Not much is known about the earliest London Bridge although it’s location is thought to be near the present one. The second bridge a wooden one existing in Saxon times seems to have given rise to the nursery rhyme ‘London Bridge is falling down’ which it did in 1014. The Construction of Tower Bridge began in 1885 and it was opened 9yrs later by Edward VII the then Prince of Wales, Amidst pomp and ceremony. It is the only bridge in London that can be raised to allow ships to pass. Since the Thames is no longer used much as a trade and shipping route, the complex lifting mechanism is only used 4 or 5 times a week. 期中考试已经结束了，这次考试是对于不少刚刚接触英语的初一新生而言是一次重要的考试，是全面衡量学生这段时间学习情况的一次考试。下面我主要从以下几个方面来分析：

一、考试质量分析

1.试题方面

就整个试题而言，考点分布均匀，覆盖面广，考题难度适中，大部分试题能够体现目前注重基础、体现能力的考试命题要求。

2.试卷方面

本次考试题型，分为听力部分、辨音、单项选择、阅读理解、完形填空，词汇运用，阅读表达，翻译句子和写作几个大部分，各部分难易程度不同。大部分题都比较基础，和平时的练习比较起来相对集中一些，更能反映出学生在这一阶段学习中的问题。

此次英语考试的听力部分，内容为与日常教学相关的材料，与所学教材难度相当，较为简单。朗读速度适中，对平日教学的听力训练有着良好的导向作用。但在第一节中还是有部分学生容易犯书写不规范的错误，也有些学生“g”、“j”不分，“r”、“l”混淆，因而造成较多失分。这学期对学生在听力方面的练习不是很多，除了在课堂上少量练习外，平时课下学生几乎得不到练习。

单项选择，突出了课本和平常练习中较基础的知识，学生训练较多，此部分得分较好。

完形填空，对于我校大部分基础较薄弱学生而言觉得难度较大，因选项具有大的灵活性，而学生在平时对单词的记忆和对句子的积累还不够牢，而且也没有掌握好做题技巧，没有联系上下文推测出正确答案，以至于此部分得分较低。

翻译句子，由于平时练习较多，且反复强调大小写及单词、字母的正确书写，因此这部分得分比预计要好。阅读表达学生在此题得分较少，不是多了这个就是漏了那个，答的不好，得分非常低。

写作部分大部分学生书写较差，只有极少数学生在这部分未动笔。

二、分析原因

教师方面的原因：

这段时间由于课时多，时间紧，因此对学生部分知识掌握情况的落实不够，这也是这次考试成绩不高的原因之一。从这次考试中应该吸取这样的教训。在以后的英语教学中，加大管理力度，提高学生在课堂上的学习效率。

学生方面的原因：

1.部分学生的基础知识不够扎实，且大部分学生毫无学习习惯而言，记忆知识极难，遗忘知识快，过去滚瓜烂熟的东西一段时间不用就忘了。

2.学生的应变能力有待提高，不能正确写出单词的正确形式。

3.理解能力不强，完形填空、阅读理解失分较多，不能理解通篇大意。

4.不能熟练运用学过的句型。很容易漏掉be动词。

三、今后采取的措施

抓好单词、词组过关，狠抓知识落实。在进行单词和词组教学时，首先让学生读准音，然后反复读单词和词组，并找出同义词、反义词、类似用法的词一起记。在进行句型时，以小组合作等方式举一反三，反复练习课堂上学习的句型。平时督促学生多听录音磁带，一星期集中训练两次听力，在培养学生的听力技巧和听力能力上多下功夫，提高他们的听力能力和听力技巧。

苗条的身材，一头柔顺的长发，这就是我——一个现代的女中学生。我认为我自己的个性很像男孩，可邻居们都说我很文静。唉！那就在你们面前继续做一个文静的女孩子吧！

我留着长长的马尾辫，走起路来一甩一甩的，充满了青春活力。圆而红润的鸭蛋脸，一个小小的鼻子衬在我的樱桃小嘴之上，还挺合适的呢！唯一令我感到不满意的地方，就是我的眼睛太小了，不过，它到挺有神的。嘿，还真不错，现在看起来，我的这双眼睛还真是越来越漂亮了。

如果问我的兴趣是什么，我倒可以清清楚楚地告诉你：我喜欢听音乐。因为音乐可以让我得到解脱，让我感动，令我陶醉，使我可以用一种特殊的方式享受生活，感受生活的美。

至于我的性格嘛，唉！有时候连我自己也说不清楚。别看我在学校里这么活泼、淘气，在家中，我可是个十分听话的“乖孩子”.爸爸妈妈都说我非常懂事，他们说一，我绝对不说二。可有时候我又是一个爱哭鬼。比如说，老师批评了我，妈妈因过多疼爱哥哥而冷落我时，我就会一个人偷偷地躲在房间里哭。当看到特别伤感的电视镜头或生活中的感人细节时，我同样是眼泪鼻涕一大把。

当然除了爱哭，笑容也常常挂在我的脸上。比如，当听到了一个非常好笑的笑话时，我才不管什么“行不露趾，笑不露齿”之类奇怪的话，马上就会哈哈大笑起来，笑得前仰后合，不是有句俗语说“笑一笑，十年少；愁一愁，白了头”吗？所以，我很少会感到忧愁，人嘛！就应当快快乐乐地过完每一天。

这就是我，一个“文静”而又快乐的女孩。
