This is the palace museum; also know as the Purple Forbidden City. It is the largest and most well reserved imperial residence in China today. Under Ming Emperor Yongle, construction began in 1406. It took 14years to build the Forbidden City. The first ruler who actually lived here was Ming Emperor Zhudi. Qing Dynasty emperors also used this place to hold audience and for other important ceremonies. For example,when the imperial army returned victoriously from the battlefield ,it was here that the Emperor presided over the ceremony to accept prisoners of war.

Above them is an attic story with Corinthian pilasters and small square window openings in alternate bays. At the top brackets and sockets carry the masts from which the velarium, a canopy for shade, was suspended.

The construction utilized a careful combination of types: concrete for the foundations, travertine for the piers and arcades, tufa infill between piers for the walls of the lower two levels, and brick-faced concrete used for the upper levels and for most of the vaults.

Friday was my lucky day. My English teacher gave me a little certificate of "learning English dolls" and an English book. I put him in a book with Chinese and mathematical rewards and pencils, and treasured them in my desk.

I never buy toys or snacks myself. Want to eat, want to play, want to see and parents say a word, buy or not buy by them to decide. I rarely play games on the computer, too.

My weakness is watching TV and playing games. Ill fix it later.

Ann is one of my friends. She is my classmate. She always dress in blue. I don’t known whether is because of her that my favorite color is blue. She is cute and naive. Our teachers always praise her in front of the class for her excellent study and great personality. I like stay with her. So does she. She likes drawing pictures. To be a painter in the future is her dream. I know she will realize her dream on day.
