Being a student is hard work, but studying makes you a useful person and it is also full of joys when you are ahead of your classmates in all subjects.

This summer, I was very happy. Although I didnt go out to travel. But my friends and me to a nursing home to help old people.In a nursing home, we introduce myself after, began to work for the old people. First of all, we first points groups. Some go to sweeping the floor, others to help old people back on, some with old people, and my sorrows and other friends to help the old man sun wash the quilt.We started, we use the washing powder on the old people on the quilt, rub with the brush and rub, very tired. 这个暑假,我非常开心.虽然我没有出去旅游。但是我和朋友们到养老院去帮助老人们。到了养老院,我们自我介绍了后,就开始为老人们做事了。首先,我们先分了组。有的去扫地,有的去帮老人们捶背,有的陪老人们解闷,而我和其他的朋友帮老人晒洗被子。我们开始了,我们用洗衣粉洒在老人们的被子上,用刷子搓了又搓,很累。我体会到了妈妈的辛苦。接着,我们就晒被子了。我们在养老院待了一个下午,和老人道别后,我决定以后多帮父母做家务。

Now, the summer holiday is coming to the end. I really spend a rich but happy holiday. As a junior student, I am not totally free in the summer holiday, because study is still an important part in my life. In the first month of the holiday, I study at home to finish my homework. There are many tasks I have to finish. Besides, I have to go to the English and mathtraining class, because I am weak inthe two subjects. Therefore, I need some extra training. After that, I visit to my father with my mother. My father works in other province and I have not seen him for half a year. My mother and I miss him very much. We spend near a month with him.When my father is free, he often takes us go out. We are happy together.

现在，暑假就要结束了。我真正度过了一个丰富又快乐的假期。作为一名初中生，我的暑假并不是完全自由的，因为学习仍然是我生活中的一个重要部分。假期的第一天，我待在家完成作业。我有很多作业要完成。除此之外，我还要去英语和数学培训班，因为我这两科比较弱。因此，我需要一些额外的训练。之后，我就和妈妈一起去看爸爸。我爸爸在外省上班，我有半年没见过他了。妈妈和我都很想念他。我们和爸爸在一起度过了将近一个月。爸爸有空的时候经常带我们出去。我们在一起生活得很快乐。

美好就是用一幕幕文质彬彬的行动、场景来使我们自身、生活更加完美。而这些行动就是在别人帮助你时说一声“谢谢”;在不小心碰到别人时说一声“对不起”;在向别人求助时说一声“请”……

这些简单的话语背后，是人类所群居的城市或地区的气脉，她滋润着山川河流，也滋养着每一个人的心田，只有让这一言一行，点点滴滴汇聚起来，形成如江河绵长，似湖海浩瀚之势，才能打造出一个城市的亮丽名片，才能构建出一个和谐文明的城市环境。

我对上海世博了解很多：

上海世博会的会徽是以中国汉字“世”字书法创意为形，“世”字图形寓意三人合臂相拥，表达了世博会“理解、沟通、欢聚、合作”的理念。

上海世博会吉祥的海宝，寓意“四海之宝”，他正用热情的双臂，自信的微笑迎接来自世界各地的朋友，海宝以“蓝”为主色，蓝色表现了海洋、未来、科技等元素，符合主办城市的特点，也契合了上海世博会“城市，让生活更美好”的主题。

除此之外，我还知道上海世博会是参观者看文化、看科技、看发展、看创意的良机。

看文化，世博会是文化交流的盛会——创新的建筑、精彩的演出、智慧的对话。

看科技，世博会是科技展览的舞台——科学的发明、技术的创造、文明的结晶。

看发展，世博会是感知未来发展的样板——超前的理念、最佳的实践、未来的感知。

看创意，世博会是激发智慧、创意的平台——发展的源泉、行进的动力、人类的希望。

文明如春雨，润物无声，礼仪像春风吹暖人心。让每一个人都成为有礼仪修养的人，人人有礼，时时讲礼，处处习礼。这样，我们的城市才会让生活更美好。

When someone disagrees with you or offends you, don’t lose your temper. Why? Because it is of no use to do so. You ought to (should) be patient and keep calm lest you should quarrel with him. You must know that patience is not cowardice, but a virtue. I hope that everybody practices it.

In addition, patience will also bring us success. When you meet with difficulties in your work, it is no use losing heart. You must keep on fighting until (till) the final victory belongs to you.
