In the United States, pranks are played on just about everybody. Pranks range from the standard "Your shoe is untied", to some very creative and elaborate ideas. The only "rule" is that no one should be harmed. The best jokes are when everybody including the victim laughs.

Gulangyu — A fairyland in the world

Gulangyu is a small island of Xiamen. It’s like a garden on the water. Cars and buses are not allowed to drive there, which makes the island so quiet that music played on the piano and violin can be heard.

Here the sky and the sea clearly meet on the horizon. When standing at the top of the Sunshine Rock, you can see much of the landscape of Xiamen, and when standing at its foot, you can gaze at the beautiful garden that surrounds it.

Gulangyu produces bananas, coconuts, sugar cane and so on. The people here, warm, simple and hardworking, are making every effort to make the island more beautiful and they hope to welcome more visitors in the future.

今天下午，我们班的班主任朱老师让我们看了一部影片——《天堂回信》。

影片主要讲述了爸爸、妈妈出国了，晨晨是一个非常活泼可爱的小男孩，他和爷爷快快乐乐地生活着。后来妈妈回国了，改变了爷爷和晨晨的生活，晨晨感到十分不开心。

这部影片让人十分感动，影片中最让我感动的是晨晨给爷爷过生日这个片断。晨晨给爷爷买了一张漂漂亮亮的生日卡，妈妈也给爷爷买了一个非常好吃的大蛋糕和一束美丽的鲜花。爷爷要让晨晨开心，就和晨晨一起去放风筝，爷爷因为劳累过度，使心脏病复发，就平静地去世了，便去了"天堂".后来晨晨给爷爷写了一封信，他用风筝把这封信"寄"给了天堂的爷爷，他希望爷爷能给他回信。看到这里我禁不住流下了感动的眼泪。我们班的许多女生都哭了。因为她们和我有着同样的感受，她们同样都被晨晨的行为感动了。

看完影片我懂得了长辈是多么关心我们爱护我们呀！我要从头做起，自己的事自己做，不让爸爸、妈妈劳累；我还要多读书，多学本领，不让爸爸、妈妈操心；我还要尊敬长辈，长大才能成为有用之才来报答长辈对我们的无尽关爱。
