It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. 2013年5月31日是世界卫生组织发起的第26个“世界无烟日”，悉尼对“世界无烟日”的活动很重视，各大社区都举行不同形式的活动。我们居住的Pole depot 社区早在3月份就做了策划，并举办“世界无烟日”的中文创作比赛。

Pole depot 社区的“世界无烟日”的中文创作比赛，不论文体，诗歌、散文、记述文...都可以，口号、广告词、照片、图画也可以参赛。基于烟草对人体的健康危害很大，同时也想了解一些悉尼社区的活动，我按今年的主题“全面禁止烟草广告、促销和赞助”投了一 稿，参加 Pole depot 社区的“世界无烟日”中文创作比赛。

5月20日收到 Pole depot 社区的来函，邀请我参加5月31日在好市围图书馆的举行的“世界无烟日”活动。我应邀参加，活动之后感慨良多，留点文字记录。

感慨主要有四：

1、 Pole depot 社区“世界无烟日”的活动策划严谨，有活动计划，有时间表，有工作分工，注重细节，善始善终，堪称完美;

2、社区对“世界无烟日”活动很重视，对其中的中文创作比赛还专门从香港中文大学邀请评委，Herstville市的华人议员刘娜新亲自督阵，参与创作评审并出席5月31日的“世界无烟日”活动和致辞、颁奖;

3、悉尼的华人中藏龙卧虎，很多老人中文造诣颇深，参赛作品水平高;

Nature cannot be improved, the life can choose to choose green, environmental protection, everybody is responsible for.

环境保护，人人有责。 我不小心感冒了，不知道是为什么，于是就去看了医生，妈妈问这“是流感吗?”妈妈问。

医生摇了摇头说：“因为空气中有太多的病毒，到处是垃圾，修房子的灰尘，工业排放的废气等，这些都导致空气质量差、病毒多的原因。”我似乎明白了很多。

随着社会的发展，生活水平不断提高，我们喝上了自来水，用上了电视机，冰箱，取暖器，电梯等。但生活中我们不断地在浪费资源：打扫卫生的水，浇花的水，洗衣服的水，每天都在浪费。水对于我们有多大的用处，浇灌农田要用水，修建房屋要用水，花草树木需要水，还有人们的生活用水工业用水等，没有水我们就无法生存。然而水在被我们浪费，被污染。如果我们用洗碗的水来浇花，洗衣服的水来打扫卫生，洗手时水开小一点，那我们要节约多少水。电也一样，我们每天每人少开一盏灯、少看一小时的电视，少座一次电梯，我们要节约多少电。当我们站在街上，闻到的是臭气，走在大街上到处是垃圾，抬头看天空灰蒙蒙一片，一辆接一辆的汽车都在排放着尾气，还有人在乱砍伐树木?注意观察，仔细想想，我们的环保意识实在太差了。

自然不可改良、生活可以选择 选择绿色生活、环境保护，人人有责。
