男子扶老人被诬陷事件发生在2013年12月31日，河源东源漳溪46岁街坊吴大哥扶起了一位摔倒在路边的老人周老汉，没想吴大哥反而被老人家属讹上，要求赔偿几十万元。1月2日，吴大哥一气之下选择投塘自杀，以证清白。
