“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。”“不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹?”每个人在成功的道路上都会碰到来自各方面的困难，也许是环境、也许是精神、也可能是物质……只要坚持去克服，那么成功就在眼前。

艰苦的军训好似飞箭，转瞬即逝，然而它又像一把火红的烙铁，在我心中留下了深深的印记。

军训前，我特别期待军训，脑海里时常浮现出电视上播放国庆时军队参加检阅时的情景：官兵们雄赳赳、气昂昂地从天安门广场走过。那整齐的步伐，那飒爽的英姿，那庄严的表情，那响彻云霄的口号，真是要多帅，就有多帅!想着想着我忽然觉得自己已经是他们中的一员了，我行着军礼，迈着正步经过雄伟的天安门广场。

可是，现实总是那么残酷：军训第一天，烈日当空，骄阳似火，阳光如千万根钢针、刺的我们睁不开眼睛。大地就如一个大煎锅，烫的能煎个鸡蛋。训练场上响起了我们嘹亮的口号声，似乎要与高挂于头顶的骄阳相抗衡。我们的汗都要流干了，衣衫也湿了，舌头也干得发苦。那铁的纪律严酷的训练就是我们的军训。

在今后的学习和生活中，我们也要保持军训中形成和表现出来的坚韧不拔的意志，坚不可摧的作风，勇往直前的英雄气概和团结互助的精神，保持高度的组织纪律性。虽然军训很辛苦、很劳累，但我们要知道，我们掠过眼角的每滴汗水，每次的辛苦、劳累，都是在为我们成功作积累。

军训不光是对体能的训练，更是对人意志的锻炼。一个人只要有坚韧不拔的毅力、坚强的意志，在学习和生活中，遇到挫折时，你才会勇敢地站起来，去迎接更大的挑战。

I’m LiHua, president of the Student Union. I’m writing to invite you to our Dragon Boat Festival celebration, which is to be held in the Lecture Hall at 14:00 next Monday.

The Duanwu or Dragon Boat Festival, generally celebrated on the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calender, falls on June 18 this year. It is one of the oldest festivals in China, with a history of more than 2,000 years. Legend holds that this festival is in memory of Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet during the Warring States Period.

In the celebration, you can enjoy a performance about that legend and watch live broadcast of dragon boat racing. In the meanwhile, varieties of Zongzi, an essential food for this unique occasion, are available, which take different shapes and various fillings. Come and join us!

It’s our duty to save the environment.

On June 5th, I will go to school by bike or on foot instead of taking the bus. And I will also ask my parents to ride bikes to work that day. At home, we will use energy-saving lamps and spend less time when we are taking a shower. Don’t throw away the used textbooks and leave them to the students of lower grades. At the same time, I will tell my parents to take bags when they go shopping. And I will turn off the lights before leaving the room.
