slowly on a dark night. After some time he noticed a car following him. It was

travelling very fast. Suddenly it overtook his car.

The driver of the car was in a hurry. He did not see the approaching lorry.

The picture shows the pollution caused by chimneys of the factories in cities. Often, the sky is covered by large clouds of smoke from chimneys. The air is nearly suffocating, especially in the evening as it becomes cold and the smoke is spreading everywhere. The scene reminds us of the end of the world.

From the picture we can infer that the drawer of the picture intends to convey to the readers that unplanned factories has brought about great hazards to the city air condition. And the river has been seriously polluted,n be seen from the color of it. Along this "black" river, there area few people selling fresh water which must have been taken from far away places.

As time goes by, man is making the earth sick. People cut down too many trees and leave rubbish everywhere. Factories let out their waste without doing anything to it . This has caused some serious problems. Such as the land is sandy, the river is dirty, the air is less clean, even the temperature of the earth is rising. What should we do to save the earth ?
