world of his thoughts. Thus the best books are treasuries of good words, the

golden thoughts, which, remembered and cherished, become our constant companions

and comforters.

Books possess an essence of immortality. They are by far the most lasting

products of human effort. Temples and statues decay, but books survive. Time is

of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first

passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought

still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of

time have been to sift out the bad products; for nothing in literature can long

survive e but what is really good.

Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence

of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we

Now I am in winter holiday, I am so happy, I can have fun with my friends. My friends and I make the deal that when the wind comes, we will go to the park and fly kites. Today the wind finally comes, after finishing breakfast, I go the park with my friends. We take out our kites, mine are butterfly, my friends are birds, all are so funny. I start to let my kite fly, but it could not, so I run faster and faster, then my kite flies, I go let go it gradually. A few minutes later, my friends’ kites are also flying. In recent years, Sinology, the study of Chinese traditional culture, literature, history, society etc, has become increasingly popular  For instance, it is reported that many primary and secondary schools have set up courses of sinology, in which students are taught classical works by Chinese ancient educators and philosophers, like Confucius- Another good illustration is in the program CCTV Lecture Room famous scholars, eg, Yu Dan, give lectures on Chinese ancient philosophies and literatures.

Sinology becomes prevalent due to the fact that it is of vital significance for both the individuals and the society. For one thing, Sinology is the essence of Chinese civilization with more than 5,000 years. Thus, for individuals, they can enlarge their scope of knowledge , enrich their experience and adapt themselves to the complicated society. For another, it is acknowledged that the rehabilitation of Sinology can contribute to the establishment of a harmonious society.

In my opinion, all Chinese people should inherit the merits of Sinology. To do so, we can read books by ourselves or to attend lectures on this issue. Besides, we have the obUgation to popularize introducing it to the world By doing so, we can not only inherit it but also make it glorious and prosperous.

How long has it been since you had the feeling of being moved ? Do you feel grateful when you taste the delicious food your mother prepares for you ? On Teacher’s Day, do you say “Thank you teachers” from the bottom of your heart, or just do it as others do ?

In the West, there is Thanksgiving Day. People invented this festival to be grateful for what they gained, because no one could be happy or successful without the help from others. Though our country don’t have Thanksgiving Day, we should be grateful hourly.

If the grateful full of your heart ,you will be happy everyday. Life’s happiness is to be convinced we are loved. A telephone from parents, a criticism from teacher, a exhortation from friend, a competition from opponent and so on. All this are the foundation of mature for us.

We must learn to be grateful, otherwise , we will be apathetic, can’t notice the love from others. Only have the heart of be grateful, we can understand how to love others and how to repay our society.

EQ stands for the high social ability for people while IQ means the ability in academic study. There is an interesting situation that the smart person who has the high IQ while his EQ will be in the opposite. There are many classic images in the screen, like the characters in the TV series The Big Bang Theory. It tells about four clever scientists are treated as freaks, the ordinary person can’t understand their words, so the four scientists don’t have the social skill. Their neighbor, a girl who is pretty but with simple mind, makes connection with them. When they communicate, the girl can’t follow the idea of her strange neighbors. It seems that less people are both high EQ and high IQ. If I can choose, I prefer to have high EQ, because we need to make connection with others, if we do it well, then we can succeed.
