一次，我和爸爸一块看电视，爸爸又若无其事地抽起烟来，顿时房间里又是烟雾弥漫。我举起手扇开爸爸吹出的烟。爸爸生气地说：“你管什么，我抽烟碍你什么事?”我听了以后反驳说：“您知道吗?烟里面的毒性多，报纸上说一只烟里的尼古丁可毒死一只老鼠，20支烟里的尼古丁可毒死一头牛……我是希望您远离烟啊!”尽管我的劝说句句在理，可是爸爸只说了：“你不抽不就行了。”我非常疑惑：既然爸爸已经知道了烟的危害，并告诉我不要吸烟，那他为什么不为自己，为身边的人想一想呢?

现在，我多么希望爸爸能够摆脱烟瘾，让自己，也让家人过上无烟生活。我更希望所有的烟民们都能醒悟，尽快戒烟。

5月31日是世界卫生组织(WHO)发起的第二十四个“世界无烟日”。本次无烟日的主题是“世界卫生组织《烟草控制框架公约》”，口号是“烟草致命如水火无情控烟履约可挽救生命”。我校根据市健康教育所、区教育局文件精神，开展了形式多样、富有实效的学习、宣传活动。

首先，在5月30日，由大队辅导员利用升国旗仪式向全校师生发出无烟行动倡议，倡议全体学生“拒吸第一支烟，做无烟青少年”。并通过校园广播、电子屏幕、观看宣传片学习吸烟有害健康的相关知识。然后，同学们在对吸烟危害有了深刻认识的前提下，画一幅吸烟有害健康的漫画、写一句关于吸烟危害的标语，在一楼中厅进行控烟小报展，对全校师生进行宣传。最后，医务室向有吸烟亲人的学生发放控烟宣传材料，把戒烟宣传活动覆盖到社会的每个角落。

活动的开展，使全校师生们进一步认识到了吸烟的危害性，增强了自我控制能力，自觉抵制诱惑。大家纷纷表示要从自我做起，从身边做起，远离烟草并劝阻周围的人远离烟草，使我们的生活方式更健康，使我们的社会环境更和谐。

第一届联合国人类环境会议于1972年6月5--16日在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩举行。包括中国在内的113个国家参加了这次大会。会议讨论了当代环境问题，探讨了保护全球环境的战略;会上通过了著名的《斯德哥尔摩环境宣言》，也就是《联合国人类环境宣言》;会上还通过了具有109条建议的保护全球环境的《行动计划》;会议呼吁“为了这一代和将来的世世代代而保护和改善环境，已成为人类一个紧迫的目标，”这个目标将同争取和平和全世界的经济与社会发展这两个既定的基本目标共同和协调地实现”，会议建议联合国将联合国人类环境会议开幕日这天定为“世界环境日”。

同年，第27届联合国大会决定把每年的6月5日定为“世界环境日”。

联合国确定“世界环境日”的意义在于提醒全世界注意全球环境状况和人类活动对环境的危害。

继1972年第一届联合国人类环境会议，1992年在巴西召开了联合国环境与发展大会，确定了使经济和环境协调发展的战略，将人类保护环境的共同努力推向一个新阶段。 联合国环境规划署每年初颁布当年的“世界环境日”主题，并在每年的“世界环境日”这天发表环境现状的年度报告书。中国国家环保总局每年在此期间发布《中国环境状况公报》。

6月11日上午，由唐山市献血办、唐山市红十字会、唐山市卫生计生委主办的“世界献血者日”大型宣传活动在凤凰山公园举行。今年6月14日是第14个“世界献血者日”，今年的主题是“我能做什么”，活动口号为“献血，现在献血，经常献血”。

此次活动分为环凤凰山徒步宣传、有奖知识竞猜、医务人员现场义诊等环节。活动现场，市民踊跃参与，纷纷走上采血车献血。志愿者们热情地为无偿献血者服务，为参与活动的市民讲解无偿献血常识。

当天上午，共有87人捐献了血液，在一定程度上缓解了我市临床用血的压力，彰显了无偿献血者无私奉献的高尚情怀和乐于助人的精神。
