜自己，爱惜地球。让我们热爱生活，爱惜粮食，世界会因此而美丽！

After that day, our family really played a low-carbon life.

碳低生活在今天已经不是什么新鲜词了，人们都知道什么叫低碳生活。

今天我就来说说我们家的低碳生活。有一天，我写完作业就坐在沙发里看电视，一部关于环保的公益广告吸引住了我。画面中蔚蓝的天空中飘着一朵朵白云，一望无际的草原上，嫩绿的小草随风轻轻摇动着它的小脑袋，那些五颜六色的小花在地上和小蝴蝶跳起了芭蕾。可是画面一转，就变成了到处都是荒草，荒无人烟的大沙漠。

我坐在沙发上，看着窗外昏黄的天空心想：

我们要是再不保护环境，说不准哪一天我们的家乡也会变成那样。想到这儿我马上站起来对爸爸妈妈说：“低碳生活要从我们家做起!”

从那天以后，我们家真的过起了低碳生活。

只要天不黑家里绝对不开灯。出门不是骑电动车就是坐公交。而且我在卫生间里贴了一张白纸写上“请节约用水”几个大字，哎!果然有效，爸爸妈妈再也不浪费水了，他们俩把洗菜水，洗衣服的水都存下来冲马桶，这样做既节约水，还省下了不少水费。

我爸以前扔垃圾都是不管三七二十一装在一个袋子里一同扔掉。可是现在却不同了，他每次都把垃圾分类，不可回收的都扔掉，可回收再利用的都收集起来卖给收废品的，这样卖废品的钱攒起来还可以买菜。

就这样两个月的低碳生活，不仅让我们家人人养成了好习惯，还节省了不少生活开销。妈妈高兴的说：“低碳生活既环保，又省钱，还能让我们健康的生活，我们家一定要把低碳生活进行到底!”
