一切从出行开始，我出门尽量少坐出租车，距离短的就步行，距离长的就坐公交车。我发现，一段时间后，我既节省了路费，又锻炼了身体，真可谓两全其美。

接着，就要从节水做起了。我尽量用洗衣水来清洁马桶、拖地……每次喝水，我会记着要喝多少就接多少水，绝不多接，节约饮用水资源。慢慢的，我发现，地拖得越来越干净，连我都能照的出来了。

最后，就是节电了。一到晚上，我们家就灯火通明，每个房间的灯都开着，有时，电视机前没有人，电视依旧开着，浪费了不少电。我告诉爸爸妈妈，离开房间后要随手关灯。不看电视时，记得将电视关闭，并且少用电脑。在白天，能不开灯，就不要开灯。我们一家人都那么做，我相信，我们家的电费一定会少不少的。两个月后，妈妈再去交电费时，发现少了好几度电呢!

我从网上了解到：在北京，人们为了让汽车少排出尾气，有了单双号汽车在不同日期行驶。制订了无车日，也是希望大家可以低碳生活，保护我们赖以生存的家园!

I had a great time throughout my May Day Holiday.

On Monday, I went BBQ with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. Our parents were invited to the party. Everybody was excited about the holiday. I ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On Tuesday, I went visiting my uncles family with my parents. We went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in Shanghai. Later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. We stayed for the night.

On Wednesday, I went shopping with my cousins. We bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. In the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. They also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so I tried to do some turning and parking. It was not easy first. But I learnt quick.

On Thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. I tried to get some rest. At night, I chatted with my classmates on the phone, and I watched CCTV before going to bed.

From Friday on, I started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. Some of my assignments were quite boring. After I finished the homework, I emailed them to my teachers. That was the end of it. I started to prepare things for school on this coming Monday.

All in all, I enjoyed my May Day Holiday in many ways.

Recently, the phenomenon of students pursue famous brands has become the focus of the public concern.They always do anything in order to buy what they want. What has caused this problem?It is no easy/simple task to offer the reason for this phenomenon which involves more than one complicated factor.

Firstly,there is no doubt that most of the people tend to spend almost entire life in just one familiar city.They know every street,every corner and every store.If they have something repaired,they know the right place to go.But now,everything changes in the new place.So it is hard for emigrants to adjust in physiology and psychology.What is worse,there is even no friends who can provide enough support.In this situation,naturally the instinct drives them to live with others of their own ethnic background.Because the same race always means similar diet,similar language and habit.Under the circumstances,emigrants are able to adapt to the new environment easily.Otherwise,the conflict resulting from the complete contrast certainly arises.It results in the bad influence on the quality of life.That is what we do not want to confront.Why do we desire to emigrate? We just expect to lead a better life.

Secondly,the emigrants always go with the whole family including the elder.As we all know,after retirement,it is usually that the aged chat with each other about things in the past.For them,talking about trivialities is an essential and necessary way to enjoy themselves.However,assuming that persons around them are different ethnic in the new community,how can our parents or grandparents communicate with neighbors.After all,in accordance with the statistics,over seventy percent of the elder cannot speak foreign language especially in Asia.In addition,the fact that the majority of emigrants coming from Asia is well-known.Therefore,how to help the aged avoid loneliness is a serious problem which should be solved in time.I reckon that the best way is to live with people of the same race.Thus all old men benefit from the familiar language.Or,if they have nothing to do but to stay at home all the day,the harmony of the family will be affected sooner or later.

All in all,in my opinion,the more familiar,the better.So emigrants ought to live with others of their own ethnic background.

Everyone has what happened in their school. Let me tell you something about when I first came to school.

I came from grade three, when I didnt know any of my classmates, so I was very strange when I came here. When I first came, I was in the wrong class. It was called Wang Lutong and took me back. It was fun to watch. After I returned to class, I met Mr. Zhu and my lovely classmates.

We have to wear jeans and athletic shoes for sports in that school. Its really troublesome, but what year did I know? There are two Korean schools in the school. Oh, thats awesome. Later I heard that only our school could accept it.

Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. After the study, everything here is very new to me. I study in a new environment, know a lot of new friends, learn a lot of new knowledge, and so on. At first I felt a little nervous. But now Im getting used to it. The classmates of our class are all very united, often help each other to learn, there is a collective activity, we all join. When I came to school, I felt that I was not very nervous, but more and more knowledge was needed to learn. People know that Chinese characters are very complicated and difficult to remember, so every day I work hard and I will ask the teacher where I dont understand. 上的学后，这里的一切对我来说都很新颖。我在全新的环境里学习，认识了很多新朋友，学习了很多新的知识等等。一开始我觉得有点紧张。但是现在我已经逐渐适应了。我们班的同学们都很团结，常常互相帮助学习，有什么集体的活动，我们都参加。刚入学时，我觉得学习不太紧张，但是现在需要学习的知识越来越多。人们都知道汉字很复杂，很难记，所以每天我很努力学习，有不懂的地方我会问老师。我觉得大学的学习与高中的学习不一样，因为高中，我们学生常常被动学习，但是在大学，我们主要是自学。没有老师提醒你学习。如果不学习你就会落后。

上大学后，对我来说印象追深刻的是图书馆。我学校的图书馆很大，也很漂亮。这里有各种各样的书，也很安静。所以每天下课，我都到那里学习，看书。我学校还有大大的体育场。每天下午，我都会跟朋友去那锻炼身体。比如打篮球，散布等等，感觉很轻松。

大学期间，我只有半天的上课时间，所以我用剩下的时间打工赚钱用来增长经验。大学期间，除学习外还可以参加社团活动，这很有益与我们帮助别人，因为我们都是热血青年。

学习在大学不仅学习知识，而我可以学习经验。我希望四年学习在大学可以使我更长大。

然而在大学生活的画卷铺开时，我发现在寻寻寻觅觅的尽头，并不都是以往心里的“那人却在灯火阑珊处”的喜悦。梦里寻他千百度，却是犹抱琵琶半遮面。这个时侯，我迷茫过，徘徊过，然而时间从不会停下它的脚步，正向朱自清写的那样“洗手的时候，日子从水盆里过去；吃饭的时候，日子从饭碗里过去；默默时，便从凝然的双眼前过去。我觉察他去的匆匆了……”是啊！时间如流水，而我们的人生还有很多要做的事，为了梦想，让我们珍惜时光，从现在开始一点一滴的积累吧！让我们的大学生活变得更加充实、丰富、有节奏。

Military training is hard and during the training, students can stand the hard time, so they can get used to the life coming to them.

军训能够培养学生们坚强的意志。大部分学生在来到学校前都是和父母住在一起，受到父母的保护，他们没有太多的生活经验。军训是苦的，在这期间，学生能够忍受艰难的时光，因此他们能适应即将到来的校园生活。

一、人际关系

在大学生活期间，提高自己的思想修养，学好文化知识固然重要，但处理好人际关系也是成长过程中的必修课。

如果人际关系处理得当，把主要精力用在学习上，可以在心情舒畅的情况下轻松度过自己的大学时光。如果人际关系处理的不够恰当，往往会给学习和日常生活带来不必要的烦恼，甚至影响健康性格的形成。

现在的大学生大多数是在顺境中长大的独生子女。在中小学时期，由于学习成绩优秀，家长的关爱，老师的呵护，同学的羡慕，容易养成以自我为中心的性格。升入大学以后，远离家乡，性格依旧，受点挫折在所难免。大学生一方面涉世不深、缺乏人际交往经验，另一方面社会又是复杂的。一部分大学生既有与同学交往的愿望，却又不知如何沟通，很难与人成为知心朋友；有的则因性格原因，带来交往中的矛盾与冲突；有了矛盾又不知怎样化解矛盾和解决矛盾，往往使矛盾升级；由于同学之间正常沟通较少，又容易引发隔膜、误解与猜疑。这一切对于身心发育处于关键期的大学生来讲，极其不利。久而久之，妨碍了正常的人际交往，甚至性格发生扭曲。

当遇到挫折或磨难的时候，虽然会使人沮丧或不愉快，但应该正确对待。挫折和磨难可以锻炼出坚强健康的性格，对性格的形成是十分有利的；如果在挫折和磨难面前一蹶不振，那是十分不可取的。因为在挫折和磨难中接受的教训要比在顺境中获得的经验要深刻的多。这对学会人际交往，对融于学校、融于社会也是必需的。

大学生应该怎样做人，怎样成为有用的人？这首先需要加强自身的道德修养。大千世界，芸芸众生，性格各异，大学生要有容人的雅量。要严于律己，宽厚待人。不念人恶，不责人过。大学生不仅要有渊博的知识，还要有心底无私天地宽的胸怀，有清水出芙蓉，天然去雕饰的自信，有己所不欲，勿施于人的豁达，有不以物喜，不以己悲的淡定。

