i’m very glad to hear from you again. from your letter i know you want to know more about reducing learning load for primary and middle school students in china. let me tell you. before learning load was reduced, i had had to do my homework, so i could not go to bed until half past eleven; but after learning load was reduced, i can visit museums, take computer and painting lessons. at night i can read books and newspapers or watch tv. now i usually go to bed at ten. we are all like it very much.

I always dream about returning to the past. As many people say, childhood

is the happiest and easiest time in one’s life. Children show you their true

emotions.

what s your plan for dragon boat festival?

As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine s day, April Fool s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch s Day in Czech. People burned the witch s puppet so as to welcome spring. I am so looking forward to my college life. I have pictured it thousands of

the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival， everyone in the family
