早在2012

年，苏翊鸣去日本学习滑雪时，出色的资质就引起了佐藤康弘的注意。2018年，苏翊鸣入选中国国家集训队，并跟随如今的恩师佐藤康弘开始苦练滑雪。尽管年少就资质过人，但苏翊鸣的努力则是他成功的直接原因。

在近日接受采访时，佐藤康弘曾直言，苏翊鸣刚入选国家集训队时，距离当时的日本顶级选手还有一定的实力差距，但苏翊鸣后来的进步非常迅速。