二、贫困生

在大学校园里，贫困生是一个特殊的群体。为了完成学业，肩负着家乡父老的热切期望，他们比其他大学生面临更大的压力。贫困生的思想状况大体上可分为两种类型。一种是积极进取型。穷则益坚，不坠青云之志。这类同学的素质较高，性格开朗，自尊自强，在大学生中有较高的威信。无论思想品质，还是学业成绩，都是大学生中的佼佼者。

另一种是消极封闭型。这类大学生不多，多数来自偏远地区。在高中阶段他们无疑是优秀的，进入大学之后，他们很快发现自己在高中时期的学业优势已荡然无存，而面临的是一种学习成绩一般甚至降为差等生的严峻局面，心中充满失落感。由于家庭的贫困，自我保护心理比较严重，导致他们自我封闭，性格沉默孤傲，不愿与人交谈，不愿参加集体活动，对周围的评价、对与己有关的事情比较敏感和偏激，总感觉自己处于被屈辱的地位。耻于承认贫困的心态，甚至不愿接受困难资助。他们的自尊与自卑共存，既理智又偏激。个别学生的心理长期处于亚健康状态，情绪波动较大，对挫折的忍耐性较差，容易走极端。

对这类大学生应该给予更多的关爱。帮助他们走出心灵的误区。以诚挚的关怀和热忱的感情去感染他们，使其思想认识得到升华。以往的互相关心互相爱护的好传统应发扬光大，应与贫困生交知心朋友，学生之间应有和谐友好的气氛。开展丰富多彩的校园文化生活，启迪他们善良美好的心灵。学校应创造条件让贫困生参加各种形式的收入相对稳定的勤工助学活动，使他们能筹足学费、生活费，解除后顾之忧，完成大学学业。这要比直接给予助学资金的效果好得多。在勤工助学的过程中，他们有一种自食其力的自豪感，压抑的心灵会得到舒展，同时也增强了克服困难的决心和勇气。学校在给予助学资金时，也不宜张扬，使他们保持应有的自尊。

天将降大任于斯人也，必先苦其心志，劳其筋骨，饿其体肤，空乏其身，行拂乱其所为，所以动心忍性，曾益其所不能1 。贫困生应调整心态，敞开心扉，加强人际交往，融于校园集体之中，以积极的态度面对人生。

三、就业与创业

大学生刚一踏进大学校门，可能就在考虑毕业以后的就业问题。同学之间也时常谈论起这个问题。大学毕业后能否顺利就业，这是个人问题，更是民生问题，关系着千家万户，关系着国家的和谐与稳定。

现在的就业难主要是结构性就业难。不是没有就业岗位，也不是没有人才，而是人才与就业岗位不能匹配。高校在发展定位、专业设置、课程确定等方面上还不能完全适应社会发展对高素质人才的需求，缺乏针对性。在教学大纲的制定上，既应该为学生的继续深造打下坚实的理论基础，又应该学以致用，加强实践环节，锻炼实践能力，使毕业生尽快适应未来的工作岗位。

大学生也应该主动改变就业观念。树立正确的择业观。大学毕业后希望得到社会的承认，展示自己的才华，实现自身价值，这无可厚非，这也是成就事业的心理基础。可国家每年的应届大学毕业生有几百万，自己只不过是沧海一粟。应该摆正自己的位置，期望值不应过高。越是艰苦的地方，越能锻炼造就人。现在很多人仍然认为上了大学就有应该进大型国企。期望值过高，理想与现实有距离，这也是导致就业困难的一个原因。

大学生创业意识还需培养和引导。这种意识应该在学校受教育的过程中，潜移默化而逐渐形成。大学生创业是一个渐进的过程，不能好高骛远。对于有志于创业的学子们来讲，首次创业即使失败了也不要紧，因为在创业过程中得到的历练与磨难是参加任何其他工作无法获得的，也是书本上无论如何也是学不到的，这种历练将会受益终生。

毋庸讳言，女大学生的就业不容乐观。她们受到一定程度的性别歧视：一是受传统观念的影响；二是女性生育哺乳期的存在使得劳动时间出现间断，这是部分用人单位出于本单位利益最大化考虑少招或者不招女性的主要原因2 。作为用人单位，也应该充分理解国家目前面临的就业压力，为国家排忧解难，勇敢地承担起自己应尽的社会责任。

当代大学生是国家的未来和希望，愿他们不负众望，健康成长，成为将来建设国家的有生力量。

In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. Only after experiencing those can I know what society is like, and what life is like.

To conclude my speech, I wanna say, some positive experiences are surely part of the ideal college life. But, I should not forget about the negative sides. They are not less necessary.
