诚信最珍贵 每天放学，我都要路过宝小门口的小卖部，看看今天里边有什么新鲜玩意儿。有一天 ，我忽然发现小店的货架上出现了个我一直梦寐以求的悠悠球，它发出耀眼的光芒，外壳是金黄色的，里面的绿色的，绚丽的外壳上还写着“光子精灵”四个小字。就是它!我拿着它爱不释手地抚摸着。

这时，小店老板走过来对我说：“喜欢吗?这个悠悠球原价要二十六元，最低二十三元卖给你。”我摸摸口袋，发现只有二十元钱，老板见我十分渴望得到这个悠悠球，就对我说：“那好吧，你先付二十元把它拿走，下次记得还我三元哟!”我喜出望外地答应道：“好的!”我交了钱，一边笑，一边玩，一边高高兴兴地回家了。

然而后来我就将此事忘在了脑后，直到过了几天想起时，我便想，这么长时间了，可能老板自己也忘记了吧。带着这种侥幸的心理，从此每次路过宝小门口，我都避开走，更不敢去跟老板还三元钱。然而我的举动引起了妈妈的注意，妈妈好象看透了我的心思，问我：“你怎么了呀?以前你不是都要没事去店里面看看有没有喜欢的小玩意吗?现在怎么看都不看了?”我立即低下头对妈妈说：“啊、噢，我上次买了一个悠悠球，差了老板三元钱没有不还。。。”我半天才说出了原因，妈妈赶紧给我钱让我现在就去还。

还钱后，我觉得心里舒服极了，我感觉做人一定要做一个诚实守信的人，相倍别人，也相信自己!

The Father and His Son

Father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarrelling among themselves. He next unclosed the faggot, and took the sticks separately, one by one, and again put them into their hands, on which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words: "My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are divided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks."

一位父亲有几个孩子，这些孩子时常发生口角。他丝毫没有办法来劝阻他们，只好让他们看看不合群所带来害处的例子。为了达到这个目的，有一天他叫他们替他拿一捆细柴来。当他们把柴带来时，他便先后地将那捆柴放在每一个孩子的手中，吩咐他们弄断这捆柴。他们一个个尽力去试，总是不能成功。

然后他解开那捆柴，一根根地放在他们手里，如此一来，他们便毫不费力地折断了。于是他就告诉他们说：「孩子们!如果你们大家团结一致，互相帮助，你们就像这捆柴一样，不能被你们的敌人折断;但如果你们自行，你们就将和这些散柴一般，不堪一折了。
