6月5日是第45个世界环境日，当天下午，怡园街道在槐云文化广场开展世界环境日宣传活动。

活动现场，怡园街道工作人员和部分环保志愿者向群众宣传新环境保护法知识，通过挂条幅、发放环保知识手册、环保购物袋等多种形式向群众宣传环保，传播和弘扬“生活方式绿色化”理念，吸引不少居民参与。76岁的夏大爷是槐云社区居民，他认为，低碳环保，人人有责，“每人每天都应该问问自己，今天你低碳了吗?”

据了解，近年来，怡园街道通过组织开展“徒步走”、“低碳趣味运动会”等大型活动增强居民环境意识，让居民从日常点滴做起，与“低碳”为伴，把节能、环保变成每一个人的日常行动。

I study in the No.1 Primary School. Its one of the best primary schools in my city. There are four buildings in campus.Two of them are teaching buildings. The other two are library and gym. The teaching buildings are huge and the classroom is large and bright. There are plenty of books in the library. I like reading books in the library. After class, students like playing in the gym. This August I went to a two-week long English camp which was held by English Beacon in Yantai city Shandong Province. There were over a hundred middle school students from all over the country and thirty experts in English teaching participating in this exciting camp.

While we were there it was required that we speak only English to our teachers and with each other. There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills such as the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Studentsthe Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.

One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Protect our environment

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. 5月8日，是第69个世界红十字日，今年“5.8”世界红十字日的主题是“红十字：处处为人人”。在5.8世界红十字日来临之际，为呼吁社会各界更加关注、重视红十字事业，发扬中华民族敬老爱老的传统美德，共同营造关爱老人的良好氛围，事业发展中心将倡导全国的曜阳养老品牌建设战略合作机构组织开展“关爱长者，让曜阳老人安享幸福晚年”为主题的系列纪念活动。5月5日，中国红十字会总会事业发展中心牵手爱心企业赴山西大同魏都颐养康复护理院看望慰问老人，正式拉开了纪念5.8世界红十字日系列活动的序幕。

中国红十字会总会事业发展中心是中国红十字会总会直属事业单位，自成立以来，一直高举公益大旗，坚持弘扬“人道、博爱、奉献”红十字精神，秉持“心系民生、回报社会”的公益理念，充分发挥红十字组织优势，致力于养老公益事业，着力打造“曜阳”养老公益品牌。目前，已初步形成能满足不同老人养老需求的“曜阳老年公寓”、“曜阳托老所”和“曜阳保姆服务”的养老服务体系。

在慰问活动现场，福州曜阳胜杰有限公司董事长林传春向魏都颐养康复护理院捐赠了价值10万元的护理床、轮椅等设备;北京城建十建设工程有限公司董事长唐保明向大同魏都颐养康复护理院的36名失能老人捐赠10万元现金;江西世纪长龙生物制氧有限公司为老人捐赠了便携式高纯“OB氧”，老人们深受感动。

事业发展中心主任江丹介绍，养老服务是事业发展中心的重点工作。为积极响应党中央关于鼓励社会力量参与养老服务，积极做好应对老龄社会到来的号召，近年来，事业发展中心先后启动实施了“曜阳关爱失能老人行动”、“中央专项彩票公益金支持失能老人养老服务项目”，筹建“曜阳养老品牌建设合作联盟”等一系列公益性养老服务的新举措，到目前为止，上述公益养老行动，已让全国近800家养老机构和近4万名失能老人直接受惠，间接惠及的老年人数达到了10万人以上。

20xx年6月5日是第四十五个世界环境日，为了强化居民群众的环境保护意识，永福苑社区联合永昌县环保局在辖区内开展了以“改善环境质量，推动绿色发展”为主题的世界环境保护日宣传活动。

活动现场，工作人员向居民发放了《环保知识宣传手册》、《环境空气质量常识》等宣传资料200余份，旨在引导居民更好地践行绿色环保，倡导绿色生态、健康环保的生活方式，呼吁广大群众自觉抵制焚烧秸秆、杂草、垃圾等影响空气质量的行为，积极投身到环保行动中来，以实际行动为构建绿色环保社区出一份力。

本次宣传活动，工作人员的热情倡议赢得了社区居民的一致称赞，极大地激发了居民群众参与环境保护的热情。通过逐步树立节约能源资源，保护生态环境的生活理念，不断提高居民群众的责任感，有效推进生态文明建设。
