A Visit to the National Palace Museum

Recently I spent over three hours looking, reading and enjoying the exhibits at the National Palace Museum located in the suburbs. Many local and foreign visitors go there daily to take pictures outside and spend endless hours inside. No cameras are allowed inside, but you can buy you can buy colored slides of the exhibits in the gift shop downstairs. There is a very large collection of beautiful jades. Also, there is an ancient bronze vessel exhibit. Some of the exhibits are changed regularly for special collections such as porcelain and silk paintings. My attention was mainly in the room with the wall-size slide show describing some archeological discoveries from pre-history tine. Also, the oracle bones exhibit was very good; there seemed to be an endless amount of rare, beautiful, interesting, and fascinating things.

I went to three cities to play during last summer holidays. They are

Beijing, Dalian and HuHehot.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China.

It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty

minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in

Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer

Palace, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, the Space Museum, etc. I went to the

countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I

went shopping in WangFuJing. I bought lots of souvenirs and other things. I like

eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. Don’t mithe Beijing Duck. It is

really nice.

Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes

on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The

roads are clean. There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads. There are

many esplanades and Japanese buildings. There are some fountains in one of the

esplanades. Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades. We went to see

the beach and the sea. The sea is blue. There were many swimmers in the sea. I

lay on the beach to see the sky.Dalian is a very nice place to live.

Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The

grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and

sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the graland. I

picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small

desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.

These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.

Beijing has a long history . There are lots of places of interest .

Every year lots of travellers go sightseeing . Last summer holiday , I went on a trip to Beijing with my parents .

It took us two hours to go there by plane .As soon as we arrived there ,we went to visit the Palace Museum and Tian’an men Square . The next day we went to the Summer Palace . The view there was very beautiful . We tasted many famous delicious Beijing foods . such as Beijing Duck .I also bought some souvenirs for my friends .Although we felt very tired ,we enjoyed ourselves very much .

下午，三点四十分我们准时坐上了通往北京的高铁，这是我第一次坐高铁，我感觉很开心、很快乐。大约一个小时，我们到了祖国的首都北京。晚饭后，我们去参观鸟巢和水立方。鸟巢又大又圆，就像一个大摇篮，鸟巢的旁边有五颜六色的灯光，美丽极了。距鸟巢不远就是水立方，水立方方方正正，浅蓝色的，远远望去就像一块巨大的蓝宝石。姥爷说：“2008年奥运会很多比赛项目就是在鸟巢和水立方举办的。”最后，我们在鸟巢和水立方照相留念。

I like to travel, its really fun. You can go to any places you want, beautiful landscape, clearly blue sky, different cultures and lots more you can met if you go travel. Landscape shape most peoples desiry, what I mean is, there are lots of places that theyre famous because of the pretty landscape. Cultures are another. You can met different groups of people if you go travel, its really cool. I like it not only because of these several different reason, I also likes to hang out with my friends to go together and play around those beautiful places. My dream is to travel around the whole world, which, well, might not be true, because I have so many other things to do in my life, but Ill try to achieve it. I have read a story about a person named Gorden, who actually went almost all of the places in the world. I kind of like that and admire of him. I like travel, seriously I do. He went to Amazon, which therere so many snakes and aligators. A friend of his actually died in that trip!!! Its sometimes a bad thing for travel, too. Anyway, I just like to travel!! I like to met all those sorts of difficulties (I didnt mean to die!). Mountain biking is also a kind of travel, and that, I dreamed of doing it!!! Mountain biking is so cool!! Summer comes , and the weather has become irritating. My big sister suggested going to Hainan for a good relax. I thought about it for a while and agreed. Hainan is really a good place, where palm trees are abundant.

We went to a park where we enjoyed cool palm drinks. We also went to visit the monkey island. The monkeys were really cute to look at.

After we came back from the travel, we found that our bodies have become stronger and healthier than before. My sister told me that she planned to travel again next year.

We really enjoyed this trip. We were very happy!

I went Chong Qing in July 22.It is a city which was built near mountains.

So people call it Mountain City. In Chong Qing,I went to the Red Stone Center, to see the places which the prisoners lived in the past. It is a terrible and awful trip. There are a lot of dogs, and soldiers with guns near the prisons. And most of the prisons are good, they didnt want to tell the bad people where the other people were. They lived in very small houses. No good food to eat, no good water to drink.They had only twenty minutes to stay out side per day but they still said nothing.

I think they are the heros in that century. I will follow their spirit.

列车徐徐驶进北京车站，喘着粗气停下来。啊!我心驰神往的北京终于到了!北京，我来了!

“爸爸，妈妈，走，咱们赶快下车吧!”我急不可待地喊声起来。
