网站的火爆是他所没想到的，更令他没想到的是自己会因网站而成名，在他60岁的花甲之年。为了创建那个网站，他花费了20年的时间和全部的存款，他身边的朋友和家人却几乎没有人觉得，那是一件有意义的工作。20年的时间很漫长，在漫长的时间长河里，他一个人在寂寞中坚持着……

他就是理查德·希尔斯(RichardSears)，家住美国田纳西州的一位普通老人。38年前，当希尔斯突发奇想开始学中文时，这个物理系的大学生只是希望了解那些说别的语言的人会如何思考、交流。他来到了台湾，在街头拼命跟人聊天，并且在那里结识了自己后来的妻子。

Calligraphy is the essence of Chinese culture, which has developed into a special high-level art apart from satisfying the needs of daily writing. 时过境迁，几载春秋我便已经成为了一名高中生。我很庆幸，也很感谢那时的自己足够努力，朝着理想不断迈进，冲出牢笼，挣脱枷锁，改变成见，终于有机会在桃源县第一中学就读。而这里的学习环境相较于以前着实是云泥之别，齐整的水磨石地砖，坚固的桌椅，大气的窗户，雪白的天花板，错落有致的线路管道等等，更令人惊讶的是那些先进的多媒体设备，授课方式的极大革新。我所看到的不仅是城乡发展差距，更是这短短几年内科学技术的高速发展，基础建设的火热开展以及教育制度的革故鼎新。正是因为我自身的成长和国家的发展，我才能拥有更好的学习环境，得到更优质的教育资源，见识到前所未有的新鲜事物，跳出狭窄的小圈子，奔赴更光明的未来。
