Mandarin cuisine is the local style of cooking in Beijing. Peking Roast
Duck is perhaps the most well-known dish. The Manhan Quanxi ("Manchu-Han Chinese

ethnic-Manchu emperors of the Qing Dynasty; it remains very prestigious and
expensive.
Teahouses are also common in Beijing. Chinese tea comes in many varieties

The Jingtailan is a cloisonné metalworking technique and tradition
originating from Beijing, and one of the most revered traditional crafts in
China. Beijing lacquerware is well known for the patterns and images carved into

Recently I spent over three hours looking, reading and enjoying the exhibits at the National Palace Museum located in the suburbs. Many local and foreign visitors go there daily to take pictures outside and spend endless hours inside. No cameras are allowed inside, but you can buy you can buy colored slides of the exhibits in the gift shop downstairs. There is a very large collection of beautiful jades. Also, there is an ancient bronze vessel exhibit. Some of the exhibits are changed regularly for special collections such as porcelain and silk paintings. My attention was mainly in the room with the wall-size slide show describing some archeological discoveries from pre-history tine. Also, the oracle bones exhibit was very good; there seemed to be an endless amount of rare, beautiful, interesting, and fascinating things.

The swimming pool is a favorite of my good friends. Sailing day afternoon, we swim in the swimming pool. Everyone take a big breath, spoiling for sink to the bottom, scrambling to get glasses. Then, we have rather than swimming. At first, everyone chants: "123!" 游泳池是我和好朋友们的最爱。航海日的下午，我们在游泳池里戏水。天气虽然很热，但是跳进游泳池里，凉爽得就像喝了冰汽水!大家做起了潜水游戏，比比谁先能捡到水底的泳镜。每个人都深吸一大口气，憋足了劲往水底沉，争先恐后地去抢眼镜。接着，我们又比起了游泳。刚开始，大家齐声喊：“123!”然后都飞快地跳进水里，你追我赶地游了起来，每个人都生怕自己变成最后一名，奋力地往前游。游累了，我们又躺进了冲浪池。冲浪池里翻滚着白色的水花，就像温泉一样暖和。有时，坐在出水口，喷涌而出的水流打到你的背上，就跟按摩一样舒服。
不知不觉游饿了，于是大家来到了自助餐厅。自助餐厅里摆着各种各样美味的甜点和水果。一位服务员阿姨教了我们制作奶茶。我们喝着自己做的奶茶，好甜好甜!最好玩的是有个好朋友吃了一盘又一盘的薯条，就像个大胃王!
