The science museum is next to the People’s Park. It isn’t far from our school. So we can go there on foot .Walk straight to the west from our school, next turn left at the post office and walk for about 5 minutes, then turn right at traffic lights. Taking exercise is good for our health. All work and no play makes Jack a

dull boy. By taking exercise, we can relax our body and mind. At the same time,

we can harden our muscle and have a good figure. If we dont take exercise for a

long time, we may easily fall sick.

I enjoy several outdoor sports. Swimming in the sea is my favorite. Because

there are too many people in a swimming pool and the water is always dirty, I

prefer to swim in the sea.

Playing badminton is also fun. I can always find a place in the park for

这个星期的星期五，也是20__年的最后一天，我们在学校里举办了元旦联欢会，同学们都带着大包小包的零食，兴冲冲地来到学校，总是觉得，这一天充满了欢乐。原本我们的老班说“禁吃”，但是因为我们诗歌朗诵朗诵的好，所以老班不得不把“禁吃”改成了“尽吃”。

下午开校门以后，我们走进教室，满目都是簇拥的气球和拉花，漂亮极了，吃小饭桌的同学真是煞费苦心呀。上课铃响了，当孙子涵宣布“元旦联欢会正式开始”的时候，全班都沸腾了，我们有的吃，有的喝，脸上都露出了喜悦的笑容。这次联欢会举办的非常好，同学们表演了令人哈哈大笑的《喜剧学院》，还有笑翻肚皮的《八杆烟枪》，还有搞笑的《三只猪气死一只狼》，当然少不了张靖欣和孙子涵表演的《双簧·80元的手术》，都非常精彩。在我们尽情表演的时候，李校长进来了，她对我们说了一些语重心长的话，另许多同学热泪盈眶，我们共同观看着演出，享受着20__年的最后一天。

同学们的吃相很丰富，有张开大嘴使劲往里面塞零食的，有拿起零食用牙齿一节一节地咬的，还有左手拿着个，右手拿那个的，各式各样，看着这些同学们，我忍不住笑了起来。

时光过得很快，转眼间，放学铃就响了，我们还没有吃的尽兴，这次联欢会就又要结束了，在放学即将来临之际，同学发给我们一些礼品，祝我们新年快乐，在这里，我也祝同学们新年快乐。

也许等我为人妻、为人母的时候，能够深刻的理解母爱的意义。但是我希望我的妈妈也能感受一下我的感觉。天底下哪有妈妈不疼孩子的。我爱我的妈妈，她不仅给予我生命，给予我做人的权利，更教会我做人的道理。

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

After finishing my homework I went to the Tai Mountian with my friends during my holiday. When we got near the Tai Mountain by buswe were very excited. We planned to get on the top of the Tai Mountain. Next we began to walk we to the foot of the mountian. There were many visitors there. And all of us enjoyed the beautiful views beside the steps. At last we reached the top.Not only we had a picnic there but also we took several picturestoo.

Though we were very tiredwe were very happy about that trip.

March 5th is my birthday.Its also a special day to memorize a great person

-- Lei Feng. This year I celebrated my birthday in a different way. In the

morning, I got up early and cooked breakfast for my parents. At school, I helped

my desk-mates to repair their broken chairs.After school, I took my birthday

cake to the home for the aged. The old men were so happy to see me. All o~ them

hoped that I would be back again.What a joyful birthday it was!

通过阅读，我学到了很多知识。在《红楼梦》中，我可以看到贾、王、史、薛四大家族的兴衰血泪史;在《上下五千年》中，我可以感知中华民族五千年的灿烂文化;在外国文学作品中，我可以感受到西方国家文化的自由、平等、博爱;在《论语》中，我可以看到儒家文化的“仁”和“礼”的璀璨精髓;在《唐诗三百首》中，我可以欣赏到李白的潇洒与清高。书籍就这样，能让我观天理，知古今，想未来。

