In my opinion, it would be much better to stay at home, for I can do what I like, such as reading books, watching TV, and helping my parents with the housework.

她从小生活在另一个国度，受到的是西方式教育。在国外，她曾听到过许多外国人对中国人的文明礼仪程度侃侃而谈，批判中国人在公共场所用餐时太吵闹，或者是随地乱扔垃圾，不习惯使用文明语言等等。这些评论深深地刺痛了她的心。虽然她生长在异国他乡，但是作为炎黄子孙，她无法忍受外国人如此地轻蔑中国人。这一切都激起了她的爱国之情。她想用实际行动来证明中国人的文明程度不低于任何其他国家的人。她要让那些外国人对中国人肃然起敬。

现在，她如愿回到了祖国，并且在首都北京的一所重点中学就读。如今的她再也不会因为外国人批判中国人说的那些话而感到气愤了，因为她觉得他们说的没错。先且不说街道上满地的垃圾，就连校园的操场上都随处可见丢弃的饮料瓶、塑料袋。有一天她回家比较晚，看见清洁工正在满操场地追着那些被风吹到半空中的饮料瓶，并且十分吃力地将它们扔进垃圾桶中。这一幕深深地触动了她，使她开始了思考。她突然有了一个想法，想到应该用自己的行动来带动身边的人，从不乱扔废弃物这样的小事开始做起，使大家逐渐养成讲文明的习惯。

她开始了尝试，但进行得并不顺利。当她向同班的几位同学提出一块儿到操场捡垃圾的建议时，她被回绝了，甚至还有人说她是‘神经病’。她实在无法理解为什么连做好事都可能为誉为‘反常’的行为。也许这就是中国人独有的思维方式吗？

可是有一次，她也在无奈中把吃完雪糕的袋子扔到了路边的草坪中。那是很平常的一天，当她想把雪糕袋子扔到垃圾桶里时，她却发现在她的视线内竟然没有一个垃圾桶！身有急事的她只好把废弃物扔到草坪中。这一无奈的举动使她感到十分尴尬与不安，但是在发现根本没有人注意她的行为时，她并没有感到欣慰，而是轻轻地叹了一口气。

就这样，她明白了自己身边的人并不是不想追求文明，而是周围的条件不能使他们文明。在没有垃圾桶的情况下，人们可能养成随地扔垃圾的坏习惯。但是久而久之，当路上到处都有垃圾桶的时候，这种习惯就已经改不过来了。她也明白了一个人如果想文明，不能光在行动中表现出来，更重要的是必须在心中牢记‘文明’二字。

在反复的考虑之后，她写了一封信给有关的环境部门，建议在公共场所多安置一些垃圾桶，以便过路人可以养成将废物投在垃圾桶中的习惯。信已经寄出去了，至今还没有答复。但是，她始终期待着，希望自己的小小的努力能够对提高人们的文明礼仪修养起到哪怕是一点点的作用，使外国人不会在轻视中国人的文明程度，使祖国再次成为世界的‘礼仪之邦’！

是呀，文明就是这么简单，只要你时时刻刻将它牢记在心中，把礼仪当成自己的一种责任，那么文明礼仪之花定然会在不久的将来在你心中绽放！
