二、造句方面：句式要准确而多变，活用复合句

简单句用得太多，会造成文章读起来乏味。在评卷员看来，同样意思的内容，能够运用比较复杂的句式结构来表达，当然会认为其运用语言的能力要比只会用简单句来表达要强，评分自然就高。

1、巧用非谓语动词

运用非谓语动词，可使文句看起来更简洁，使语言更加丰富多彩，重点更加突出，增加文采。如：

2、巧用with复合结构

3、巧用复合句

My name is Fang Yu, 11 years old this year, grade five.

I have long hair, thin eyebrows below the mosaic of a pair of glossy black eyes, slender figure. My hobbies are playing guzheng and painting. But my biggest hobby is reading and playing chess. Let me first talk about the book bar.

Books are an essential part of my life. I love reading, and sometimes Im crazy about it. Mom said I was a little bookworm. Once, I was reading a book, watching it, my mother asked me to go downstairs to buy sugar. I was seeing a joke and laughing. I later learned that my mother asked me to go downstairs to buy things, and I hurried to buy them. I bought a book again. Mother asked: How did you buy salt? I was so careless!

The next thing is to say chess. When I feel bored, I play chess with my brother. If a tie, I will come here again. If I win, I jump three feet high. If I lose, Ill go to the heart of my happy pet guzheng.

I should say my happy pet, I learned the guzheng for two and a half years, the play is good, the competition still won the two prize! Envy? Painting does not say.

下面该说象棋了，当我觉得无聊时，就和弟弟下棋。如果打成平局，我还要再来一次。要是我赢了，我一蹦三尺高。要是我输了，我就找我的快乐宠物古筝谈(弹)心去了。

该说我的快乐宠物了，我学古筝两年半，弹的还不错，比赛中还得了二等奖呢!羡慕吗?画画就不说了。

Oceans becoming more acidicThe worlds oceans are slowly getting more acidic, say scientists.The researchers from California say the change is taking place in response to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.The lowering of the waters pH value is not great at the moment but could pose a serious threat to current marine life if it continues, they warn.Ken Caldeira and Michael Wickett, from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, report their concerns in the journal Nature.Increasing use of fossil fuels means more carbon dioxide is going into the air, and most of it will eventually be absorbed by seawater.

Once in the water, it reacts to form carbonic acid.Scientists believe that the oceans have already become slightly more acidic over the last century.But these researchers have tried to predict what will happen in the future by combining what we know about the history of the oceans with computer models of climate change."This level of acidity will get much more extreme in the future if we continue releasing CO2 into the atmosphere," said Dr Caldeira."And we predicted amounts of future acidity that exceed anything we saw over the last several hundred million years, apart from perhaps after rare catastrophic events such as asteroid impacts."If carbon dioxide release continues unabated, ocean pH could be reduced by as much as 0.77 units, the authors warn.It is not absolutely clear what that means for marine life, however.

Most organisms live near the surface, where the greatest pH change would be expected to occur, but deep-ocean lifeforms may be more sensitive to pH changes.Coral reefs and other organisms whose skeletons or shells contain calcium carbonate may be particularly affected, the team speculate. They could find it much more difficult to build these structures in water with a lower pH.In recent years some people have suggested deliberately storing carbon dioxide from power stations in the deep ocean as a way of curbing global warming.But Dr Caldeira said that such a strategy should now be re-considered."Previously, most experts had looked at ocean absorption of carbon dioxide as a good thing - because in releasing CO2 into the atmosphere we warm the planet; and when CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, it reduces the amount of greenhouse warming.

The generation gap is unavoidable in almost every family, which brings

about a number of conflicts in a family. In my opinion, to limit the bad effects

of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

meantime, once old people realize young people are nurtured in a new modern way,

it is easy for them to be tolerant of young people’s new habits or hobbies.

Secondly, people of each generation should not develop a very high feeling

about themselves. In order to do that, they should not think that they are the

only right people in their family because each person has his or her own

limitations. Teenagers would realize that their parents have to struggle with

pain to support them financially, and they would stop rebelling their

strictness. Parents would realize that their children’s new style does no harm

to their studies and stop imposing their own unsuitable standards on their

children.

Finally, the generation gap and its bad effects can be limited if all

members cooperate to build up a close-knit family relationship and a harmonious

atmosphere in which they are open and tolerant of each other. I strongly believe

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

interference by the generation gap.
