It took us about ten hours to fly from Beijing to Budapest, Hungary. And then we visited France, Germany, Italy and other countries. Europe was really beautiful.
The sky was blue, and the sunshine was bright. There were not so many tall buildings there as we had expected. Most of the people there were polite and friendly.
I was glad that when I spoke a little English, they all understood. After we stayed there for half a month, I began to miss my hometown. I couldnt live there for a whole life, though it was beautiful.

Opposite the Tiananmen Gate, to the north is the Gate of Devine Might (Shenwumen), which faces Jingshan Park. The distance between these two gates is 960 meters, while the distance between the gates in the east and west walls is 750 meters. There are unique and delicately structured towers on each of the four corners of the curtain wall. These afford views over both the palace and the city outside. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.
Construction of the palace complex began in 1407, the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan, a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.
Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family, it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However, there is one exception. Wenyuange, the royal library, has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.
Nowadays, the Forbidden City, or the Palace Museum is open to tourists from home and abroad. Splendid painted decoration on these royal architectural wonders, the grand and deluxe halls, with their surprisingly magnificent treasures will certainly satisfy "modern civilians".

+ 加入清单暑假去北京旅游，上了动车，就要出发去北京，心里不由得有些激动。可是天有不测风云，动车因为天气原因耽误了时辰。到了北京，虽然天已经暗了下来，但我还是无比的激动。
第二天一大早，我早早的睁开了眼睛。想到今天去的是天安门广场，我又打起了十二分的精神。洗漱完毕，吃好早饭，就上车了。到了天安门广场，虽然时间还早，却已有很多人。先瞻仰毛主席之遗容，毛主席躺在透明的水晶棺内。我们静静的走着，生拍打扰了毛主席。之后，我们又去人民大会堂。那万人礼堂真的是名不虚经传，从上面看台上的人犹如一只只细小的蚂蚁。人名大会堂还是北京最高的建筑，代表着人民的利益大于一切。
故宫，是古代皇帝居住的地方。我们走过一座又一座宫殿，领略了古代皇家的气势是多么的磅礴。正因为这样，这段行程是最累的。可见古代君王的权利是多么的伟大。之后，我们去皇家祭祀的地方——天坛。天坛的外形像皇帝的帽子，一层一层的叠上去。以前，那里女人是不能进去的。这也是古代的规矩。
第三天，我们到达了鸟巢，那复杂交错的钢条看起来真像“鸟巢”。走近鸟巢，那硕大的地方，按着一个一个的座位和一个塑胶跑道。走出鸟巢，我留下了一张一张的照片。不远处，还有水立方。外观真像是一滴滴小水滴组成的。远处，还有盘古七星酒店，那可是亚洲第而座七星级酒店。清华，北大，是每个学生都向往的地方。我也有幸目睹了它们。
“不到长城非好汉”是一直流传下来的话。长城，从秦始皇开始就修建了，它是那么的雄伟壮观。看到烽火台，我又想到了周幽王为了得到褒姒一笑，而烽火戏诸侯。结果失去了自己的国家。长城，好像盘龙卧虎一样屹立在山的脊梁上。
中国科技馆展现了中国的战争历史。从倒到手枪，手枪到机关枪，从大炮到导弹，展现着中国历史的发展。那是那么的雄伟。
北京，一个令人向往的地方，一个有着中国最高学府的地方，一个所有学生向往的地方。我爱你，北京!