通过阅读，让我可以很好地调整自己的心态。当我取得一定成绩的时候，书籍提醒我应该拥有“欲穷千里目，更上一层楼”的进取精神;当我失败的时候，书籍让我明白“失败乃成功之母”的内涵;当我失意、徘徊不前的时候，书籍让我拥有了“山重水复疑无路，柳暗花明又一村”的顿悟;当我思想懒惰的时候，书籍告诉我“莫等闲，白了少年头”。书籍告诉我，在人生的道路上，不仅有光明大道，还有羊肠小路。在书籍的帮助下，我没有了忧伤，没有了懒惰，有的是动力和目标。

我认为读一本好书就是与一个高尚的灵魂对话，古人也曾赞美过这样的好处，“书中自有颜如玉，书中自有黄金屋”，只要你能饱读诗书一切问题都不成问题。书籍对于我，它拥有不一般的地位。它不仅让我明白了这世间为人处世的道理，还让我的写作水平有了很大的提高。它是我最棒的良师，最好的益友!

Beijing is an ancient city with a long history. Back in 3000 years ago in Zhou dynasty, Beijing, which was called Ji at the moment, had been named capital of Yan. Thereafter, Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasty all made Beijing their capital. Therefore, Beijing was famous for "Capital of a thousand years".

The long history leaves Beijing precious cultural treasure. Winding for several kilometers in Beijing area, the Great Wall is the only man-made structure that could been seen in the space. The Summer Palace is a classic composition of ancient royal gardens, and the Forbidden City is the largest royal palaces in the world. Tiantan is where the emperor used to fete their ancestors, and also the soul of Chinese ancient constructions. The four sites above has been confirmed world cultural heritage by UNESCO. However, the best representatives for Beijing are the vanishing Hutongs and square courtyards. Through hundreds of years, they have become symbol of Beijings life. Tiananmen square being still brilliant today with cloverleaf junctions and skyscrapers everywhere, the old-timey scene and modern culture are combined to present a brand new visage of Beijing.

As Beijing has been confirmed home city of Olympics 2008, the spirit of "green Olympics, scientific Olympics and humanized Olympic" will surely bring more and more changes to Beijing, promote the development of sports and Olympics in China as well as in the world, and strengthen the friendly communications between Chinese and foreign people.

我国自古以来就是一个讲究文明礼仪的国家，被世人称为“文明古国，礼仪之邦”。今天，那么，怎样才算是讲文明呢?今天，我就谈谈一小点：遵守公德、爱护环境。

你看，在公共汽车上许多人为老弱病残孕让座，上车的时候主动购票;有些年轻人把吃的瓜子皮放在一个小方便袋里，吃完的时候把它扔进垃圾箱;许多司机师傅不闯红灯，不超速，不酒后驾车……

其实，文明就在我们身边。瞧，一位母亲骑着自行车带着年幼的女儿走在马路上，孩子一不小心，手中的饼干掉在地上。母亲马上停下车，轻声对女儿说：“来，咱们把它扔到垃圾箱中去。”说着，把孩子抱下来，两人一起弯腰去捡地上的饼干。

同学们，你们遵守公德、爱护公物吗?

我想起了自己亲历的一件事。去年，我到常州玩，因一个人无聊便下楼在小区里散步。走着，走着，就看见几个小朋友在草坪上嬉戏玩耍，把小草都踩扁了!我很气愤，正准备上前“教训”他们时，一位年轻的女子走向他们并亲切的说：“小草是属于大家的，它也有生命，也怕疼。我们应该爱护它们，而不是让它们受伤。”那几个小朋友羞愧得低下了头。我开心地笑了。

然而，我们也看到，大街上那许多随风飘荡的垃圾，损坏的栏杆。干净路面上污浊的痰迹，白色墙壁上的脚印……还有许多需要我们每个人的爱护和“细心照料”的地方。

是啊!我们总是对一些国家和地区的优美景致心生向往，那里优美的环境总给人留下深刻的印象。仔细思量，优美环境的身后是整个城市中无数人遵守公德、爱护环境的结果，也展现了城市中每一个人的风采。因此，我们需要遵守公德、爱护环境，这才能够让生活更美好!
