Thank you for taking time to read this letter. As the problem of food safety has been becoming worse and worse nowadays, I am obliged to write to you.

Several days ago, one of my classmates came back from supermarket with a large bag of food. Because of having found a new style of tinned?ish in the food store, she was very glad. Several other roommates were invited to enjoy the “mouth?atering chicken”. Unfortunately, after finishing the food, all of my three friends had stomachaches and vomited, their faces having become paler and paler. Due to sensitivity to that kind of tinned food, I escaped that suffer. At that time, my mind went blank. I dialed the emergency number with my trembling hand, therefore they were quickly sent to hospital. The doctor said they were lucky to be out of danger because they did not eat too much of that rotten fish and were hospitalized on time.

This is the matter that happened around me which made me realize the seriousness of the food safety problem. I sincerely hope that the whole society could attach much importance to this issue.

In modern society we are often sorry to see that people are reluctant to

help others out, not to mention helping a stranger; offering a helping hand

seems to be out of accord with the times.

Then what’s wrong with our society? Some people may say that facing

skyrocketinghousing prices, expensive medical expenditure and soaring commodity

prices, they have no choice but to struggle to make a living, and thus it would

be impossible to spare a hand to help others because it may bring them into

trouble. Therefore, standing by indifferently is their only choice.

However, is it necessary to be selfish in order to survive, or in order to

ensure that people do not take advantage of you? In my opinion, helping others

brings a strong sense of accomplishment. What’s more, the evaluation criteria

for judging one individual’s success should be modified so that offering a

There are many arguments about the advantages and disadvantages of examinations. Some people think that examinations can help them review the lessons regularly, while others maintain that too many examinations have frustrated them.

To me, I think an examination is a good thing for both teachers and students. Teachers can find out how much the students have grasped and then improve their teaching; students, on the other hand, will learn what their weak points are and then study even harder.

All in all, we should not waste time arguing whether examinations are good or not. What we should do is to try to improve the exam system and try to adjust it to our different requirements.

Ambition is the decision one makes and the resolution with which he carries out that decision. It provides us with the required driving force to accomplish any undertakings in our life. John Milton, stimulated always by his ambition that aimed at writing some “mighty lines” which England would unwillingly forget, had in due time secured his position as the second Shakespeare in the history of English literature.

In the second place, ambition can bring one’s potentials to the full. Ambition may well serve as a catalyst activating one’s dormant potentials. Without ambition one’s potentials will remain slumbering like a dormant volcano. A case in point is Ms Zhang Haidi, a Chinese Helen Keller. It was her ambition to be a useful person has turned the almost paralyzed Zhang Haidi into a well-accomplished figure whose achievements would dwarf those of some normal people aim at the sun, though, at worst, they may probably land on the moon.

Influential as it is upon us, however, ambition must be channeled in the right direction. If wrongly directed, one’s ambition may bring havoc on him and others. Hitler, whose ambition was to conquer Europe by whattever evil means, finally turned him into a demon. It was this demon that almost cast Europe into an unfathomable abyss of anguish and suffering. Another case is Macbeth whose ambition was to become the king of Scotland. However, his ambition was materialized by the murder of King Duncan. Consequently, unbearable guilt and psychological agony drove him to his tragic doom.

To sum up, ambition can benefit us tremendously if wisely and correctly channeled, otherwise it may ruin others and ourselves. A poet says: life can be bad; life can be good; life can be dirty; life can be sad,; life can even be painful. In my mind’s eye, a person can make his life beautiful, meaningful and rewarding and stand out as a respectable personage if he is motivated by a well-orientated ambition.

刚来桃源读书的时候，学校周围还没那么多的高楼大厦，学校大门根本称不上大门，只有较窄小的一扇校门，要容纳全校一千多人进出，实属拥挤。学校门口小路似羊肠小道，两辆汽车不可并排而行，周围砖瓦平房、枯树杂草，如乡野村舍。

而今，学校四周高楼耸立，鳞次栉比，美轮美奂。学校大门虽称不上气势恢宏也可谓简约大气。门前道路扩修，已宽敞无比，数辆大卡车并排而行也没有丝毫问题。周遭树木修整，屋舍俨然，可谓桃花源矣。

