地球是人类和其他物种的共同家园，然而由于人类常常采取乱砍滥伐、竭泽而渔等不良发展方式，地球上物种灭绝的速度大大加快。生物多样性丧失的趋势正使生态系统滑向不可恢复的临界点，如果地球生态系统最终发生不可挽回的恶化，人类文明所赖以存在的相对稳定的环境条件将不复存在。

在这时，联合国将每年的6月5日定为世界环境日，它反映了世界各国人民对环境问题的认识和态度，表达了人类对美好环境的向往和追求。响应今年主题：森林：大自然为您效劳。我们社区开展了植树活动，让每个家庭都出一份力。

我们家发的了铲子、水桶和几棵小树苗，准备去植树了。我们走到公园时，只见大家都忙开了。我们赶紧找到一块地开始种树，我们把树苗放在一旁，我和爸爸负责铲土，哥哥和妈妈负责提水，就开始了。我使劲地往地上一铲，没想到这土这么硬。但为了世界的环境，我一定要加把劲，我越想力气就越大，不一会，脚边就有了一层厚厚的土，大家都干热火朝天，不一会儿就栽好了一棵树，大伙又忙起来了……
