苏翊鸣的滑雪生涯中，有两个角色举足轻重。

一个是苏翊鸣的外籍教练，佐藤康弘。

作为中国冰雪项目的外籍教练，佐藤康弘曾执教过单板滑雪世锦赛冠军鬼塚雅等名将。

当年，他受邀担任中国单板滑雪大跳台和坡面障碍技巧项目主教练，负责为中国滑雪选材的时，第一时间想到了曾在日本给他留下深刻印象的苏翊鸣。

事实证明他的判断并没有错。

2019年，苏翊鸣与成年选手同台竞技，争夺参加冬奥会的资格。

单板大跳台，是从高处滑下来，进行跳跃后，表演各种空翻、回转等空中绝技的比赛。

比赛当天，苏翊鸣因为第一轮就动作失误而心情低落，但佐藤康弘很冷静，他建议苏翊鸣在下一轮加大动作难度，借此超越对手。最终，苏翊鸣逆风翻盘，成为该项目的第一名。

冬奥会比赛现场，当苏翊鸣第二跳凭借1800的转体动作排名跃居第二位时，佐藤康弘的兴奋溢于言表。

2008年，国内的单板滑雪项目刚刚起步，苏翊鸣去雪场都没有适合他穿的雪具。

刚跟随父母接触到这项运动的时候，年幼的苏翊鸣连这项运动叫“单板滑雪”都不知道，也根本没有想过，在未来的某一天，他将成为一名职业选手。

苏翊鸣的父亲苏群在接受《新京报》的采访时透露，在苏翊鸣六七岁的时候，他的滑雪水平就超过了自己和妻子。但在苏群眼中，苏翊鸣的成功并不是因为天赋异禀，“我觉得天赋的作用并不大，重要的是翊鸣拥有对滑雪与生俱来的热情。”

苏翊鸣的母亲李蕾在短片《少年志》中一度提起自己会因为滑雪的危险性感到害怕和心疼，但从没有想过让他去放弃，因为苏翊鸣太喜欢了。

于是，苏翊鸣的滑雪之路，在父母的引导和支持下，越走越远。

我记得，在疫情过后，我们六年级下册正式开学的时候，您怀孕了。美术老师告诉我们，您本来可以辞去班主任这个职务，可以安心做英语老师，也能安心养胎，也不会再那么辛苦的带我们这一届毕业生了。可是您没有，您依旧挺着肚子带我们去操场做操，去食堂吃饭，去校门口带我们放学，马上就要毕业了，但我真的很铭记这些时刻。

在这两年里，您不像是一位班主任老师，更像是我们成长路上的一位知心好友，为我们排忧解难，倾听我们的心声;更像是我们的母亲，会在我们生病难受时关心我们，给予我们温暖。您会用心的为我们操办六一的美食节，也会自己掏腰包为我们发奖励。

虽然要毕业了，我们马上就要各奔东西，去不同的学校，我还是会记得，您对我们的各种好，各种爱!