前几日，我刚去访沅陵新建不久的太安新区----专门为贫困户修建的安置小区，大家开玩笑地说“北有雄安，南有太安”。

在这里处处水泥地板，阡陌交通，楼房高大，黄白相间，有亭台楼阁、超市医院，童稚相乐，佝偻欢谈，绿树成荫，彩旗飘扬，从所有人的脸上都看不见贫困的烦恼，只有异地搬迁的喜悦。只有在中国，穷人才会有如此之好的待遇吧。

祖国如今已七十二岁，不必说这整个七十二年，单是在我成长的这十几年中就已见证太多的不凡，与国偕行，与国共进。从现金钞票到微信支付，从慢慢游到小汽车，从低矮的平房到气派的高楼，在这最好的时代，无所谓报国无门，无所谓怀才不遇，只要敢想敢做，就可能实现。

对祖国的赞颂不需要华丽的词藻，只需用朴实无华的文字记录下我与祖国的共同成长的经历!

每个人都有自己的梦想，我也不例外。有的人长大想当科学家;有的人想当作家;还有的人想当发明家……我的梦想呢，就是当一名像杨利伟那样勇敢、伟大的宇航员。

记得我6岁过年的时候，爸爸曾给我买过一种烟花，我特别喜欢。那是一种圆柱形的烟花，只要点燃导线，不一会儿就带着金色的光芒飞上天，随着噼里啪啦的响声，出现一道优美的弧线。爸爸笑着问我：“王晨冉，你长大了会当宇航员，驾驶真正的火箭吗?”我想了一会儿，回答道：“会的，我一定会成为一名伟大的宇航员!”

我非常佩服杨利伟叔叔勇敢的精神，因为他是我们中国第一个乘坐火箭在宇宙遨游的人，更是我们中国人的骄傲!再说，火箭上升的速度非常快，可比儿童乐园的阿拉伯飞毯、蹦极刺激多了!杨利伟叔叔要想登上火箭，那得经过多少刻苦的训练呀!而且那些训练都是对人体承受能力极限的考验，但是杨利伟叔叔并没有退缩，还是勇敢地登上了火箭，圆满地完成了祖国交给的光荣任务。从此我心里就生出来了一个念头：要争取给航天事业作出贡献!

我曾幻想：自己走进火箭，激动地听着火箭发射时的报数声，操控着火箭遨游在湛蓝的太空。或站在另一个星球上眺望人类和动物共同的家，那种滋味是无法描述的!

如果我的身体条件不够，我也不会气馁，因为我还可以在其他方面给航天事业作出贡献呀!我一定好好学习，争取给航天事业作出力所能及的事!

我的习惯(My Habbits)

I have many bad habits, but there is one always makes me upset. I like nodding off in class. Nearly everyone will have this bad habit in summer. But I will nod off in every class and every season. Usually, I will nod off when the class begins about ten minutes. I hate this. I have tried my best to correct it. But I failed in the end. This habit troubles me lot.

After going to the middle school, I have less time to play outside the school, because I always have a lot of homework to do. Though my leisure time is shorter, I still keep on after-class reading. Many years ago, my Chinese teacher introduced many classic books to us, I bought them and read them all, I fell in love with reading these books, I would be immerged in the stories. Reading these books helps me a lot, I have improved my writing skill. When I saw the topics, my mind will come out a lot of ideas, I have things to enrich my paper. Whats more, I also broaden my vision.

More and more people have become aware of the significance of work efficiency. What does workefficiency mean?First of ali, it means working without any waste of time. A person with efficiency can produce more things in less time. In addition, work efficiency is closely linked with better quality of work results.

Many people are interested in improving their work efficiency because it can bring a lot of benefits both to an individual and to the society.The most obvious benefit of work efficiency is that a person can use the time saved to do a lot of other valuable things.For example, a student who studies with high efficiency can win time to read more books, and to be engaged in more activities. Another benefit is that a person who works efficiently can have more leisure time to enjoy life. He can do whatever he likes to do in his leisure time, such as listening to music,going to movies, shopping, and touring.

High efficiency in work will undoubtedly lead to the great increase of output and the improvement of the quality of products, which will, in turn, contribute to the development and the prosperity of the society.

Enthusiastic people can turn a boring drive into an adventure, extra work into opportunity and strangers into friends."Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm," wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson. It is the paste that helps you hang in there when the going gets tough. It is the inner voice that whispers, "I can do it!" when others shout, "No, you can’t."

It took years and years for the early work of Barbara McClintock, a geneticist who won the 1983 Nobel Prize in medicine, to be generally accepted. Yet she didn’t let up on her experiments.
