Dear Mr. Wang,

Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

Nowadays, the environment has been polluted badly, the government tries

hard to call for the public to return the world green. But every year, there are

so many incidents about the forest on fired. It is so sad for us, because it

means the environment gets worse. We must pay attention to protect the forest

and do not bring fire.

I want to be ateacher in the future, because I think teacher is a good job.

My teachers arevery good. Some of them are gentle, but some of them are not. But

I think theyall care for students very much. I want to be a good teacher like

them. I thinkI will be strict to my students in the class. But after class, I

want to betheir friend and help them in study and life. Besides, it can help me

Recently, the news reported a small boy was studying while he helped his

mother to sell the products. Many people gave him great praise, because he could

focus his attention, but their children always wanted to play. This boy is such

strong that he must make a difference in the future. His mother is so lucky to

have a boy like him.

With the rapid development of the technology，many inventions have

appeared.As a result，with the help of these inventions，our life has changed a

lot.For example，television sets.TV is my “best friend”.Every time when I leave

school and go back home，I will turn on the TV at once.I like the programme

Outlook on CCTV 10 best. It’s an English programme and it helps me learn many

English words and foreign culture.I also love the TV station called Phoenix.I

can learn a lot form Phoenix.What’s more，I can know very well about what is

I lived with my grandparents before I was six years old. I remembered all

the things when I lived with my grandpa. He is very lovely, though he is more

than 70 years old, he is never old in his heart. My grandpa is interested in all

the fashionable things, including the cellphone and the TV. He is as young as

me. I love my grandpa.

Laba is celebrated on the eighth day of the last lunar month， referring to

the traditional start of celebrations for the Chinese New Year. La in Chinese

means the 12th lunar month and ba means eight.

Legends about the origin of this festivity abound. One holds that over

3，000 years ago sacrificial rites called La were held in the twelfth lunar month

when people offered their preys to the gods of heaven and earth. The Chinese

characters for prey and the twelfth month were interchangeable then， and ever

since La has been used to refer to both.

Since the festival was held on the eighth day of the Last month， people

later appended the number eight (ba in Chinese)， giving us the current Laba

.

The majority Han Chinese have long followed the tradition of eating Laba

rice porridge on the Laba Festival. The date usually falls in mid-Janua.

My idol in my heart is liu xiang. He is the world famous athlete. In all

kinds of game， he has won 50 gold MEDALS， 13 silver and 6 bronze MEDALS.

In the 2004 Athens Olympic Games， he won the mens 110 m hurdles hurdles

world champions at a stroke， become the pride of Chinese people， but also the

pride of Asia.

Because of hard training and competition， liu xiang has left a lot of

injuries， especially tendon injury is serious. In 2008 the Olympic Games， liu

xiang as pain failed to enter the finals， I regret to quit.

He to the United States after treatment， and participated in many

international and domestic competition， repeatedly won the champion， second，

third， also broke the records.

This years London Olympic Games， liu xiang took part in the game again，

sadly he injured in the preliminaries and fell， but he stubbornly stood up， with

one leg hard to jump to the end， he occasionally to stop pain， take a deep

breath.

Although many people have criticized him， because liu xiang out of the race

but I think hes achievements and fight for the honor is the vast majority of

people cant do it. His spirit is worthy of my study.

I am in real life， whenever encounter difficulties to retreat， the thought

of liu xiang， the tenacious spirit， will inspire me to go to overcome. So， he is

my idol in my heart.

I think its very important for everyone to do sports. I like sports

because theyre not only good for my health but also good for my study. My

favorite sport is swimming. Whenever I am free， I will have a swim with my

friends in the swimming pool. After swimming，I usually feel happy and relaxed.

Whats more，Ican put more energy into my study. So lets do sports，and we will

become stronger and stronger.

Now, the robbers had a sick plan; and so they took their own gloves, and

put on a glass; after that the sun shone through it which made lots of flames in

the air like a whirl between the south, and the gate opened.

When the robbers escaped, they immediately ran to town; when everybody was

when Ali Baba quietly opened his eyes and saw him. He pretended to sleep. And

when the captain of the robbers was tired, he decided to have a rest, and rested

on the floor.

Ali Baba then got up and out a stuffed animal in there, and then got out of

bed and to the jars of oil. When he found out that in it were robbers, he began

to stamp his feet. “Is that you captain?” asked one of the robbers, “Can we come

out now?” “Yes Erik, you can come out,” but before Erik the robber lifted out

his head, Ali Baba grabbed a knife and killed Erik, and then tied the other jars

on his three mules; and threw them into the pond nearby. And so Ali Baba had

killed all of the robbers.

When morning came, the captain of the robbers woke up. When he found that

his other mates were gone, he ran away leaving his sword on the floor. With this

sword Ali Baba trained to be a knight and became richer as he grew older.

Early morning, sun farther-in-law showed smiling face, small alarm clock "

bite the bell bites bell " the ground cries, seem to saying: "Beautiful, should

get up! Should get up!!

My favorite animal is a rabbit. Its name is Dream.

Dream has two long ears. It’s very small. It’s white. It has a short tail.

It has red eyes. It likes eating carrots. It likes jumping.

I like it very much. It’s lovely. It’s my best friend. I like the

rabbit.

I used to pouring away the water directly after I using it. Someday, my

mother asked me to help her wash the clothes, as I was about to pour away the

water, my mother stopped me and she told me that most water can be recycled. It

can be used to water the flower or to wash other things. From then on, I realize

how to save water.

My best friend is WangMing. He is 12 years-old.He always play jokes with

me.I like to stay with him.It is because he can help me all the time. When I

find him say that I am sad or happy,he always listen to me and he is very kind

to me.He is very clever.He always help with my homeworks.If I have a worry and

dont know how to do he could help me.He can be a friend with everyone

Im a tall and lively boy. I like playing basketball very much because its

interesting. I like NBA, too. There are many famous stars in it. Such as Alan,

Iveson, Tim, Donken, Jordan, Kobe, ONeal and so on. Yao Ming is in the NBA,

too. Hes Chinese. He plays basketball well. Hes a center forward. Hes our

pride. All the ball stars can jump, shoot and pour in the basket. So each game

of the NBA is wonderful. Sometimes the players can perform miracles, I

think.

This years champion is Spur Team. It’s one of the strongest

contenders.

I like NBA. I love basketball.

When I was a kid, the river was very clear and beautiful, so I always

wentswimming and fishing. Recently, I discover that there is more and more

garbage around the river. Garbage doesn’t reduce even though some people are not

willing to throw that into the trash. It not only affects human health but also

destroys our beautiful environment.

My teacher told me that if people still did not protect the environment, we

would be in trouble. For example, you eat a gum, but you throw it on the road.

Some animals will die because of the gum. If some animals die, it will causesome

infectious disease. Nevertheless, there are still more and more bottles on the

beach. Some people don’t know how to protect the environment, it may make water

become poisonous. Nowadays, researchers has discovered that human will get

cancer owing to the water.

What’s worse, some factories still break the law to pollute the river in

order to get more money. They don’t know how important the water is. We use it

everywhere, and we should treasure it. Therefore, we need to try our best to

protect the environment because there is only one earth in the world. We have to

remember where the happiness comes from and also learn how to protect everything

where we live forever.
